    Awesome review, very well done, thumbs up given! One alteration of info. I own multiple copies of both the C60 and the Aquataine, and the red accent on the Aquatain's crown DOES NOT give an accurate indication of the crown being screwed down or unscrewed, as it is still visible when screwed all the way in. It's a great idea and feature (I've seen in use on a number of other dive watches) but in this case it's a missed opportunity by CW on their Aquataines.

    I have budget for Tudor, Omega, and Rolex. Let me tell you why I’m considering this watch instead. The size. The Rolex subs are chunky and heavy, the Omega SMP300 is too big and thick, and the midsize is too small as well as the terrible action and feel of the scalloped bezel, and non tapering bracelet. The Tudor bb58 is a strong contender but the WR is less, no crime guards, no on the fly micro adjustment, the Tudor is more about form over function.

    If they made this in a stainless steel bezel and white/black dial/textured dials, that would be a dream come true. I know they already have the ones close to what im talking about but I hate the gradient dials.

  • @seayak

    Great to see a real world test of this handsome and well-built watch in its intended environment. Is there a reason you were using the bracelet instead of a rubber strap? CW has some great rubber and rubber hybrid straps, that can be easily interchanged with the bracelet using their quick-detach system. That is what I do with mine for various watersports, including swimming, snorkeling and kayaking.

    • @frankaffronti5509
      @frankaffronti5509 Год назад +1

      Couple reasons here, this was the first time I was able to get a review CW from them ON bracelet so I opted for the bracelet instead of one of their straps. Secondly, I wanted to check out their clasp extension and see if it was up to the task of actual diving use. Lastly, bracelets with a properly fitting end link are the securest method to keeping your watch on your wrist. Spring bar failures happen a lot more often than people think, especially when you are mixing in salt water; I am including NATO straps when I say a bracelet is the most secure

    • @hyper_channel
      @hyper_channel 11 месяцев назад

      @@zsuira yes usually that's the case.
      Based on wrist I could wear the 42, the main issue is that if you check reviews and so on, the watch actually looks quite different 40 vs 42, the shape of the case is clearly more bulky in the 42, so there's more to it than just the diameter when it comes to this specific watch

    I heard people talking about the slim metal trim between the bezel and the sapphire crystal. Is it really easy to bump, dent, and stratch?

    • @frankaffronti5509
      @frankaffronti5509 Год назад

      It is polished so you will find that if you ding it or nick it, the slim piece of metal will scratch. That being said, it is a very small section of the watch and I found that it hardly impactly the watch visually after my trip. For reference, all the shots of the watch in the beginning of the video where it's just of the watch were shot after the trip

    • @seayak
      @seayak Год назад +1

      The ring is not really exposed to bumps and scratches - it sits in a low spot at the inflection point between the flange of the sapphire crystal and the ceramic bezel - both of which are very hard material,. So it is hard to imagine how it could be dented or damaged, unless it really took enough of a hit to damage the crystal or the bezel, or both. This is true of both my C60 Pro 300 and my C60 #tide, which share this new bezel design.

    • @seayak
      @seayak Год назад +1

      and another comment is that the finish is brushed, not polished, on the current version of this watch.

    • @WatchClicker
      @WatchClicker  Год назад +1

      In addition to Frank's comment, that piece is brushed on the production models (most of the review samples were polished), so it shouldn't be too much of an issue even if it gets bumped around a little
