Thanks for Watching Ironclad Rc Tinker test and tune everything rc
Personal contact information ironcladedout@gmail.com
I would love to watch a winterizing video since this is my first year. Thanks big b
Roger that will do
Was considering doing this for a while now..
Thank you B for doing this (firma 160A on 8s in the sonicwake)
Great Job B!!!
Nice video B!
Do you plan on putting the TFL stinger on this one?
Hi, liked your video. I have a ques - this boat has a Self Rightning feature. So why it didn't work when it flipped ?
That was interesting that heavier boat jumps more. Probalbly not going to run a lot anymore this season. Temps are getting low (last night near freezing), no boat to retrieve it or a flud chamber... So maybe when winddirection is right and sunny weather. Still need to test one time (tried multiple shapes ridepads) before painting...
Great Video Big B!!! I think the takeaway from this is a lesson you’ve taught us before, lighter boats go faster 👍
I’ve never owned an rc boat that is self righteous 😂 righting I mean 🤣 but from what I’ve seen it looks like, on racing boats, the flood chamber exit hole is cut out to the hulls edges so the water exits quicker for faster recovery, although that might weaken the transom. Just food for thought. BGFL
Ur right about the waves. That dint look too bad, I'm normally in 6in to a foot waves. Boat Gang
I have a V1 and i did the 2000kv 3682 from the Impulse 32 with the 160 firma. Its a nice setup but no room for the esc. And im having a hell of a time for self righting. And thats why i bought this boat. Im thinking on going back to a small esc and keeping mine 6s. Its such a heavy boat too. Taxes on the electrical
Made it to Florida in time to purchase another Sonicwake V1 for $100. That makes my 3rd one, this boat was only run a few times so it is almost new. A few years ago our park had a splurge of boat newbies buying the same boat. There is another newer boat yet to be sold I think. I believe a Sonicwake would make a great retrieval boat.
I just scored a 40in and I want to put two motors in it but I can't find anything that goes from two into one
Do u think flycolor 150 and 4074 2250 be a good set up in that ?
2250kv is to high in my opinion
Funny you should mention lake Michigan I plan on putting my sonicwake in all five Great lakes
Can I run these on my stock v2 ? Or what would you recommend on stock electronics. Would appreciate the feedback love your videos !
The 8800 hcl-hc 11.1v pack would be a better choice, longer Run time than the 5500 hclhc. www.smc-racing.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=771
You have to use a adapter for the ic5 to ic3 ? For those ?
You can get your choice of connection soldered on at smc racing.
Can you send a link for what smc battery for a single battery you would recommend for a stock pro boat v2 ? Thanks 🙏🏼
These are great all around packs

Ya ran it till the other day hit the dock smashing nose a bit almost as bad as yer buddy sonicwake so have to fix it
Those dang dynamite gps not a fan. I stop using mine. I went to the powerhobby gnss. Don’t know how it would be in the boats though. There Bluetooth so you could get the readouts on your phone.
That's what I use and it works awesome.
Use the skyec branded one, works great. I did buy a rubber usb plug to make it a tad more resistant to ruining it if water splashes on it
@@RocketPunchArmy same thing just different brand
Been crappy on the weekends latly ran the monster truck a lul maybe ill get on the water next week one day. Peace
How many amps is that ESC?
160a
I have a firma 160 coming should I add a cap pack or a flopack or both I plan on mounting it on the flood chamber, but was thinking moving in a little more towards the back since it seems like it likes the batteries pulled back a little bit.
I added a atomic pac to my 160. It helped they befits in lots of ways. Takes a load off the ones on the main board and smooths out ripple voltage drop.
I have a box of burnt out spectrum esc’s they need all the help they can get. Thanks.
@@Motorboatinsonbitch what's a good pick for a esc that you use?
What’s your favorite prop on 8s for SW? This weekend will be our groups last event for the year as it’s late fall and cold here in the Midwest. Hopefully I get to try out my new boat build if it’s not to windy.
Motley Crew is rebuilt after dropping the flex shaft and prop in the pond 🤨. BJ24 needs some exercise and I haven’t run the arrow in over a year. So, time to enjoy the cooler weather. Looking for a new spot.
When you move the 160 to the flood chamber wall, I’m assuming you move the receiver box to the 120 spot
Probably just Ballon the receiver
@@IRONCLADRC you’re right, good tip I think the box was holding moisture in
I’m a little confused just hit 60 with stock stock electronics only have 4519 prop and a 6000 50c 6s I didn’t think it would break 50 with that battery
Weather can't go but so fast in rough water
I’m talking about my boat. I hit 60 with a 50 CZ pack I’m wondering if anything over 100 C is overkill.
Did they ever catch the Pirates who stole half of the tugboat
I found some good double sided tape It’s called alien tape I got it at Dollar General. I think it’s better than the 3M.
Will that 7600 pack fit in the recoil
No sir, it's to big.
@@IRONCLADRCyou talk a a dehumidifier for drying them out. What do you use? I'm interested lol
Basically, it's just my in-house dehumidifier that blows dry air out the top of the unit. I Basically sit my boat on the dehumidifier upside down and it's literally dry in minutes
@IRONCLADRC nice. that's what I figured. That's a great idea. I thought about a small one and a big tub to put them in with it. But if it just works by setting on top then that sounds way easier lol.
