  • Samantha Fuentes, a former student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, testified about the injuries she suffered at the hands of Nikolas Cruz, who faces a possible death sentence for the mass shooting that killed 17 people at the Parkland school. Fuentes told jurors that she was hit with shrapnel throughout her body and still has multiple pieces inside including one behind her eye. Fuentes said she was covered in blood when she left the classroom after the shooting was over.

Murder, armed theft, rape and kidnapping happens in every country all over the world. The USA just has a unique gun culture and an unfortunate side effect of that, is the very rare occasion of a mass shooter. I don't like bringing up statistics in a school shooting but the probability of one is near zero and will never happen to 99.9999% of the kids in the USA. It's just highlighted because it gathers a lot of revenue for the media reporting on it. The benefits of an armed society far outweighs the negative. The amount of crimes that an armed population prevents far outweighs the acts of criminals.

I’m sorry but I just have to say this. This title is exactly what the perpetrator would want. His name in every title, all over the media, just being thrown in when it doesn’t need to. Share the survivors names, the victims, or just say Parkland. The way his name was thrown in was so unnecessary and clearly just used for clicks.

There's a number of reasons. He was an incel, a racist, and he felt like no one noticed him. I think he really felt disliked by girls and I think that's why he picked Valentines day. He lost both parents as well. It's no excuse though. I've lost my brother, both parents, and all of my grandparents. I would never do anything like this. He's certainly mentally unwell. I wouldn't say crazy but anyone capable of doing something like this is mentally unwell. However, it isn't excusable. The internet has websites that radicalize and encourage these young men to carry out these deeds. 4chan (now 8kun) is a huge problem for this. Incels go in droves over there talking about the violence and pain they'd like to inflict on people, mainly women. Bianca Devins was murdered by an incel who then uploaded the photo of her nearly decapitated head to social media. I was investigating 4chan right when this happened. The incels went crazy over it. They posted it all over 4chan, mocking her and saying she deserved it. They thought of her killer as a hero. The worst I saw was a post from a guy who printed that picture out, masturbated over it, ejaculated on it, took a picture of that and sent the picture to her mother on Facebook. He was on 4chan bragging about it and other incels were giving him a pat on the back for it. While I was researching 4chan, I also learned how many mass shooters are radicalized on there. You should research how many of these shooters also frequented 4chan. It's alarming. As I said before, it's now called 8kun and it is only accessible via the dark web. It's very easy to learn how to do that. These kids today have no issue doing so, I didn't while I've researched. We have a seriously sick society and these young men are very disturbed. They feel forgotten and invisible. They see other shooters plastered all over the news and on social media and they think if they're the next mass shooter, everyone will remember them. In their eyes, they're getting both vengeance and notoriety. If these guys didn't get as much attention as they do from these mass murders, there would be less of them. They want people to pay for not seeing them or for not being what they consider nice to them. They're usually outcasts and suffer with self esteem issues. They have no one to talk to about these things, they go online and get radicalized by other mentally unwell outcasts. It's a huge problem
