Wow! I've been watching a bunch of videos about moving to Italy and everybody talks about Puglia, Abruzzo and Sicily; but Liguria looks stunning. I bet it doesn't get quite so hot and humid there too, and would be a quick easy trip into the rest of Europe.
100% agree with you. I’ve had Puglia in my mind for a holiday home for past 3 years but now I am intrigued by Liguria, especially for milder weather during summer and the proximity to Central Europe. Some tough choice I will have to make, as I love Puglia ❤️
@@ExpatTheExplorer I'm going to Italy on a cruise next year and it will be my first time there. I'm really excited because Italy has been at the top of my bucket list for many years. I hope you get your holiday home and it's everything you dreamed of. ❤️
@@divergirl8296 That sounds amazing! Italy is such a beautiful country-I'm sure you'll have an unforgettable time. Enjoy every moment of your cruise! Thank you for the kind wishes. ❤
The beaches you can find in Liguria are very narrow and packed during the summer… besides, they’re generally rocky. Tuscany, instead, has stunning wide, sandy beaches that are not necessarily private or packed with tourists if you go down south. Tuscany is my personal favourite. Sicily and Puglia are certainly beautiful, but the facilities are not even comparable to the ones you can find in Tuscany or Liguria. All the friends I have, who have chosen to live in southern Italy, always come to the northern regions for any health problems, I wonder why…😂
I live there. Be sure that calling Liguria stunning is not enough. It is the most beautiful italian region.
Good info, but I agree that the AI narration is a turnoff. Sink-Terra. LOL.
Thank you for the comment. I know, he is not very good with the foreign names 🤦🏻♀️
Hey, I just found your video: I love it, you give in short time a perfect, clear overview of the situation an the country. Thank you for for the inspiration! Best wishes from Austria! Ulli
Hi Ulli! Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm thrilled to hear you enjoyed the video and found it helpful. Best wishes to Austria, what a beautiful country!
How easy is it to get residency in italy ? What Financial requirements do you need to apply ? Is it similar to greece, golden visa, financially independent etc
@joobie1000 There is Elective Residency Visa (ERV) available for retirees. To qualify you need to have a passive income of 31,000 euros (single) or 38,000 euros (for a couple), which can be a pension or an investment.
@ExpatTheExplorer wow that's even more than greece, so that's out of the question for me I'm afraid ! I could buy a property up to say £200,000 but no way have we got €38,000 a year between us in pensions
@@joobie1000 Yes, that is around €500 more then in Greece. You can get a visa in Greece if you invest €250,000 in a property. Italy unfortunately doesn't have this option. Have you consider Portugal?... the required passive income for retirement visa (D visa) is €820 per month + additional 50% for spouse.
@@ExpatTheExplorer no I haven't considered Portugal but thought it was very difficult to gain residency there ! Il look into in further detail
@@joobie1000 This video explains the whole process and cost for Portugal: ruclips.net/video/41a4MkT9fnE/видео.htmlsi=RYAvpfl7lZmFoIkH
VERY NICE
Thank you! 😃
I'd like a video on the art centers in Italy, please.
There will series of all Italian regions coming out this month, so art centres will be covered.
Thank you I liked your video.
Thank you 😊 I am happy you enjoyed it.
Can you input the link for these properties for sale. Thanks
I will be releasing series of videos about properties and cost of living of each Italian region, starting end of the month, I will input links for each listing.
Puglia,Abruzzo, Sicily are places I’ve been looking at
All are excellent choices, Abruzzo is beautiful, Sicily is magical but it’s too hot 🥵 for me especially in summer . I have my eyes set on a country house in Puglia, visiting next month for viewings.
@@ExpatTheExplorer Will you be doing a video on your findings? I hope so.
@@nancylucas4231 yes I will be doing videos on my viewings 😊
Wow! Great opportunities ahead! It’s very difficult to choose one location
Yes that’s true, I have chosen Puglia as my base ( going there next month for holiday home hunt) but sometimes I wonder if it’s the right choice 🤷🏻♀️ . I guess only time will tell.
