I keep thinking of the M1 Carbine. With the stock ammo pouch, you had 45 rounds on the gun...and it was a short, light gun. Not as fancy nor as flossy as the ARs, but an outstanding piece of kit for 1944.
Put a light on the gun and you have a handstop that the ATF can not legally bitch about. I like the position of the sling also. Also keeps you fingers away from the flash hider and muzzle of the gun.
I am not going to travel as much as I once did. I have one class in Georgia this September. Next year, maybe two on that side of the country. If you have a place to train, let me know
Phoenix up to Scottsdale is a nice place. Foss range between Buckeye and Gila Bend is a great facility. Don't know where Mr Suarez prefers. I live South of Atlanta and will one day take my Family to the area on vacation and a class. I drive through there every week for work. Was considering the area for retirement or near Oxford Alabama and the CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park. That is one of the best facilities East of the Mississippi if not North America.

Nothing wrong with an M1...but its not 1944

Why download the mag by 2? Should we do the same with our handgun mags?
It is an issue specific with the AR-15. Difficult to insert a 30 round magazine with bolt closed.

Is your sidearm the P-01 and is that a qls attachment?
In this video its a Glock. I do not have a drop leg holster for my CZs.
