Thanks for the great review. I think it’s great, but a $400 “standard diver” is a VERY tough market to dip your toe in as your first watch. It’s still very nice and has a great look about it. Thanks!
The bracelet looks very good. Orange tipped seconds hand, nice. Beveled hands, nice. Overall a great looker, not overdone. A little pricey. Nice review.
I totally get what you said about fancy dials. All the sparkling, dune/wave, exotic dials are pretty to look at, but personally, they are not something i would want to have on my wrist. Nice to see a back to basics dial 👍
Thanks, full time at it now so have the time to do it and always looking for ways to improve but also work quicker. Sadly my RUclips revenue is not what it could be. No mid roll ads which I do for the benefit of my audience…but there are other revenue streams so I’m not complaining!
That's an incredibly good looking tool diver. Not a fan of 62mas style lugs and would prefer a on-the-fly clasp, but I'm tempted if it was 360 on the nose (no import duty)
Love the simplicity and the finishing on this. With the discounts it’s not a bad price. Split pins always drive me nuts, but, yeah, pin and collar are the devil. Nice watch!
Thanks for bringing us this one, I had never heard of Belhamel before. Good looking watch....does the clasp have multi-adjustable on the fly capability?
As far as I can tell prototypes had microadjust holes, the clasp shown here doesn't, so it seems likely to be on-the-fly. Would have been nice to have this confirmed in the review.
That was an interesting point you started with, I think we are all expecting something new ,different ,weird or eccentric with every watch release. This watch is pleasing to the eye it must be said ,in it's simplicity it stands out if that makes sense
I think the Glycine Combat Sub 39 automatic is even thinner than this, is rated for 300m and offers similar design and specifications at a similar (street) price.
This is a very nice watch, thank you for this video. Another 200 metrers diver under 12mm thickness, is the Mido Ocean Star 200, only 11.8mm thick. I'm a proud owner of this watch. I recogment any watch enthusiast to check it out.
Looks nice, simple , sober. I can't help but doubt the 300m resistance...not that I would ever get that deep..... but it would be interesting to tie it to a line and let it go down....
I have a 25 year old 36mm diver from Ellesse, which would now be called a fashion brand but it has a high beat ETA auto movement with date and see thru case back. Only 200m w/r but it's only 9.7mm thick. They seldom make them like that these days.
Push pins? And why didn't you show us the clasp? is it "on-the-fly" adjustment clasp? honestly, I like the dial, indices and hands. but push pins? would like to see how the clasp adjustment works...
@cedarcanoe You need to take some of your own advice, bud. It literally says in the video that the bezel alignment is off. Get yourself booked in at specsavers
That thickness is good, in the territory of NTH divers, but the Spinnaker Spence is the thinnest automatic 300M diver I know of. I just measured mine at 10.8 mm
That once was the original meaning, perhaps, but more commonly the word has long been used (and is fast becoming old-fashioned) to indicate an unpleasantly naughty boy.....
iPhone 14 and a very cheap macro from Amazon. It’s more to do with the camera setting post editing settings and lighting. Camera these days isn’t that important as most film 60fps 4K
Had this watch. Was not so impressed with design and how big it wears. On the other hand, bought Foster 11 Atmos to replace that 62mas inspired case... couldn't be happier. If you're looking for comparable dimensions, case style, sexier refinements, amazing slim case profile and a much more retro feel, go for the Foster and thank me later.
Simple blue dial, but there's something nice about it idk maybe the blue tint on the glass or some sort of reflection on the dial i don't mind closeback cases all my watches are less then $1000 anyways so they have pretty basic movements
Nah mate, unless it has a nasty old scratch on the crystal and 6years of accumulated DNA its not a tool. Interestingly in my home language Belhamel is a "rough chap", so this gets my thumbs up 👍🏻
Nice, ordinary watch. I think this is something that if you’ve already spent a bit more and got a higher spec’d but similar alternative - think Tuseno, Venezianico, something like that - then this can probably be passed over. Also, second video in a short period that you’ve mentioned Jody. Whatever is happening - I hope it’s reciprocated!
I think the whole 300m things is more of a marketing gimmick than anything else. Anyway, where's the proof that it can actually survive to that depth? Let's call the hydraulic press channel! 😁
LOL, some obnoxious comments in this thread. Some of yall prob drink their own piss. It's one very slick watch! Looks even better in-situ. There's nothing wrong with the name either, sounds perfectly fine to me. Love the meaning of it if what some of the Dutch here are saying is facts. I swear, the concept of minimalism swooshes so fast over heads, some folks think a design is only good if it looks like a school art project 😂
As a Dutch person, I burst out laughing when I saw the brand name. A "belhamel" is an archaic term we use for naughty boys. But it's older meaning used to be a castrated male sheep, with a bell around its neck so it could lead the flock.
@@ilikewatches considering the price absolutely, but CW for me without thinking it has date and see trough case back also 39mm too small diameter for a diver if you ask me
Oh but I like simple watches, I have few of them actually - the problem for me is not its simplicity, but rather the lack of any character. It's indistinguishable. These days seems like everyone and their mother feel the need to start a watch microbrand - unfortunately very few of them put any effort into making their watches interesting.
Is it actually water resistant to 300m though? Easy enough to print that on the dial innit, Who’s gonna actually test it “in the wild” Brand name Font is boring AF too 🥱
Belhamel are ahead of the curve when everyone has had enough GMT divers with fancy dials
I own it and love it, no bezel alignment issues. Great watch.
Thanks for the great review. I think it’s great, but a $400 “standard diver” is a VERY tough market to dip your toe in as your first watch. It’s still very nice and has a great look about it. Thanks!
I like it! No nonsense, simple but classy design. Looks reasonably well made as well.
The bracelet looks very good. Orange tipped seconds hand, nice. Beveled hands, nice. Overall a great looker, not overdone. A little pricey. Nice review.

