Congrats on the PB - 72 is extremely impressive with 6S! Watching you push these boats to the limit is awesome and it never gets old, but it's your personality that makes your channel so great Big B. You can run sail boats and I would still find your content entertaining. Peace brotha!
Hallo. Ironclad. RC. This Sonic Wake. Pro .v 2. I'm going to buy,on . PS,is I alright A's it comes. In box . But the New SR 80 pro. I no , that sonic weak v 2 is ,a lot better than sr80 pro. Jo go on , with the show. Ironclad rc.
She's running nice and stable. You are getting the same speeds I am with the tabs and 50 1.6 prop. Now it's time for the fine tuning. Thanks for sharing with all of us out there. I know you have saved me a lot of guessing, trial and error. Know that your channel is appreciated and entertaining.
72 mph way to go brother !!!! I love the speed runs , hell I love all of it and you have helped me out with my boats and I am great ful for all the teaching, bg4l!!!!
Knowing how you like to push things to the limit, I would recommend running the new cap pack in parallel with the existing cap pack (or just replace the existing cap pack). My reasoning for this is adding more connectors to your power transmission wires just adds that much more resistance where you don't want or need it.
Holy shit! Congrats Big B On the 6s 72mph swv2!! I feel like thats best in its class brother! I wanted to add a tip to make your life easier, I flipped the velcro straps around in the v2 so I can strap the 6s battery in, but easier access to release them. Might help save you some time. It's kinda hard to weave them back the other direction but it's worth it! Boat gang baby!!
I appreciate the video and that you are trying to help out us that don't know as much. I just purchased my first true hobby grade boat and I'm excited to learn what I can do to it.
Awesome job brother! Love the new pb on the sonic wake. I’m chasing that number. I had ordered the OSE raider 150 but it was a bad esc. So I threw in a Spektrum Firma 160 esc that I’ll test today so hopefully all goes well.
Congrats man seeing the BJ42 flying at 71!! And the SWV2 at 72…and YES all on 6S. The cap pack mod is going to be epic!!! Cant wait to see how/ what you do!
Classic IRONCLAD RC video!!! and great commentary. All I can say is sharpen that rudder to ginseng knife blade and nickname that boat “The Chum Maker” 🤣 Well I can say more… that spin out was cool and even better in slow motion, happened because your 42 BJ is a straight line monster. Big B you certainly have a way with gleaning mph out of lower cell counts, bet my paycheck you could get it over 100mph. keep it up! BG4L.
Clad ... That was an awesome 360 on the water definitely some smoke on the water very cool slow-mo keep it up sound not a problem complainers must be whiners.... They got to remember it's a RUclips video not at THX movie at the theater.... In the words of Joey Biden....CA MON MAN
Congrats man seeing the BJ42 flying at 71!! And the SWV2 at 72…and YES all on 6S. The cap pack mod is going to be epic!!! Cant wait to see how / what you do! from what ive done on the drone builds…trying to get the cap pack connection as close to where the wires join the ESC will be best.
You could chop up some of that carbon fiber Kevlar weave or even just the carbon and a tiny little bits added to your chop strand for extra stability and support
Can’t believe I’m just finding your channel bro boats are my second passion lol & damn you really got some clean runs in hands down! I built a dumas airboat like 30yrs ago & I barely ever run it but I really want to start a hydroplane or tunnel hull I know there’s kits out there for the hydroplane’s & tons of vids so should start there idk 🤷♂️ any suggestions how did you make the smaller boats early on in the vid I’ll checkout your page & see from there👍great vid!!
Want to know esc motor option you think is best for highest speed on 6s? Having electrical issue now. I thought I'd replace esc first. Hopefully, it's not motor 😢
Took a good look at the V2 today. The left trim tab was around 1/4" lower then the right side. Used a ruler to level it out. Boats going straight as an arrow . Left turn is great now. made a few speed runs wondering if you could take a look at my ESC
You need to upgrade the esc to the 160 spectrum firma in order to run 8s.. 8s in the v2 sonic wake its basically for speed runs with the stock 2000kv motor, short pass check speed then do it again type deal. If you run 8s doing ovals the prop size needs to be small so it doesn't over heat the motor.. check Temps regularly
