I have sold a few.
I'm 70 years old.
I'll never sell anything again.
Safe queens are going to stay home until I die.
I regret every one I've sold!
Never sold one from my collection. Never will. I've gifted 1 or 2 over the years...no strings attached. Special circumstances/needs by the recipient. Never regretted that. I even had one find it's way back to me, with thanks, after 3 decades. But sell, he'll no. I intend to pass the tools of freedom to my grandchildren.
@@lightweight1974 May God bless you
Only gun I ever regretted selling was a 410 Stainless H&R Tammer shotgun. It was the first firearm I ever purchased at 18 years old. By the time I was 25, I never shot it, and wanted more tacticool firearms. Sold it. When I got home, I instantly regretted it. 8 years later I was scanning some local listings and found a 410 stainless tammer near me. When I got there, it was the same guy I sold it to, with the same ammo case, same rifle bag, and same shotgun. It had the exact mark on the stock from where it fell off my quad one day. I got it back!!!! It now gets taken out once or twice a year. I’ve even let my neighbors kids shoot it.
I have never sold a gun, the only guns that I have gotten rid of were gifts to my son. He is one lucky dude 😊
You are a dad
I'm up for adoption.....Dad
Only ever sold 1. Back in 91. Stainless Super Blackhawk. 44 mag was 17 dollars a box back then 9mm was 5. Traded for a Glock 17. Still regret it.
I regret selling my Smith and Wesson 686-1 6in and my Marlin 444 JM stamp and my Remington 870 Special field all great guns and really expensive now.. 😢😢😢
I miss my Makarov and my CZ P07.
Love my 40s too Dan. 2 guns I regret selling are my S&W 66 from the 80s and a ruger m77 in 308. Miss em big time.
1980 Colt Python 4" Stainless. We won't talk about what I sold it for. Thanks Dan!
Oh man, bummer
I still have my 6" King Cobra.
2 come to my mind 1. A Colt jr. 25acp my backup which I carried in my back pocket. Sold it in 1975 and still miss. It looked brand new and had the Gold Prancing Ponies on the checkered walnut grips.I sold for $75 but please remember my gross salary was only $460/mo 2. My full size Colt 1911 45. I got jammed up money wise and had to sell something quick.$700. I miss it every day. There are other ones but this is just too painful brother!
Had to sell after my Divorce from 1st wife she held me seeing kids she knew how much i loved my guns ...30 years later 2nd wife she is supportive of my gun collection I will never sell any of my guns ever again....NEVER!!
All great choices! I love 40 as well. Coach gun…Love the one you sold, and wish I had it.
Same here 😮
Ruger 77 in 220 swift with a Canjar trigger, I'm a dope.
The P30!!! That was a mistake! I got one at a great price in .40 and then bought a .357Sig RCM drop-in barrel for it! WOW!! What a shooter! I will never part with it!!
How do you like the RCM .357 Sig barrel? I just put one in my P30.
@@thomascozart1095 It's outstanding!!
Yay more .40 s&w fans! 👍 😊
@@glockensig Thanks for the feedback
Here's the vid to do
-- GUNS I REGRET
NOT BUYING FIRST
TIME I SAW... many
on that list but perhaps
most I later got by
2nd chance
I sold only one a Hi Point C9 which had stopped using. It worked I started buying Springfield and S&W was hooked.
I’ve sold/traded a number of firearms over the past eight years. Sold two out of necessity (had to relocate for a new job): Henry Golden Boy (my first gun) and an 1891 Argentine Mauser cavalry carbine (1892 year of production). Also sold an SKS, .357 Ruger SP 101, and S&W M&P Compact in .40 S&W bc I stopped shooting them and decided to trade them in for something new and different. Wish I hadn’t.
I hear ya man
I wish I wouldn't have sold my chiappa rhino 40ds
The Glock 41 had significant more felt recoil and muzzle flip than any other full size modern polymer 45 acp.
Hi Dan. The only gun I have ever sold and kind of wish I still had was a commander size Ruger 1911. All the other stuff I tried and sold off was because it wasn't for me. I am a fan of keeping what works well and fits your needs, not having a safe full of seldom used items.
Thanks dan!!