The rate at which you churn out high quality watch content is admirable, good sir. 👏🏼

It sure reminds of a SanMartin minus the quality steel finishing Thanks for sharing as always my friend Be well and keep em coming 👍
My favorite dive watch, Certina DS Action Diver 38mm is also a 300m diver at only a half mm thicker, and it’s ISO certified 👌
Christopher Ward C60 is 11.5mm according to their website and is also 300m WR.
In fact the 38mm C60 is meant to be 11mm. I can't remember measuring it to confirm when I had one.
Unusual name, wonder how the brand came to it. Belhamel is a slightly old fashioned Dutch word that was used to indicate an unpleasantly naughty boy.
That moment is solid I will be getting that watch. Anything but a NH xxx

This goes to show how you can make a gorgeous watch, functional, and still keep the design uncluttered. Just gorgeous.
That was an interesting point you started with, I think we are all expecting something new ,different ,weird or eccentric with every watch release. This watch is pleasing to the eye it must be said ,in it's simplicity it stands out if that makes sense
Good review, I like the plain dial and movement, but £360 from the US is £432 plus handling charge to too much for me.
Why aren’t all dive watches skinny and rated to 100m?
Just so much nicer to wear and nobody needs more than 100m WR and a screw-down crown.
I agree completely, a properly wet tested 100m watch is anyone needs as even scuba divers don't generally go below 50m to avoid decompression.
💯% agree!!
I think the Glycine Combat Sub 39 automatic is even thinner than this, is rated for 300m and offers similar design and specifications at a similar (street) price.
Yes it's only 11.2 mm thick

300m actually! No worries there!

Or you could just take it to a watch shop for a pressure test.
Mine arriving in 12 days, can't wait ❤
mine is coming on Monday, cant wait !
That is a nice looking watch. The thinner the better for me. 👍
My favourite watch! I have the set. The blue dialled version could be more blue is the only improvement this watch needed.
Nice one, it reminds me of the Tusenö Shellback style, case and braclet ☺️
Apparently the 316l is also hardened. I wonder if they used a Tenifer type finish? If so that is *very* cool
This with colour on the bezel would look fantastic 😊

Design and proportions pleasing to my eyes.
The new CW 300 diver is 11.3 with an exhibition case back and a Swiss movement.
The new pool blue christopher ward 300m 40mm has a height of 11.3mm. That's what they state on their website
Was the clasp on the fly adjustable?
Polishing game is on point 👌🏻
For £360, not having the bezel aligned properly is rather unforgivable.
@cedarcanoe You need to take some of your own advice, bud. It literally says in the video that the bezel alignment is off. Get yourself booked in at specsavers
Unless it says Seiko on it. 😂
@@broughy23 I'm not your bud, pal.

I really like this one👍😄

Yeah…not seen that one but if that includes the crystal that’s insane
Very nice, I like it. Classic skindiver proportions and appearance. Just a little more capable than skindivers of old.
Yup, just a little!
Belhamel (Dutch): a castrated male sheep that with a bell strapped on its neck is used to lead the herd.
Nice watch though.
Sheep shearing or shaving for money. 😁

Hope you don't mind me asking, but what camera/lens do you film your table overhead and macro shots with? Very nice quality.

The milled clasp is somewhat out of proportion being almost as thick as the watch itself. Other than that, beautiful watch.
Glycine = thin. And Swiss $300

I'm actually happy the Black Bay 54 is 200m and not 300m ;)
We have seen plenty of those, but… is this Belhamel the most perfect design?
Nice watch
I own a 35 year old 500M Girard-Perregaux 7100 sea hawk , it's only 10mm .
I think that the 9015 is more obtainable rather than cheaper

Needs a fitted rubber strap, that bracelet and clasp do not go well with the watch, maybe a mesh would work too
No, not mesh on this. The bracelet and clasp go well with the watch.
The name of the brand and especially the font used, gives it AliExpress vibes, which is a shame.
So does that strong blue anti reflective coating.