Dude you're doing great I watch all your videos it's a shame I have five nice boats out in my garage I live in California a bummer going to be moving what state are you in maybe moving to Austin Texas should be plenty of lakes out that way.... But a real bummer to do absolutely anything in California....
It's the turn fin length if the rudder were longer like the v1 rudder you could make a better left turn. The rudder comes out the water in a left turn reducing steering. Mine does it too
Big B I love your channel and boy I can't wait for the new castle hydra xlx2 but what do you think about making the bj42 a twin setup or I got tp cm4070 2900kv out of my arrma limitless but with that super high kv what prop should I try. I also have a castle 1717 1650kv or castle 2028 1100kv for either the bj42 or sonicwake v2 I just have those motors sitting around and I'm definitely ordering that ose 150esc for the sonicwake and I just got a 50mm 1.6 three blade and love it
24" Pro Boat Wire melted I have the same set up as you do separate water lines to ESC & Motor changed the water line pickup with a deeper line with the Rutter almost even Any more suggestions ????
Im about to buy a Sonicwake v2, do you have any basic setup tips for the V2 out of the box for a bashing/fun boat? It will be out on a lake with some smaller waves at times. Trim tab, turn fins, prop shaft, rudder geometry changes to the out of the box setup? I'm not going for top speed but rather more runtime, (hopefully 8 minutes or so?). Hoping for something reliable that will give me more runtime than stock. I was thinking a less aggressive pitch prop, maybe a 4516 or so. What's the largest 6s battery you'd recommend without destroying the handling?
Out the box I'd go up on both trim tabs about 2 full turns. I had to pull the trim tab off the boat and slightly bend the tab up so the set screw contacts the tab I'm it's up position, other than that start with your cog forward, if it doesn't blow over move cog back a little bit.
Hallo Ironclad Rc. I really like your videos,it is so cool brother 😎. Not other i No off. Show us, that much. I my self,i lern everytime. Thanks 👍. Her for Danmark.mvh Rene' Pedersen.🎉😮
hey man! I love your channel! I'm a disabled Vet and recently I have gotten into Rc everything and I've 3D printed a speed boat. I got a 4074 2000kv motor with a 150A water-cooled esc. I need help finishing this up. I want to fiberglass the entire boat bc by itself will not handle what I'm going to do to it. I need help from you so I can be successful.
@Mya-2022 you'll need to do the measurements, here's a good selection from OSE www.offshoreelectrics.com/products.php?cat=Motor+Mounts&PARTNER=ironclad
@@IRONCLADRC sorry I just saw your messages. I have come to find just using epoxy is much easier but it is gonna look cool!! I'm persistent and I wont give up until its done right. Thank you for spending so much time teaching us what to do and saving us tons of countless hours!! I appreciate you
I personally would add bullets to the main leads...those little wires are most likely soldered to the board with the main leads...that 16g wire would act as a bottleneck for what you want caps for
Love RC boats but unless you have a large V hull and are jumping wakes from real boats under power, they are pretty much boring just going back and forth waiting for it to flip.

I don’t think anyone’s tired of seeing speed runs, I do the same thing every time I go! To the water!
True, mate.

Yea man I'm gonna definitely keep the stock external pack on the v2 150 raider
Can I run a 22.2 V battery out of my sonic white right out of the box
Love your videos! Question: can you run 8S batteries in a stock Sonicwake? I heard it would burn up your esc or motor.

Will a Spektrum 4685 4 pole Brushless Marine Motor 1350Kv fit in sonic wake 36 v2
With major modifications it might fit?
What motor would you recommend to to to run 8s or more on my sonic wake 36 v2

changed the water line pickup with a deeper line with the Rutter almost even

9500 mah but I'd stick in the 6500-7600mah range lighter weight and more agile
Nice 👍
Nice runs man, did you bother blue printing the the Sonicwake hull or leave it stock.
Stock
Thanks big b bad ass
What body of water are you running in
New river, but I'm up stream in the north east creek
What esc are you using in the Sonicwake? Mine burned up.
Ose raider 150a

What do you think about them cnhl batteries?
I like them, there great for speed runs, not to great for ovals or bashing but perfect for speed runs
hello sir..what model remote you use
I very been using a dx5 rugged & I love it
Can you mount two motors/props?
It would be very involved but I suppose so.