Most often I find something I really want and decide to sell a gun I don't shoot as much as I used to. Sometimes I regret it later and have to buy another to replace it at some time in the future. (5) I miss are .22 Marlin mod 39 lever action, .22 High Standard Citation Military Auto, .44 Mag S&W mod 629-2 6'' revolver, 45 Win Mag LAR Mark 1 Grisley auto, 50 A&E Desert Eagle auto and there are a few more
Love your content man! Real honest reviews about stuff you personally own and not how "awesome" whatever gun was just gifted to you by a company in trade for a favorable review.
Woohoo, comments are back. I'm a fan of 40 Smith & Wesson too, Dan.
Very cool man
Same!
I have a canik TP9 sf elite maybe 100 rds thru it, like new. 4 mags
Id sell it for $300. Im in michigan maybe an hour away!
My first handgun was a Ruger EC9S that I thought I would never sell because it was my firsthand gun. Well, I sold it with a few other of my guns to help pay for another one.
I absolutely miss a gun I had to sell during hard times - a LAR Grizzly Win Mag chambered for .45 magnum; an over-sized 1911-based pistol that shot well with a projectile that hit hard.
I’m shocked you sold the sharptail. I bought one after your review.
Are you happy with it?
Man i would be...im going on G.B. to look for one now😊@TheFireArmGuy
Ive hardly ever had Any gun i didnt regret selling lol.
Thanks Jeff
@Jeffroh Same. I have five actually that stand out. Savage 110 .25-06, Thompson Auto Ordnance USGI 1911A1 .45ACP, Taurus Model 85 Satin Nickel .38Spl., Taurus PT92AF 9mm, and Smith Model 422 .22 rimfire. Those were the days back then when I was young and stupid but didn't have the money so to get a gun I had to sell one.
@@rbm6184 in late 80s i sold TWO 357Colt Pythons arghhh lol. Another was a single shot break action 357 rifle only 34" long, great for treed black bears. List goes on and on lol. Last few i regret went to vet bills for my German Shepherd so cant cry too hard, id cut out a kidney for that darn dog lol.
@@Jeffroh Yeah my list is longer also but those five stand out as the biggest regrets. Some of them like the 1911 was my first pistol and the work I put into it to make it a good bowling pin gun for matches. My Savage 110 was my first hunting rifle but not my first rifle. The Taurus PT92 was just a great 9mm service/duty pistol. The Taurus Model 85 was my first revolver and satin nickel and it was my second pistol and backup to my 1911. I bought it from my boss originally and he gave me the blues for selling it. Haha.
That's the truth.
I have never sold a gun. Seems like a hassle. I've never understood why people sell guns they like unless they needed money.
I understand.....I regret selling some of my older guns, but I sold to upgrade them to newer ones so, I have to accept that, and the ones I have now, are worth the extra money spent upgrading.
Thanks for the video !
I feel your pain. I only sold one weapon; a maverick 88, and to this day I regret it
I hear ya Louis
$230 new at Academy Sports all day long.
A early 80’s 28-2 sw 357 magnum highway patrolman, a remington r1 45 acp 1911 and a sig stx 45 acp 1911 and a sig p320 x5 legion.
Thanks Will
Thanks
Great video... LESSON LEARNED... I'm never selling any of them, just buying more, and more, and more......
This was back in the 90's, but I let go: S&W Model 27, an unissued SKS, an unissued Mosin 44, a S&W Model 15, and a like new Yugoslavian AK. Didn't realize what I had when I was in my 20's.
Thanks!
You are the man Vonzigle. Thanks so much
I regret selling, or giving as a gift, any firearm I may or may not have given or sold in the distant past.
I am old, and it used to be legal to do so.
Have sold off a few and regretted it! Recalling them is painfull.
1) Colt Detective Special
2) Browning/Beretta BDA .380
3) Churchill SxS 12 gauge (very rare and the most painfull of all to recall)
4) Marlin 1895 .45-70
5) S&W M27 4 inch Highway Patrolman .357 Magnum
Not planning on selling any more Guns and I do plan to buy a Canik TP9 SF Elite. Love my early production Canik TP9DA!!!
Ruger Vaquero. It was a 2002 model. Nickel plated, ivory handle. I traded it for a Ruger PCC. We had some break ins in the neighborhood and some guys in a stolen car were checking out my house. Only semi auto rifle I had was a Rem 552 (22lr) and I didn’t have much money so I traded it for something more worthy of self defense. AR-15 was too expensive around here.
