As a Supra owner, I DD mine since new. It’s performance and power is more than enough on the street and venerable on the track. It’s build quality is better than the gr86. There is less NVH for sure but don’t expect it to be a lexus soft. It’s very sporty.
I've seen people go from 86 to supra and some go from supra to 86. In the end it really comes down to what you're looking for in a car.
@@touayaaj84I agree with this as I’ve been DD mine for about 2 years now. In short, car is a lot of fun, car is very potent when it comes to modifications if you’d like that. They also just feel really special since you hardly see them on the road and the attention can be overwhelming at times.
@@Zykeil Majority of twin owners either go force induction or get a car with more power; there are very few who keep it stock. I haven’t met a single person who went from a Supra to a twin. 🤷♂️
@@touayaaj84 I've heard of a few people who made the change from Supra to the twins, but let's be for real, it was probably financial issues with the Supra 😂
to bad they don't put the s58 engine in this and the z4
I’m new to cars what’s with all the hate I see with this car?
Well, the Mark IV Supra is legendary. Purely Toyota.
This Mark V Supra is basically a redesigned BMW Z4 in a LOT of places including the engine, but not all places. It even uses BMW’s seatbelt chime.
People like to call it the “Zupra” or “BMW Supra” as a result. It’s even made at the Magna Steyr plant in Graz, Austria.
I want one so bad with a manual but I’m not paying 60-65k for Supra that comes with 382hp
Understandable, you’re basically paying the price of a mortgage in monthly payments just to drive in something cool. I’ll probably just wait like 10 years to when it depreciates to 20k
@@davesenatus5566 I remember people saying that about the mk4 supra. good luck on that wait bud.
Well, it actually has 380rwhp which equates to roughly 450 crank hp. This car also can be easily tuned to 500rwhp for a few hundred dollars. Not a bad value.
I came from a GR86 MT, but I can upshift the Supra smoother
I love this car
My dream car. Unfortunately I will never be able to afford one with inflation and wage stagnation of the middle class. ☹️
I’d love to see you review a Supra with some modifications. That’s when this car really gonna shine
Doesn’t Toyota share your driving info with insurance company?
There was a GR Corolla that burst into flames 1 yr after purchase, and the insurance com refused to compensate as the driver drove it above 140km😂
If you actually read your limited warranty and insurance agreement, they could deny you coverage when the car has been beaten out its covered coverage . It is not rocket science. It has been that way.
Best car
What? Is this the street where all the famous automotive RUclipsrs hang around?
It's basically a parking lot and then a highway lol. So glad I don't live on the Eastern side of the US.
@@username8644we’re glad too.
@@Localtraveler2376 Lol stay mad that you live in a giant shopping mall.
@@username8644 not really dude. You have no idea what you’re talking about. Learn some geography.
@@Localtraveler2376 Look up USA population density map Mr. Geography expert🤣
Sounds great...
All 900 came manual?
No half are AT
@@jbrown513 LOL
I hear the turn signal more than the pops and bangs.
Dude how much do you make a year?
Would you pick this or an m240i if you don’t need the back seats ?
This since it’s manual
@@alfarooqaljanabi1965 M240i is kind of boring. The only case for it is if you need the awd.
M240i is absolutely not boring and has usable rear seats. It's a more practical car, for sure.
@karacha definitely not a sportscar car. Especially with that weight. Somewhat sporty sedan at best.
@@milesfathi I can agree with that. But it's an excellent car that is more practical and it's not boring. Ultimately, it's about what you really need. Don't care about practicality and want a manual -- go with this. Otherwise, get a BMW. I mean... the OTHER BMW. :)
What's on the wrist? Tried to figure it out but couldn't really see the dial.
Omega speedmaster
Nice was really looking at this, $67k what a steal. I’m cheap, so no go on purchase. Hope you save it 40 years. It might be worth something or nutin. War world 3 this car useless though.
That's red.
I just wish they would put the motor in any other car, I hate the body lines of this generation
This or type R more HP in supra …
GR Supra or deposit for a house? Help me choose fellas.
I’d say a house since that’ll go up in price overtime.
But then again, these cars are hard to get since they hardly make them. So who knows what the prices will be like once production stops.
The logical answer would be the house but the better answer would be which would bring you more happiness and joy to your life
Already choose the house but it's gonna be a struggle from now on to save for a Supra. Just gotta work harder.
@@iamyu7931 Keep up the grind king. 👑
It's aight
If you want :O, get a supra
if you want :), get a gr86
Exactly
66k is insane for this. Just get an actual BMW.
m3 is around 70k base
Supra mas bien BM ❤❤❤
Does anyone else find the steering wheel to be UGLY?
Yes. The GR Corolla steering wheel is so much better looking
oh thats hot
Like me
Nice bmw
love the power it can produce but my god that interior is assssss
The fact that Toyota killed these off because of poor sales and the fact that there are rumors of them bringing back the Celica has me very worried.
Contract ending with magna steyr in 2026 for production. Sales poor bc they sold every one
This is the car they should have produced from day 1
That interior is very underwhelming but love the exterior
That interior is hideous. It looks like an economy car interior with a decent looking shifter. The dashboard should be driver-oriented similar to the 90s Supras and C7 Corvettes.
I’d like to know what econo shitbox you drive lol. Always the ones who can’t buy anything who complains the most.
I drive a beautiful 2016 Mustang that breaks necks. Some moms out there think it's a Ferrari (to be fair, both logos do have horses in them). Sure, it's not a Supra or GT or a 911, but I'd prefer my interior over that Supra's interior any day. It looks like a RAV4 in there or a late 2010s Mazda 3. It screams entry-level BMW, but BMW would have done it better. Even Mazda did it better. That steering wheel and center dash is lame and you know it.
What do you drive? That Supra? I'd be a little regretful, too, if I had to sit in there every day.
To be fair, the exterior is great. But I bet many car journalists would agree with me. The interior looks like it doesn't know what it wants to be, like a teenager going through awkward phases.
I take it back; even the new RAV4s have better interiors than that.
The steering wheel looks like it is from a Camry and the whole interior is just boring black plastic. This generation Supra has such a rubbish looking interior.
I test drove one with a tan interior and the added color made the interior feel and look much better imo. I wished they brought some of the exterior color into the mix like Mazda does with the current MX-5.
Nice BMW
66k before rape markup
Dealers near me were charging 75k-79k OTD. Ridiculous imo
It will kill the Supra. Markups.
@@faheemabbas3965 dealers near me are now starting to offer msrp-ish, maybe 1-2K over. I miss the days when you could actually get one at a discount and a used one with 1k miles was less than $50k (true story near me).
If you are even moderately patient you can get one for MSRP. I did.
Interior looks like trash forreal
That steering wheel is disgusting.
I have a 69 bronco if you want to see it
looks red lmao
Doesnt sound good!
interior looks cheap
It's still not a Supra.....
For years I hated this car since it's not a real Supra, but I found out how much I love it and bought one.
BMW. Enough said,
When will it be discontinued? the lamborghini STO 🥲😭
Z4 End of Production is March 2026. I'd assume Supra's will end at the same time.
2025-2026.
Only 100 2025 models are allocated to the U.S currently, so get one while you can if you’re interested.
The only bad thing about this car? The glued on iPad. Manufacturers need to STOP this BS. Its tacky and ages worse than cheese.
I find this style is way better looking than some newer cars like the current Mustang.
Good luck finding a newer car because everybody is doing it
@@asclepj Don't need luck if you're not interested in buying a newer car :)
