- Hello guys, this is my little impressions video of the Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro 300 in the 40mm case size. Please see my other video where I look at the 38mm version so you can compare. I really like the sizing of this watch on my 6.25” wrist! If you’re on the fence with this watch… just grab one! :)

I have a few watches for sale on Ebay most of the time. My username is Mobster5
You have just a right size wrist for your Sinn 556. It fits just fine. This beautiful Christopher Ward Trident Pro 300 40 mm actually does as well.
Thank you 🙏
Word of warning to anyone sleeping on getting a CW watch - I received an email from them today (12th March 2023) they will be shortly increasing all prices very soon. Get those orders in before the price rise!
Thanks Mark..
May you have an idea how high they get the Price ??
Maybe in % ..??
Best Wishes from Germany
The email just said prices would increase from 3rd April. No prices or percentages mentioned.
@@ChrisM752 ..
Thx Chris ..
Well i think they increase the Base by at least 20%
But , in the same time
more than 20% does not fit the company Philosophy
in my opinion..!!
Hamilton recently put up their watches by €50. Well the ones I was looking at anyway, round the €1000 mark.
Thanks for the comment 🙏👍
Alan, you are a wizard at making these watch reviews. So much better than the popular watch review youtubers. Keep it going! The strap shots at the end with music were a great touch 👌
Wow thank you mate! Much appreciated 🙏👍
@@Time_and_time_again Do you know if the new Consort bracelet fit with the trident pro 300 40mm
@@Time_and_time_again What polishing do you use for your watch that looks shiny
@@Time_and_time_again The size of the clasp is shorter now
Nice German piece. Love the CW too!
Yes love the sinn! 🙏👍
Tried the 38mm size after watching you previous vid, but sent it back for the 40mm version. Have a 6.75" wrist. I really like the larger dial, feels like I got more watch and can see it better too. The Trident is a pleasure to wear.
Good stuff. Yes I think 40mm would be better for your size wrist 🙏👍
@@Time_and_time_againWhat about 7inch wrist? 42mm better option?
@@aabbbaaa7769 it’s definitely a personal preference but I d imagine the 40 or 42 would be great. I’d personally choose the 40mm I think, if I had your size wrist 👍
No Sinn's in my collection, but that one you are wearing is superb. Oh dear...😊
I know that “oh dear” feeling very well! 😊👍
Really enjoyed this vid Allan as you know. I’ve decided to pull the trigger on a black 40mm. Only very slight gripe I have with this watch as I see others have mentioned is the slimmer bezel over the 600. Prefer the thicker less fussy bezel on the 600 tbh so am debating whether to go for that model instead. Have you ever seen the 600 in person?
Thanks Justin. I have never seen the 600 in person sadly. I hadn’t thought about the skimmer bezel until others mentioned and now I can see it myself I think a slightly thicker bezel would be better. It’s not a deal breaker though. Hope that helps 😊👍
@@Time_and_time_again Yeah I agree, this really would be the perfect watch with a slightly thicker bezel. Not sure why they changed that.. There are however many other improvements which is good including I think a slightly upgraded version of the Selita movement which should keep better time?
Hello. What size is your wrist? And which watch size fits best on your hand? 38 or 40mm?
Hi, 6” and 38mm 👍
Just put some tape around the tips of calipers. Love this watch. 38 is definitely too small for me so I’m trying to decide between 42 and 40. I love how my Hamilton Cooper wears and it’s 42. I imagine the CW will wear smaller because of the bezel but my Lorier Neptune at 39 wears great. Lol 🤦♂️
Good idea thanks 👍 yeah the numbers don’t always reflect how a watch wears!
Gresr review as always . I'm really torn between this and the 38mm . I have a 6 and a half inch wrist , what would you advice ?
I'm in the same boat (6.7 in /17cm wrist). I've found another YTer's video ("Watching Chris") on the 40mm version who claims to have a 6.75in wrist - and the watch looks fine on him. Still: The actual L2L (thanks to those male end-links) still sounds a bit scary to me (~51mm IIRC), so I wouldn't be surprised if I'd have to send the 40mm back if I decided to go with that size. :)
Wish the bezel was a bit thicker. But overall a really nice watch
Yeah you Right..
May the Bezel of the C60 Pro 600 on the 300 was quite perfect ..!!
Isn't..??
Yes that would be nice 👍
The inner steel marker is a nice touch but does make the rotating bezel slimmer. Personally I think it looks the biz.
Probably a silly question but did you buy the watch and then flip it soon after? If so was it purely for the review?
