As of August 9, 2023 - four days ago - it is no longer possible to visit the Baldwin House Museum, the Wo Hing Museum, Front Street, Lahaina Cannery Mall, Maui Fridays, or the Lahaina Jodo Mission. All have been destroyed, or are no longer taking place because Lahaina has been wiped out. Some of the businesses mentioned in this video are currently not functioning either. Tragic and unbelievable, but true.
Iao Valley State Park and Botanical Gardens is only accessible from the east side of the island. You can't drive directly there from Lahaina. You have to drive to the other side of the island first. It is not close to Lahaina.
Wrong. You can drive directly from Lahaina to anywhere on Maui. You can drive directly from Lahaina to Iao Valley and Botanical Gardens. It is about a 45 minute drive.

You have to drive south from Lahaina to Maalaea, then northeast to Kahului on the other side of the island, then go west to Iao Valley. There is a large mountain in between Lahaina and Iao Valley that prevents you driving straight between the two. Correct, that you can drive there in 45 minutes with no traffic but the point was that this video tells you Iao Valley is in Lahaina and just a short distance to get to. It is actually on the other side of a mountain and although only 10 miles away as a crow flies, will take you a while to drive there. Yes you can drive from Lahaina to any tourist attraction in Maui that cars can access, but you may not be able to drive "directly" there and they may not be close.
"America's nicest beach"?? A) There is no country called America! I guess you're talking about the USA. The 'A' in USA refers to the continent, not to a country. B) Kuba is also in America and has much nicer beaches! C) Hawaii is neither in America nor *in* the USA.
