Holly crap u are a legend I’ve spent so much money trying to fix this problem because I couldn’t find a video showing what the problem was until now and it fixed it thank the lord it was bugging me
@@FarmDad I did change the steering shaft but the squeezing noise still there when I slowly turn the wheel. I have bought the steering column bearing last fall but too busy no time to install. I will let you know what happen after I replace the bearing😁
@@g7bill do you have an update? I have a squeak when turning the steering wheel and slight clunk when turning the wheels on bumpy parking lots/dirt roads
I had the same problem on a 2001 GMC Sierra 1500, I did change out both the shaft and the bearing, however the squeaking persisted. I’ll try this tip in the video, but the sound might be coming from up high near the dash.
There's a TSB #06-02-35-003c on this. But this is a quicker "fix" .
Good to know.
That tsb is it for all gm cars i have acadia and i get same thing
What is the TSB #06-02-35-003c? My 2015 is making the same sounds

I have an 05’ Sierra Denali with 105k on it. Same problem, it’s annoying. Gonna give this a shot!🤞
Just got a 2012 Escalade with the same weird sound, can’t wait to try this fix
It's definitely annoying 🤣
Its the little annoying things that NEED to be fixed 😆
You’re a legend! Been trying to track down a diagnosis on this sound for at least a year!
I appreciate that! Plan to squirt it about once a year with lubricant.
Nice work Dad !
Thank u. Worked like a charm. Appreciate the video.
Glad it helped. You should be good for at least another year before you need to spray it again.
Super helpful video, this video helped me fix my problem. Thank you very much. You got a new subscriber that’s for sure.
Glad to hear it helped! Thank you!!
I’m back to squeaking after just two days, am I not shooting it deep enough?
That's my guess. It normally lasts about a year or more for me.
@@FarmDad okay I’ll reapply then it has to be me. Thanks.
Try sticking your shaft in deeper then spray your load….. of grease problem solved
Great advice. Thank you. I see your “service trailer brake system” warning is on. Did you figure out how to fix that?
The trailer brake controller was unplugged so that I could remove the plastic kick panel to fit my camera in there better.
Worked on my 1999 k2500 aswell, thanksss
Cool. I like those trucks a lot.
Thanks man🤙🏼
Same issue. Didn’t fix mine tho. Still does it.
Check out the tsb in the pinned comment
Spray it with wd40 ? Or what?
That'll work. I like lithium grease or similar.
You need to change the intermediate steering shaft or bearing
Agreed, but it's sooooo much easier to do this once a year.
