    I can't believe you're doing this.
    Why are you reporting on this terrible burn zone properties?!
    Announcing the cheap price discount is like promoting the land grab.
    It's an insult to injury, loss and fatalities!!!
    Seems like you're trying to use click bait for monetary gain. 🤷🏽

      That is not the case at all. Trust me, it would be a lot easier for me to not discuss this topic and focus my efforts on real estate in other areas. But I own property in the Burn Zone myself. A '"land grab" would hurt me monetarily way more than any video could help. I also helped a lot of clients buy property in Lahaina over the years so I think all sides of the story should be presented and people have the right to sell their properties if they wish to do so.

The Bank vultures will gladly lend out loans but wont think twice of adding missed Mortgage Payments to the end of their Mortgage Term. Forcing those with Mortgages no option but to sell. Despicable! This is EXACTLY what Josh Green was hoping for..To weed the Hawaiians off their land. To sell land cheap and have developers Buy as many out as they can. Should be outlawed for anyone to Buy real estate within the Fire Zone. This was NOT a natural Fire, and the County of Maui should be held accountable for compensating those that lost their homes. Your video is so well done,. so sensitive and respectful. I have visited Lahaina many times from my home in Vancouver and I adore the people. I am devastated about what happened and I have huge concern for people hoping to rebuild their homes and businesses. I hope it goes as well as possible and that insurance companies are quick and very fair. Much care.

  • @TheBackStory22
    @TheBackStory22 10 месяцев назад +11

    You did a very respectful video on a very sensitive subject. I have a couple of questions for no reason other than curiosity. I am assuming that the condo was a cash sale and a very speculative one. What exactly is the person buying since as you said the condo doesn't exist? Is it a proportional share of ??? that depending on what is built later the owner has as an asset or investment share more like a mutual fund? If it is built back but not exactly the same for any number of reasons, for example fewer units allowed, how on earth is that sorted? I would think that the buyer is speculating that the association may vote to sell the entire property and then possibly see a return from the sale proceeds? Lastly, while the sale for $140k is way below the previous comp of $840k, is it not relevant to that the owner likely had some insurance and may receive an amount that would help bridge the horrific value drop? The devastation is so horrible. There are so many videos of people telling the stories of their loss. It is heartbreaking. Our government is beyond pathetic. Forget healthcare and pensions for Ukraine. Take that money and make the people of Maui whole again (and East Palestine, Ohio not Gaza). Thanks and I totally understand that the sales aren't going to be anywhere near typical so each will have to be worked out as it comes. Continuing prayers for all. Thanks, good job.

People also attack the people that try to help like Oprah and the Rock who have not only done nothing wrong, but have donated millions to this cause. Common sense just isn't common anymore.
      Eric is a big goof. He isn't a scientist, a forensics expert, or an expert on fire.... He's a realtor. And he should stick to selling houses.

      I would think the owners have rights to a percentage of the land value and the insurance monies, relative to their percentage of unit square footage as it existed and still exists legally. The owners could vote to take the insurance monies and rebuild, or take the money and sell the land and pay off their mortgages. This owner is betting that the land will sell for a very high price, is my guess.

    As a retired building and fire inspector on Maui and Lahaina, Personally if my home burned in Lahaina i would take the insurance settlement and MOVE elsewhere for these reasons: It may take YEARS to get legal clearance to rebuild because of the extent of TOXIC substances on the ground, in the water and in the air. These must be properly removed acvording to CURRENT CODES. And it will be EXPENSIVE, cutting into my insurance settlement monet. Secondly, i would NOT like to rebuild on a property that a family member or my neighbors BURNED TO DEATH IN. Its just too CREEPY. thirdly, to rebuild and live on the same property would bring back too many BAD MEMORIES. Time to move on, try to FORGET and HEAL.

