      I’m 6’3, 240, covered in tattoos, gauged ears, piercings, the works. Not what you’d consider emotional at first glance. Two years ago, I got a phone call on my way to work that my grandma had passed away. I bawled my eyes out for 8 hours thru my shift, as since she wasn’t considered immediate family, I wasnt allowed to leave work. Still, two years later, I still get teary eyed thinking about her. She essentially acted as my dad growing up. The things left unsaid, the last things i said to her.. It was and still is the hardest loss I’ve ever had.

    My best friend was emotionally adopted by my own mom since she never had a mother, her mother passed when he was a toddler and doesn’t remember her much. Throughout high school she got attached to my mom more and more so we both understood that it does take a village to raise a child. Now we are adults and she has her own little family but is still grateful to have the connection with my mom to this day. If I could share my mom with everyone who has a mother that’s passed I would she has all that love to give and she taught me also to give love to others also. I hope mothers and children who lost loved ones find peace and understanding as the time of healing continues.

The hardest thing I think anyone could ever go through is losing a loved one. Almost three years later, pain is still there, but learned to manage the pain, it means EVERYTHING. Here I am still alive, and everyone who is here despite pains in the world, it will grow us stronger! ❤️

    My mom is alive and well, but I haven’t seen her for more than 15 years since she lives far away from us. I know that it’s hard for the sons and daughters to lose their mothers as well as the mothers who lost their children, because I couldn’t imagine losing my own parents. My thoughts are with all of these lovely people and to the ones out there who still keep their head high and stayed strong for their loved ones that are still with them as well as honoring their dearly departed. May your hearts and minds be able to find lasting peace from the pains you’ve been feeling.

    TO THE PEOPLE THAT DISLIKED THIS VIDEO:
    I hope it was an accident. Bc, this video is so heart warming and so beautiful💯. I was gonna write something mean to tell you off about it, but I want to spread kindness. Bc maybe you were hurt today, or had something happen to you. I wish you well if so. But going around bringing others down just bc you had a bad day, or bad week doesnt help anyone. Honestly I'm saying this because this should be liked and shared by more people, to raise the algorithm. You never know, this video might make it into someone's feed while their scrolling through RUclips and bring a smile to their face. All because you took the time out of your day to be positive and like or share. Instead of being self conceited and "in ya bag", to the point where you have to dislike someone's video just because. Sorry for the paragraph(?), but I just don't get how some people dislike a video that is so wholesome. In the video there was NOTHING said or done to offend anyone. Just my opinion though, I know how some people are, they just don't get it.🤷🏽‍♂️😕

    • @tiedyedowl8367
      @tiedyedowl8367 4 года назад +3

      There are people who dislike channels and automatically downvote any video they see on it. It really doesn’t effect the algorithm much at all though, what counts is how many people watch the video, if they watch till the end, and if they click off within the first... I think it’s 5 seconds, maybe 10 seconds that’s what really hurts a video in the algorithm.

      i understand where you're coming from but no one has the responsibility to make someone else smile or to like a video just because it'll make the algorithm more likely to recommend it to other people. people can dislike it because of the production, the content, whatever. i personally enjoyed the video.

She was nicknamed a miracle by her doctors for holding on for so long. She had countless surgeries, she had countless hemodialysis, and she had more life than I am now. When she passed away, one of my relatives (who was my mom's cousin and best friend) said that she hold on so she can see me grow and she was looking forward to seeing me graduate, maybe get married.
    Being the teenager I was. I never processed my grief. At the first 6 years after she passed. I feel relieved that she doesn't feel any pain anymore. but as I became more mature... it always hit me so hard.

And all I wanted to do was grieve so it was very hard for us both. When you stick two people in a home during quarantine that are both grieving in different way and different times it’s very hard. I will grieve that loss for the rest of my life she was basically my mother too and I’ve become comfortable grieving her. She had so much compassion for everyone and always was there if I needed her even while she was struggling with her own addiction. This video definitely brought tears but when they started talking about how to cope with a death it hit the spot gave me some what of an idea on how to deal. So thank you buzzfeed.