Only regret selling two firearms, a Gen1 G17 and an Australian made L1A1 Self-Loading Rifle. Only regret not buying one firearm I had the opportunity to buy, a late production M1 Carbine in superb condition.
Had a P30sk. Sold it. Miss it.
👍👍Thanks Dan, I’ve bought lots of firearms but have only sold one in my lifetime……..a Remington model 700 in 243. I did give my Remington 700 in 270 to my oldest grandson which has given me great pleasure watching him take deer with it each hunting season.
I "almost" regretted selling my (very inexpensive) Diamondback DB9 Gen 4.
My boss was looking for a home defense gun. At the time; I hated the DB9 at the range because it kicked like a mule and WASN'T fun to shoot.
I loaned it to him for 2 or 3 months (with two loaded mags, and one in the chamber so he could try it out).
He let it sit in the back of his pickup the whole time never firing the weapon. When I finally asked him if he was gonna buy it or give it back; he said "the wife won't go for a gun in the house, so you can take it back"---everything was oxidized from the Iowa Humidity (aluminum casing bullets, gun, the whole nine yards), and I took it out in the country and fired everything. No hiccups at all.
I was impressed! I shot EVERYTHING through that $278.00 gun, and it did AND STILL DOES fire everything you throw at it. I'm keeping it, and glad I didn't sell it.
Still a hand smacker at the range---but VERY reliable.
Other than that, no, my guns are like my guitars...buy, and keep. The wife (and/or grown kids) can do what they want with my stuff when I'm gone.
I’m the same way there’s always something that I’ve gotta have in order to afford it I gotta get rid of something else it’s the curse of always trying to find the ultimate gun
I know the feeling James
I really miss my very first pistol, a TX22 Taurus .22lr.. Next would be my Windham Weaponry WW-15 5.56 AR-15.
I kinda miss my Sig X-TEN but I replaced it with a P220 Legion 10mm SAO, so not so much..
That coach gun was sweet! It reminds me of a case hardened Iver Johnson 1911 that I wanted!
The only gun I regret selling is a CZ 75 SP-01 urban gray. I loved the gun, it was my favorite, but house had priority
Feel you brother. Bought a Shadow 2 SAO in August 23. Lost my job in Oct 23, my boss died, but I still have it. Curse is I won't shoot it, should be worth more new as It has been discontinued. My other is a Rami 2075, I've put 50 rounds through it, but also discontinued. Looking to sell them to make house payment. Sad indeed. All this building back better 💩
Videos like this are why I won't sell any guns. But, I've been lucky and haven't had any that I dislike.
I'm glad to see you use some advertising once in awhile yet, because you deserve to be compensated for all the expense of doing your videos and your time. I definitely really like the 40 Smith & Wesson caliber, I wish more firearms were made in 40.
It sucked when I sold an Extar EP9 - polymer pistol that was a lot of fun to shoot, never cleaned it but it shot any and all ammo without issue. Extar now makes an EP45 so that might be a fun one to replace the EP9. They take a long time to acquire though, a wait list and Extar only produces low quantities each month. And then the SBR issue you can’t shoulder it or have a brace on it, unless, of course you pay the infringement tax.
There are several guns I regret selling, but biggest whopper is when back in 1987 a guy who I worked with said his Grand mother wanted her late husbands gun out of the house and this really involves " the gun I traded and TOTALLY REGRET IT. Its turns out this was a vintage GI 45ACP in which he used in World war 2 and it was a Remington Rand worth a big chunk of money that I paid only 150.00 for and I didn't being young I didn't know the value of firearms and turned around traded for new Cobray Mac-11 9mm that only cost 225 to 250 dollars . I cringe every time I think about this. Its no wonder the guy who did the trade was so happy.
The p30 in 40 is easily converted to 9mm with a EFK dragon fire conversion barrel and you just change to 9mm mags. One note is the p30 share mags with the vp models.
The coach gun surprises me, that is such a beautiful shotgun
My first shotgun was an Ithaca 20 ga. pump I got for Christmas one year. I was probably 14. I sold it for pennies on the dollar in my 20s. I had a Marlin model 783 bolt action .22 Magnum rifle that I let go. Also a Remington Speedmaster .22lr semiautomatic rifle and a Remington 7400 30-06 semiauto. To this day I grieve letting those guns go. They’re not all that valuable except to me for sentimental reasons. Now, I won’t sell any gun short of needing the money to save one of my kids’ lives!