      @@JesseGWald let's start with the police blocking all the escape routes on Front street. Then we can add the water being shut off so the fire crews couldn't even fight the fires. Throw in the fact that they didn't sound one of the most up to date warning systems to warm the people of the approaching firestorm, which states in their own documented sources that it was designed to include fire and other natural disasters. The fact that the power was cut off, then not deenergized, depending on who you ask, and ironically the mayor and other emergency responders were all attending a emergency forum on the big island. I could go on with other obvious discrepancies but as I have found with years of watching these wolves in charge that you can point out many truths but people have been so brainwashed into believing the narratives spewed out by these psychopaths and covered up by the media and officials in charge it is much easier to kill the messenger. As far as the moon landing if you dig into the facts they don't add up either. People need to Break the mind control and see we are being lied to, stolen from and murdered by powers that don't give a rats ass about you, me, our children or anything else we value. But most will dismiss this as a rant from some conspiracy tinfoil hat wearing nut...... Wake up people.

    • @gorjess4real
      @gorjess4real 10 месяцев назад

      It was orchestrated by those pushing Maui to be a 15 min city & they did this after trying to force the natives to sell their ancestral land in Lahaina with no luck. Mark Zuckerberg has already sued several Hawaiian families for their land and won forcing them to sell. It's terrible and beyond evil wake up.

    So very sad for the land owners in Lahaina town. It’s so unfair that probably most of them will end up having to sell out with huge mortgages they won’t be able to pay off. Insurance companies aren’t paying out as much as they need and many of the landowners were probably underinsured. The state and federal governments need to step in and help all of the owners. Especially the owners who have lived there for many generations.

    On the five year anniversary of the California Topanga Canyon / Malibu fires, research showed that many lots still remain unbuilt, residents choose to buy existing properties in the area or moved out of state, etc. There really isn’t just one solution. Recovery from this fire on Maui will be tougher, the people on the island need to vote in representatives that will use resources in the way the want and also hold state level agencies and HI Electric accountable

    It is more the value because of the land a fixed asset whose value go up every ten years not really the house because houses materials are from dead resources like trees mineral ores for making timber other timber products nails metals so on and so forth which requires renovations every 2 years re paintings and whatnots
    It is the land that is more valuable simply because the rates increases every decade whether native or crown Government or freehold land

    The fact that houses were turned to dust and immediately adjacent to the house site is a tree with green leaves makes it obvious that something unnatural happened there. All you have to do is really look at the pictures and videos in order to see many, many anomalies.

    • @wyattasinearp
      @wyattasinearp 10 месяцев назад +4

      This is not uncommon. My cousin’s house burned to the ground in Paradise and since fires create their own storm, it just happens. House can get obliterated but the tree in the yard and some landscaping survives. Not unusual. I lived on ranch and the small town where I went to grammar school burned to the ground in the 1950’s . Same thing happened then. Houses burned to the ground but trees and shrubs survived. The entire town was gone in minutes. I’ve lived in California most of my 80:years except 12 years in Lahaina. I’ve seen many many fires occur here. People need to stop with the conspiracy theories! Investigate where the water problem began. Start with Peter Martin’s big developments and golf courses getting water diverted. And this happens, why? Money talks. Sad but true. Permits get approved which brings more money to government.

      @@JesseGWald Your own fence shows evidence of microwaves, where the nails burned the wood from the inside. And then there's the Blue Honda by the multi-family town homes that were leveled, right next to the plastic jeep you also filmed yourself. Did you also happen to notice the utilities UNDER the sidewalk were also burned? What happened to your garage door keypad cover? Police body cam videos show Kahoma village "smoking" from the bushes and under the sidewalk, in spots that never actually burned. In several other peoples videos, you can see small firenadoes getting trapped within the hollow waveguide conduit of the patented laser-guided microwave weapon. Lahaina Pentecostal Church in Wahikuli was obviously irradiated by microwaves. It wasn't combustion, it was calcination and sublimation from microwave irradiation. How else were the people on Front street completely carbonized with their hair still intact, while not burning away the flesh. One mother found her son holding the dog, both in a charred but recognizable state. She thought God left him that way so she could recognize him. (Human remains are not left "recognizable" in normal fires.)
      After doing plenty of research, "they" could be considered to be "The Hierarchy Enslaving You", which consists of the UN's climate gang, the World Economic Forum, the DoD OUSD R&E, Space Force, Carlyle Group, Blackrock Inc, Vanguard Group, FEMA, EPA, Army National Guard, MPD, HECO, etc.
