  • New Aerial Video of the Lahaina Fire taken 6 weeks after the Fire by Drone. Starting from Kahoma Village and Following Front Street both North and South. Previously there was a no-fly zone imposed on the disaster area but it was recently lifted. You can see that there has already been progress with the clean up.

    this is the best aerial video footage I've seen of the Maui fires. Organization and control of the drone is 10 out of 10. I"ve seen many videos of the Maui fires from both the start on Aug. 8th up to today - this one is the best overall coverage of the extent and severity of the fire damage. Of course there are a lot of unanswered questions surrounding the whole tragedy and from what I've seen so far, Governor Green and the mayor and police chief are not being held accountable. The tragedy deserves an official investigation by an independent group of investigators that is not link to the Governor or any of the Maui officials like the mayor, police and fire chiefs and the Electric utility company directors.

      This dudes home and neighborhood was spared, his first video rt after the fires, he was allowed back home? When nobody else could and still can’t. They made an ordinance for no drones to fly over Lahaina, but he can? Weird. U know the locals probably didn’t like him for selling out to the all new electric house. That what they were fighting, and now he’s a hero? He sounds scripted. Not any care for the victims? Wth? This dude is a drone himself.

    An arborist pointed out which trees were the most flammable but he's seeing that they didn't burn even when close to other things that burned. He's seen these types of fires in other places. Wildfires burn trees but these fires burn almost everything but trees and certain plastics. He says that they don't let you in right away to try and remove plastic bins and other visible anomalies.

      @mariknutson7307 11 месяцев назад +13

      All the un-melted dumpsters are so strange, I agree. The trees not burning in some areas adjacent to melted homes and cars is strange but not uncommon. Australia fire victims, Colorado Marshall Fire victims, and Paradise, California Fire victims experienced similar anomalies. An Australian commented that even the Eucalyptus trees, which are extremely ignitable, were sometimes the things that protected the structures from igniting. It must have to do with their inner cellular moisture content. The trees adjacent to my house are watered and not drought stressed like the trees in my forest. I GIS spatially analyzed burned/ unburned properties in Lahaina and found no connection between construction type, roof type, age of structure, proximity to vegetation/ trees, bare ground, grass, or ownership. Also, color of structure did not matter. I specifically was looking to see if blue was determinant of survival and found that many blue things survived, and many blue things burned. Many white and red things survived. There was no pattern or trend. Similar to a tornado, the destruction spared random homes and demolished others. I theorize now that the fire is creating fire tornados and burning a pattern of destruction similar to regular tornadoes.

    If I understand things correctly, the building at 2:40 that is a burned out shell has a dense patch of trees right behind it and right across the road from that nothing but ash. But this would have been the direction the wind and fire was traveling. So we are expected to believe the fire skipped all that brush and ignited the building. This is a great video. The very best of any that I've been able to see. The beauty and the devastation of a beautiful and historic town and her cherished people's. I've never been to Hawaii but my daughter went to this town and told me how wonderful and kind the people were. My heart just hurts for the evil done to all who live and love this town. It's history and the generations that are still there is absolutely soulful and I hope that they do not feel like we who live in the mainline of the USA do not care or understand what they have lost from this evilly planned destruction done to them. We had a smaller town destroyed the same way along with thousands of acres full of trees, etc. The town was called Paradise, and it burned just like that fire did. The trees were burning from the inside out, and the roots were burning upwards. I believe most of the fires that burned that year here, at least in California, were burned deliberately for land grabs just as that one did. Paradise is not that far from Sacramento where I live and feel that no place here in the States are really safe from wherever they decide to burn us out or create things that will destroy our homes and whole towns or just anywhere or anything that they feel stands in their way. I never thought I would ever see such monsters as we have for governments in this, today's world we live in. They will face a judgement one day that they do not believe in, and I also believe they are things that will not be forgiven and the Wrath that will come for them all will if nothing else, be like no other and they will have a long time burning just like the fires they burned here, except theirs will never be extinguished. I do not think their kind will ever think about repentance because they bow down to a different little (g) god! The father of lies.
    God Bless Hawaii and may your hearts be able to heal one day and may you keep your land by a miracle given to you. You and yours are loved much even though you don't feel it. But we who are not from your beautiful culture, our hearts are hurt for you and we do love all of you. God loves you most. I'm so sorry for the loss of your family members and friends. There is nothing that I can say right now that will help you except that I care about you all.❤❤❤❤

      Current NOAA wind direction shows wind coming from the east, south, and north. I don't know about on Aug 7th, but I suspect a hurricane with 60mph winds was whipping from 3 directions. Closer to the fire front, the fire sucks oxygen inward, creates its own weather. Smoke jumpers experience winds so fierce when they have to shelter that they say their shelters are nearly ripped off their bodies. One guy said he was almost lifted off the ground.