With this new law the ATF pulling into affect regarding public gun sales making basically everybody into a dealer if you’re making any profit at all or even if you intended to make a profit I don’t know if you’ve looked into it but it was signed into a whole lot in 2022 but the actual brief goes in and is approved on 520 so far as I’m concerned I can’t sell anymore Guns. Not less I had an FFL license
Stainless Colt Defender, Stainless PPK, and TPH. SIG 229 ELITE
Bummer Dwayne
Haven’t sold a gun yet. This video and comments deter me from ever wanting to start. 😂
Been there done that myself too, too often. That CZ double barrel would make me sad for sure. Take care Dan. Many thanks.
Unfortunately I have 3, 1) Ruger 22/45 2) Beretta ARX160 3) Yildiz high performance over/under
Beretta 92FS and Ruger SP101 come to mind.
I have two big regrets. The cz p07 is probably my biggest regret but also I had a nearly mint condition Chinese sks I sold about 10 years ago and I miss it too!
Glad to see your comments working Dan 2 of your last videos would not allow i tried to let you know in a not so recent video to give you a heads up!😃
I know that heartbreak. Several got away from me including a python I bought in the 80s.
Ouch, that hurts Rix
Marlin 1895 45-70 stainless laminated. I miss it the most, especially since i paid $600 something for it around 10 yrs ago.
I've been using ammo squared for a few years now. Yes technically you will pay more over time but I chip in like $20 into my account every month and buy several rounds of ammo per month, and then after it gets to a thousand rounds it gets mailed to me(automatically)
Great to hear Chris
S&W Model 10...(had two CZ P01's but just couldn't manage the smaller slide; traded both).
I hear you on that sharp tail. I get it. I did the same on an Uberti 1876 lever action in 357. Beautiful looking. Regret It. Yes. But it gives me the opportunity to get something else. One can justify all decisions. Can’t we!!
Thanks bro
Yup 👍 👍
My Ruger Sr40 😢 , hard to find now , I loved the old Ruger SR series , I had 40 , 9 , 9c sold them all but miss the 40 the most.
Langdon tactical 92 elite compact, I never even shot it, what the hell was I thinking 🤔
Sry to hear Chris
I let my Steyer GB go, which I regret. I also sold my S&W 645, which I REALLY regret, one of the best firearms ever!
Thanks Ronald
There’s been a few. Beretta PX4. Canik TP9 SF. Glock 26. S&W MP45. I used them to trade up for other guns. I’m currently looking for an HK P30 also.
Only 5? You've led a charmed life.
The main gun I hate selling was a Sig Sauer Tacops 1911 in .357 Sig. They quit making them and hardly ever come up for sale 😢
4006 chp trade in, my p320 & my honor defense honor guard
Taurus 85 ULTRA lite, boy I miss that, with a hogue grip.
I regret selling a gen 1 Hellcat instead of just changing the sights and trigger, and a SAR B6C before aquiring a P-01, which I still haven't.
This won't help but each of us have regrets Dan!
Yes, we all have regrets. I agree Buz
I belong to AMMO2 .. ALSO I have one gun I TOTUALLY regret getting rid of. I had gotten an new job and we weren't allowed to carry single action weapons . instead of holding onto this. I sold it. it was Colt Delta Elite 10mm .
Nice list Dan sorry that we part with such items, but sometimes for tte better and sometimes not.
Very true Ratagris
The one gun I regret selling was my 18" AR was turning it into my GPR but I needed a truck to get to work I didn't have the money at the time to buy one so I threw that rifle in to sweeten the deal. Another one I got rid of that I wish I had was a Smith and Wesson 5946 I bought and gave as a Christmas gift to my father in law. I was sad to see that go but he really likes it
I hear ya Robert
I sold one rifle to get a bucket list revolver. I won the rifle in a raffle, a raffle rifle. No regerts.
😁🫡🇺🇸😎
That CZ shotgun is beautiful. 😍
Believe it or not, a Para GI Expert. Yeah, it was a cast frame and slide and an ant hill of MIM parts but it shot great.
I have a couple I somewhat regret selling, CZ P07, Walther PPQ Navy, Springfield EMP and the Ruger SP101. I do have a P01, a threaded M&P that I shot slightly better than the PPQ, BUL SAS UL is similar size to the EMP with twice the capacity and I don’t have any revolvers right now, sadly. Just can’t keep them all sometimes.