You actually do very good comprehensive reviews so thanks
Hi Dave, not a silly question. I did buy it to do a review and have a little play yes! I’m hoping that as the channel grows I will get people offering to loan me them so I don’t have to keep buying 😊👍
Hey Alan! Thank you for your videos and reviews. I really enjoy your watch content, especially those featuring Sinn, Tudor, and Christopher Ward (CW). I think we have similar tastes in watches. What do you think about the upcoming CW C60 Pro 300 Bronze? I really really like how it looks, but I'm unsure if it would work well as an office/daily watch (no bracelet option and bronze). I'm a developer, so I mostly wear t-shirts and jeans. Maybe the CW C60 Trident Pro 300 in black is a wiser choice? I'm also considering the Sinn 556i, but my wrist measures 19 cm (7.48 inches), and I'm not sure if it would fit comfortably.
So sorry for the delay (I’d taken a break) thanks for your kind words. I’m not a fan of the bronze but that’s only because I like my watches to be versatile (strap changes etc) love the 556i and I’d think it would look great on your wrist. Haven’t my had some time to reflect I think you can’t go wrong with the black trident! 🙏👍
Great vid mate.
Love the shots of the different straps the orange especially looked great.
Where you get them straps from if you don’t mind me asking?
Thanks mate. Yes here’s the link… Premium Quality Sporty Silicone... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07YLFNJMH?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
All those straps are from Amazon by the way 👍
I haven't watched the whole video so apologies if you covered this but do prefer the 40 or the 38?
I prefer the 40mm mate as I prefer the bigger dial 👍
Did you end up keeping the 40 or 38? Thank you. I have a 6.5” wrist and am stuck in between.
Hi mate love your videos. Now you have had several watches and handled them etc which one would you keep if you could only choose one? Cheers
Thanks mate! I’m currently wearing the black bay 54 and I would have to say that it’s my all round favourite so far! Feels like it was made to fit my 6.25” wrist 🙏👍
Alan. Great reviews. What's putting me off buying a new CW is that there are markings on the minute and hour hand. Makes for a poor finish. For the money you pay, I expect this to be clean. Not worth a grand or whatever this is going for.
Thank you 🙏 Do you mean you’ve spotted imperfections on this particular watch in the video? 👍
@@Time_and_time_again Not this video Alan. You are flawless as always mate. But there were other videos that highlighted this flaw. It's a finish thing on the hour and minute hands and not one that's evident in a Tudor or Raymond Weil or a Longines for eg.
I raised this with CW, and they reverted saying well we have a great warranty period. Not convinced.
@@MashetEisalive thank you mate, not sure about flawless though haha. Ahhh, I see. Was just thinking I hadn’t spotted anything but never really looked that closely. I’ve actually got another 38mm version coming today so I’ll have a good look at it this time! Thank you 🙏👍
Hola! Que tamaño tiene el dial???
Hmm it looks so similar to GS gmt!!
Do christopher wards hold value or not ?
I’d say they hold pretty well. Probably 2 thirds of the retail price I’d guess at (depending on models) the pro 300 goes for around 700 on the second hand market from what I can see 👍
I love my Sealander but can't wear it on the bracelet as I don't like the clasp
Think it’s the same clasp on this. It’s a bit big isn’t it!
Agreed. Black leather or synthetic looks better imo.
Was there any back play and wobble on the bezel? Mine does have play in the bezel and wondering if this is normal. Thanks
Hi Chris, I don’t remember noticing anything untoward with it. I think a little would be expected but anything more would be unusual 👍
I’ve experienced the same wobble with mine. Did you end up reaching out to CW about the issue?
@@levihanson483 yes, they told me this was normal as there needs to be a gap for expansion in warmer weather. It’s a great watch and I still have it but I’m surprised no reviewer ever mentions it. I didn’t expect so much back play on a watch at this price point when I’ve had AliExpress watches at £100 with zero back play. Saying that it’s still one of my favourite watches as the case and finishing are above anything else at that price point that I’ve had.
Where u got them straps plz
All from Amazon my friend 😊👍
Mr B is a very lucky man B-)
Indeed 😊👍
Having watched your 38mm Trident videos, I have to say the 40 looks too large on you (for my taste). 38mm seems perfectly sized for your wrist. Then again: These are impressions based on videos... I might see it differently "in the flesh". :)
Thanks mate. I would say I agree! Having looked back myself and also picking up a 38mm trident gmt I realised it’s the perfect size 👍
16:29 what is lame shot?
Typo! Haha 👍
