Blake - Thanks so much for this video! Went to Maui - had no idea we needed reservations nearly everywhere. Missed a few places I had wanted to go. This vid was a lifesaver. Its usually on weekends where reservations are absolutely required, but during weekdays it can either be quick seating or just about a half hour wait, it is long but patience is key

My gf and I are in Maui right now. And Blake does NOT disappoint! So far we are on day 2 and we’ve already tried 3 different places from his videos. Every one of them has been beyond amazing! We just got back from Maui and loved many of the places you mentioned but didn’t know about some of them. Now we have something to look forward to on our next trip! Coconut’s Fish Cafe in Kihei was amazing. We ate breakfast at Kihei Caffe twice. Both places typically have a line, but they move fast and so worth the wait!
Honokawai raised and now live in Cali. I used to work at The Gazebo (still have my work shirts). Definitely a hidden gem

I disliked Gazebo very much. Super over rated. California has much better brunch food.

@@cambry2115 we waited an hour for our table, there were birds flying around everywhere and the staff barely cleaned the tables, the food was sooooo mediocre (I can make better breakfast food). It was ultimately so dirty and the food was meh. Not worth an hour wait time and not worth the money!

I was psyched you mentioned Okazuya. I have recommended that place to everyone who goes to Maui. We love that place. The last day on our last trip, we cancelled our plans and just hung out on the beach, got a couple of Maui onion burgers, and chilled. It was the best day ever. We’ve also been to Down the Hatch and Monkeypod.

Just got back from Maui. Was already a fans of Monkeypod and Kihei Caffe, and went to both a couple of times. But we also visited Down the Hatch, Leota's and Joey's Kitchen on your recommendation and all were really fabulous! The crab and lobster grilled cheese was really good at Down the Hatch, but the mermaid fries there were the best I believe I have ever had! Thanks Blake!

What's great about this video is I've been to many places, but there were so many other places I could have added that I've returned to again and again. There it truly something for everyone! My #1 is Maui Tacos in Kihei. That pulled pork burrito is a gift from the heavens and they have housemade salsas that are to die for!

Aloha Blake! Thank you for the recommendations! My husband I love Maui and can't wait to return! In Nov. 2019, got to experience Down the Hatch's Lobster Crab Grilled Cheese...it was amazing! May 2021, bucket list highlight for me was Mama's Fish House on Mother's Day, an experience I will never forget. It's a reservation restaurant, but I thought I would give a shot out anyways. The view, the food, the service, and our waiter, Nicholas, who was born and raised in Maui was unforgettable! Loved the Polynesian Black Pearl for dessert...almost too pretty to eat...but of course I did. Stayed in Kihei first trip and in Kahana this past May. Looking forward to trying Gazebo for breakfast! Mahalo!

This was great to see and me and my wife hit up literally everyone of these places when we visited in 2018. Ono tacos and Tamuras were a staple for us for 2 weeks. Mahalo
Maui is my favourite place in the world. The weather is amazing, the island is beautiful, there food is exquisite, the people are really nice if your also nice, the culture is beautiful, love the language, the beaches are the best, modern and tropics hotels

I think they'll love some of the restaurants you mentioned. Does Aunty Sandy's offer other snacks to enjoy on the Road to Hana, for folks who either don't like or are allergic to bananas? We were just there from Jan 27-Feb 1 2022 and loved your recommendation on Down the Hatch. We loved the Lobster Grill Cheese and the Lava Lava Taco and went there twice within 24 hrs. Thank you

Great list! I’m lucky to have tried most of them. I also love Miso Phat Sushi and the Huli Huli chicken stand on Kihei Beach rd. So many great food options in Maui.
When I used to live in Napili, we'd go fishing and bring our catch back to Miso, they'd but it and then make us fresh rolls!

I grew up on The Gazebo, the smell that comes from there is forever in my memories.
Best cinnamon roll I've ever had in my life is Cinnamon Roll Place in Kihei. AMAZING!! Their mango bread was also so delicious!

We just got back from Maui and went to half of these places without really planning. We also really loved Kilo's food truck just before coming into Hana.
We just got home from Maui. The hyatt regency was amazing. Mama’s Fish house was so good and I don’t eat fish. Whalers village was fun to walk up too. Monkey pod was good and hulla grill. Cool cats was fun.

Maui Pie in Kehei is my FAVORITE place for pies and other desserts. I love going there every time I go to Maui. Sadly, have not been able to go for about 2yrs. But...maybe I will be able to go back someday.👍

Blake your suggestions are fantastic. You are the perfect example of the Aloha Spirit too. I'd only like to add besides using the proper reef-friendly sunscreen is any time you see any trash on the beaches or in the waters, people please pick it up and put it in a proper trash can. Leave No Trace but leave a part of your Aloha behind instead. 🥰

I'm from NH and I didn't realize Flatbread was a chain until I came to Maui. Turns out there's a bunch in the northeast and ONE in Maui and that's it. Awesome eats. Honorable mention goes to Da Kitchen. Too bad they moved from the north shore. Thanks, Blake!

Definitely the Grindz on Maui for breakfast. The pancakes with the macnilla syrup is the bomb! Also Leoda’s in Maui. The best sandwiches and pies.