I've never sold anything either. Their all in my collection!😊🔫
My kind of person ! 👍
My bucket isn’t nearly big enough for my list. 😂🤣 I’m always thinking two ahead of whatever I’m buying next. I get put on a spending freeze a lot. 🤦♂️
My P30 will never leave me. But I miss selling my CZ P07, Winchester Defender, and Sig 516.
Is your HK P30 chambered in the ideal and my favorite cartridge caliber .40 s&w?
A good list. I know I wish I still had my Taurus PT-99 ,, satin nickel finished. 🙂
S&w 10mm I regret buying. 3rd trip to Smith and still not fixed.
Yep, SW quality control has decreased
What a coincidence, I also had a P30 in .40 S&W. I don't regret selling it, though, I hated the way it shot. And I know I'm not alone because I couldn't sell it to save my life. I had it for sale for weeks (actually, I think it was a few months) before I gave up and sold it to the FFL for whatever pittance they offered. My only regret is that I didn't get more money for it. I think you're the only person who likes that gun, if I could do it all over again, I'd sell mine to you 😂
I regret selling my Sig Trailside. This is a .22lr that was built by Hammerli in Switzerland.
It was a great shooting gun, but in my younger days, I had to sell it due to a cash-flow problem.....About a year later, the fellow who bought it had it for sale at his table at a gun show. I bought it back for a small loss.
I enjoyed it for about two more years, and then a layoff forced a few guns to be sold, and it once more had to go.
I am retired now, and I will snap up one of these if I ever find one locally again.
Main ones I regret go back to when I had an FFL. Should have kept a couple more of the East German Makarovs and a couple of the unissued Russian SKS rifles. Also the Egyptian Rasheed that I had. Probably most of all was a Colt Series 70 National Match that had no series markings on the slide. Made 300 bucks on the deal and had intent to grab another from the same dealer. Unfortunately he sold the last one a couple days before I got back to his shop.
Any time you want to visit your(?) CZ Sharptail, come on over. As to regrets, yes I have many, though most are from the sell-a-gun-to-buy-a-gun time of my live.
I've never sold anything 😁 Whenever I feel the urge, I usually get cold feet. Within a short time of changing my mind about the sale, I take it to the range just "to be sure" and realize how lucky I was for not selling
Love that!
Good for you Galfrid!
Good for me, but not my wallet 🤣. Honestly, keep something long enough and you'll probably like it again or find some use for it 👍
My S&W model 28.
Remington 700 5R in 6.5creedmore green stock/stainless steel
So far NONE is how many I’ve parted ways with. Admittedly I’m more of a collector and have a few I’ve never fired. Guess I need to change that huh?
My biggest regret is I let a Ruger P-85 go, don't laugh. I could shoot that pistol better than any other pistol I've ever had. Use to hit man sized steel at 100 yds consistently. Hated the mushy trigger on it is why I let it go. But damn it was accurate as all get out, would buy another or a P- 89 if I could find one in really good shape. Thx for the vid FG
I regret selling my old firestar and rossi revolver cause finding those are hard, I found a firestar and it cost me 3 times what the first one did.
Yes, I have a rare Amedeo Rossi 2 inch 5 shot revolver from the 1950’s, that my father bought brand new, and I inherited it. Mine was before Rossi even had model numbers, or gun names. I have checked Gunbroker many times, but have never seen one like mine. Also have a Firestar made in Spain by the now defunct Star.
@@gracedagostino5231 Awesome, they are both great guns in my opinion.
Uugghh!! You selling that coach gun hurt a wee bit. lol 😆. I sold a Marlin 336 a long time ago and regret it to this day. I will get another one day. Thanks for digging up bad decisions hahaha. Another great video good sir 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Mine is the LC9S, traded for Max 9 and did not like the Max 9.
But after redeemed myself by trading the Max 9 for security 9.
I had a used but new looking Glock 17 with the Tupperware box and all accessories. Now it’s rare enough there’s a replica version out. I will probably never sell another gun.
I had a Sig 226 elite that I never warmed up to. I keep my guns in like new condition, and the matte finish of the elite was a pain to clean. Would have been nice just to still have on my collection.
Then I gifted my CZ sp.01 Omega compact to my future son-in-law, and that one I really miss. I don't think he has even shot it. I don't think he has even shot it yet. It was his Christmas present. I might get that one back if I cry a lot and tell him how much I miss it.
