I have the exact model and have been using it for almost 6 years now. Have taken it to just about everywhere. Trekking, sea sports, etc. Still running as good as the day I bought it. Amazing value for the price!

Wow 6yrs, it is living to its name "tough"
Worth every penny, been using mine for 10 years now, with no maintenance whatsoever, still keeps accurate time and the power-saving feature is amazing, I only have to change the resin strap because it already gave up on the 8th year of use, changed it with an army green nato strap, looking forward to another decade with it now

I got this model dirt cheap at Walmart. It had been in their display for a very long time. It had a yellow markdown sticker for $15.00, and when I took it to the register it rang up for $10.00!!! Amazing watch, but damn, small wrists beware. This is a big one.
AQS800 series is same internals but just a bit smaller

Love me some some Casio! I have four solar , three of them are atomic time. I get my first 25 years ago, It still works!
Nice review. I have worn mine everyday for about 3 years and am amazed at how well it has held up.. As for the solar power, I have never seen the reading showing anything except HI. This watch is an excellent value and I would recommend.

This watch goes through so many things, it got so dirty, but it works well all the time.

i have the AQ - S810W - 1 a model, I bought it some time in year 2012, as everyday watch. After 10 years it sure looks beat up but still running. Battery still good. I had never wear a watch this long before. I wanna buy a new one but I have no reason.
This is a great watch for the money no question I have the gunmetal on black & it looks great for casual or dressy occasions!
great watch, I chose the green model- an everyday work watch, it is very accurate and has many functions (some I will never use) and for it's affordable price- you can't get any better. Good Casio durability/reliability. Almost a G-shock.

Just picked one up for £35 over here in Scotland, totally agree that this watch is a steal, might get "G-Shock" adaptors for fabric strap, as the resin strap (for me) is not my favourite feature..but hey ,why complain, this is a no-brainer bargain... !!

FYI. The hand set feature is to only get it to 00:00 (both hands at 12). If you try to set the analog time with that it will throw it off when the digital syncs back up with it. SET THE DIGITAL TIME FIRST.

I have one, as well as a bunch of G-Shocks and Casios. It’s one of my best watches, considering it’s low price.
I have two of these-one blue, one green. Very dependable, very accurate, very affordable.

I'm a sucker for the big, overstated, beveled chapter ring with the molded-in markers. Never thought I'd be into these chonker watches, but they've got depth and texture and detail and are just fun to look at.

I have one that I’ve been using for about 8 years, I first got it for scouts and it’s scuffed up but ticking! Casio has always been my brand of choice for sheer value and quality. I think mine has an acrylic glass though?
Agree. But don't store it in an unlighted place for too long. When the battery totally drains (yes, it has a battery, a rechargeable one) the battery replacement will be more expensive than the watch.
Just got this watch for $25 at Walmart...definitely worth the money. I'm thinking about getting a Garmin Instinct, any thoughts?

@Douglas Pantera Mine is about 6years now. and counting. My strap is still intact but the buckle kept removing some few months until i lost it. but now fitted with a new metallic buckle. The watch sleeps at night and wakes up when u pick it up(im sure after detecting source of light)

@Douglas Pantera my watch is tough solar S810W i used this for almost 3 years then suddenly stopped and i have no idea that it should be charge on the sunlight...i keep it to my drawer for almost 2 years😭 now i try to charge it now to sunlight i dont know if it will be working 😭
I got the grey one with orange numbers and markings for $25 on eBay (new Amazon return). I did the hydro mod it as well. I really like it. Thank you for your video which convinced me to get it!

Thanks for doing this video. I feel like it is the best of all three of the reviews on RUclips. I just ordered this watch a few days ago. It hasn't arrived yet. I thought that the 5 bars on the lower right were battery level indicators. Now I see that they are just second indicators. That is just plain lame. I like everything else about it though :)

If the analog hands do not automatically syncronyze with the digital tume that you set, use the instructuins on manual 5208 pp E42 and 43 wuth this inderstanding: "2. Ad0fter evrything is the way you want it' actually means "After the hour and minute hands are aligned at 12 0'oclock, ...."

I have bought 2 of these but had to return both as the alarm could only be heard when the watch is held to your ear, can anyone confirm the alarm can be heard when wearing?

Very accurate, haven’t touched this watch in months, just checked and it was just 16 seconds ahead of my atomic watches, very acceptable range…Thanks for tuning in!
I like it but I'm older so I need better glow at night with big digits. The lume fades in the night. The tiny digital screen too hard to see. Plus I like radio controlled wave ceptor types. Very accurate. The best is my G-shock MTG-900. Soo easy like a watch is supposed to be

Avinash Choubey Tough Solar is an incredible feature for such an affordable watch, the power core should last a lifetime especially if the watch gets routine doses of light...just be careful not to leave it too long in direct sunlight which could harm the watch. Thanks so much for watching!

This is a GORGEOUS looking watch. But now I'm debating on which one to buy. This one, or the white one.
Better buy this one since the white one would be dirty really fast.

@@bertbirge3617 I ended up buying the white one. Had it for 3 years now. To this day,........ I kid you not, it's still in MINT condition. It literally looks like I just purchased it TODAY. Not a single micro scratch nor stain or anything at all. I've kept it like this with intensive care.
When I wear it, I make sure to wear it with a short sleeve shirt or with my sleeves rolled up. I'm always weary of keeping my watch close to me when walking through door ways. I'm really careful to not bang it under a table when eating.
I wear it ONLY when I go out somewhere. I wipe it clean everytime I come home as I have no need to wear in the house. When not wearing it, I place it in it's original box and store it safely in my closet.

Why was the UTC time on my watch 3 minutes faster than actual UTC time?
You forgot to say about 5 sec LONG PRESS the ADJUST button to SYNC the hands to the digital watch.

It would be nice if not for those supersized buttons, I think they ruin the design, they look out of place in an otherwise nice and round profile, like some "horns" or something.
Those SKX Seiko watches keep horrible time, they are Too heavy and chunky although they are old school cool and look great...
The g shock is rugged and expensive,also the digits are too small for us older guys 50 + in age and those round blinking eyes are useless real estate for potentially larger, more legible digits... battery life will be 3 to 5 years...
The casio tough solar analog digital is the winner ... Light weight, legible analog, solar power (will out last the g shock) price is $39 at Walmart and very comfortable...I have the orange digit AQS810 and love it... It's my work beater and has been worth every penny.

The battery is a (solar) rechargeable Li-ion I believe, not sure its replaceable. Definitely get it to indirect sunlight and see if it recharges. Good luck and thanks for watching!
What's the purpose of 5 sevc bar on the side of digital display
Since there is no analog seconds hand on this watch, that digital sub-dial is in place to give reference for seconds increments I believe. Thanks for watching!

I kept my unit inside my luggage for almost two years, today I checked it, but the watch is not working, what i have to do?
Put it in the sun (but make sure it doesn't overheat) and once it has a charge back it will start right up.
Can you turn off the digital window display?
I don't believe that there is a way to actively turn off the digital display. The power saving feature does shut it off but this is a passive feature that only occurs when the watch is set down in a dark setting for 60-70 minutes. Thanks for tuning in!

I think the HDC700 looks great ..not solar but has a 10 year battery, hard to beat at a good price!