Im very interested in the property listings that are flashed on the screen for each region.
Can you provide links or perhaps the realtors who you work with?
I really enjoyed the video and the confirmation that you can find that dream holiday home under $100k
Don’t pay attention to the haters!
Absolutely, please drop me an email to proexpats@gmail.com , I will be happy to send you links. Thank you for the supportive comment. 🌹
Great presentation sir. What do you know of the East coast; Abruzzo, Molise, etc. I see some good values there and I am visiting next month. Do you have any recommended towns to visit? Thanks, Sean in Texas
Trani, Bari, il Conero... but why the East coast? The western one is sooooo better!!!
Hello Sean, thank you for your lovely message. To be honest, I don’t know much about Molise but Abruzzo is a great region to visit. Visit Scanno - it is considered to be the most beautiful village in Italy. If you have a change you can visit neighboring Marche or Umbria region - which is as pretty as Tuscany but more affordable and less touristy. Have a great time in Italy and let me know how is Molise. Best wishes to Texas!
West side is definitely beautiful but There is something magic in the east and south ❤️
Это прекрасно
большое спасибо
I live in Scandinavia. Looking for good flight connection, good infrastructure to get to a cheap house. Please help. Thank you.
Hello Torben, first you should pick a region where you would like to buy a house.
My favorite is Puglia region so here is my suggestion:
1. There are flights available from Copenhagen (if that’s where you may be) but from other cities in Scandinavia too to Bari airport (around €50) - 2 hours flight. Cheapest option is Easy Jet.
2. Bari is well connected by train to many other towns in the region. For example train from Bari to Lecce will take around 1.5 hours. Most expats live in and around Lecce town. Or one hour journey from Bari to Brindisi, beautiful town.
3. Puglia has abundance of houses on a budget, the southern part( the boot of Italy) is the cheapest. For less than €50,000 you can get a nice house in smaller town like Oria, Martina Franca or Nardo, all between 1.5-2 hours by train from Bari. I hope this helps a little 😊
Is het possible for Belgium Peoples the buy there some house and is there a age limiet?
Hi Willy, yes, Belgian citizens can buy property in Italy with no restrictions. There's no age limit for buying a house.
That was a very good video and if if could be narrated by human and not AI I would definitely subscribe, thank you 👍🏻
Thank you for your comment. I have been thinking to ditch the AI voice for a while now, just trying to figure out how to use my own voice without sounding creepy 😂, so changes will be coming. For now, thank you for watching my video, I am glad you enjoyed it.
@@ExpatTheExplorer I will subscribe then thanks and summon your inner non creepy human voice 👍🏻👍🏻😁
@@ibenglish Awesome! You will be my favourite subscriber! I'll do my best to keep things non-creepy 😁
🤭 I was wondering what was u with the mispronunciation of the city 'Nice'. Now I know! 🤣
Good video. I had never considered Liguria before. Now I will. Thanks!
@@absolut_boston I am glad you are considering Liguria...its easier to pronounce it, rather than Nice 🤣. Thank you for lovely comment.
May I ask why you don't use your voice? I loved the video, but wanted to make sure it just wasn't ai click bait.
Not a click bait at all. 😀

Is there a scarcity of humans on planet Earth, so we need AI which cannot pronounce place names, like Nice properly, to narrate a video?
I'm done with you.
I’m with you!
I am sorry to hear you are done but your comment actually made me laugh ‘Is there a scarcity of humans on planet Earth’ 😂 so thank you for that.
@@ExpatTheExplorer, I was replying to that post, by @wernerdanler2742 …. He’s the clever one.☝️
AI narration where even the basic Italian town names are butchered takes me to the delete button quickly. You lose all credibility when you can’t even approximate the language. Get a real person to narrate.
Mike, life is too short to stress about few butchered names. So take it easy 🌻
What a scary choice of A.I. voice. Makes the entire video quite soulless...
Thanks for your comment.
Sorry people this was not meant for this channel !!!!!
