I've seen many, MANY DCI/DCA/Jazz/Latin/HBFS8738202387 players in my life, but Casey is probably THE most talented young man I know playing the drums right now. Hes a huge influence on me. Excellent tricks, syncopations, phrasings, drum n bass incorpotated. everything. Wow. :]
I'm sure all of us have seen Casey's awe-inspiring I&E solo in 2005. This is pretty much is that same as that piece, except each section has clear divides, as obviously he is playing along to songs. Is this how he came up with his I&E solo? How are they related? Maybe he recorded this afterwards? It would be awesome if these songs inspired his solo. Also - just because I'm incredibly jealous of Casey - he appears to have screwed up for a second at 3:18. Does anyone else think so?
whoa dude. i wasnt criticizing. the guy above just said that he doesnt messup. i just dont think thats true. everybody messes up. you didnt have to be all like that. and i already hes better than me. i never for one second thought that i was better than him so. dont be like that.
Not to sound rude or offensive, but Casey is a 10X better player than Travis. Casey's licks are faster and much more complex than Travis', don't even get started on tricks. Travis marched 0 years of Drum Corp, Casey marched Blue Devils, for idk how many years. Once again not to sound rude, but Casey is WAY WAY BETTER!
well, travis is actually not that great at just snare. hes pretty good on set, but marching snare is NOT his best quality. Casey just blows travis out of the water

Tim Jackson on the set Vs. Travis Barker on the set.. Who do u think would win??
do those sticks look really skinny or is it the video? regardless, enjoyable.
awesome
@watchcoww Look him up. He's actually pretty goos. IDK if he's as good Travis but I believe Tim played the set growing up..

@weinerschnitzelboy Uhh on snare dude, I could out play Travis....The dude is awesome at set. Not all that amazing on snare alone.
I hate this man, but in the worshiping "i wish i had ur skillz" kinda way :)

Travis Barker is honestly very very talented on the drum set..but..put him on snare next to any DCI drummer...sorry travis..
yeah but brohard has nothing on Rick Beckham.... I can guarantee it.
how is he a sellout?
well, travis is actually not that great at just snare. hes pretty good on set, but marching snare is NOT his best quality. Casey just blows travis out of the water
travis barker isn't good at snare at all... casey was a blue devils captain and rcc snare... travis couldnt even make the blue devils c corp...
barker's solo is the same thing over and over again. nothin special.
@watchcoww that's a joke, travis is the most overrated set player in existence...
Fail
