    lost four key fish in a tournament on them screw heads before lunch. ripped off the screw& just rigged em- won the tournament with over 19 pounds. That gamagatsu head looks like the deal- I'll have to pick up a few paks.

      I hate the screw on heads as well. Try the new SMH Zman head B-Lat came out with. It's for elaztech but it holds EVERYTHING and comes through everything as well!!! My new favorite head for Shakey heads

    Thanks for covering this bait. Definitely works. I run the hook point all the way through then back it up and let it sit in the channel it made. Works for me. Great video and info.

    Been fishing near my entire 40 years on this earth and havent ever really committed a lot of time to Shaky Heads. I dont know why, just not one of those "confidence baits" we always seem to be drawn to on though days. Thanks for the tips, I'll start focusing on using these more!

    The ⅛oz Charlie Brewer Spider Slider head is the only head I'll ever use. With a Zoom finesse worm, here on the Lower Coosa River, I've had 300 bites in a single day with it and have even caught over a hundred a couple of times. It's all about that DIAGONAL FALL; I never want to feel bottom.

    "Oh my head, My shaky shaky head" Why does a Billy Ray Cirus song pop in my head every time I see shaky head...LOL. I love site fishing with shaky heads. Pitch a few feet past the bed, drag it in and start to shaking........Good call Randy. More good stuuf friend.

    Randy, when you discuss how to rig the hook point, I was expecting you to skin hook the "side" of the worm (like you do with so many other worm rigs), so I'm curious as to why you didn't on the shaky rig. Would you mind sharing why you still pierce the middle of the worm on this set-up? Thanks!

    Good video!: but when i throw 1/16 oz on my Shaky head setup, I can't feel bottom when I fish more than 5 ft deep

    • @shadygraves
      @shadygraves 3 месяца назад

      You don't want to feel bottom! That's the whole point! You'll get more bites and catch more fish (on the FALL), if you get away from that 'gotta feel bottom' mentality. It's all about that FALL!!!

    I’m just curious. So many anglers prefer their plastic worms straight etc. What if you present a crooked worm? Like I don’t see how it can be wrong too. Just some to think about.

    • @andybales7318
      @andybales7318 3 месяца назад +1

      If it's not straight, could lead to your line being twisted

    • @b.l4365
      @b.l4365 3 месяца назад

      @@andybales7318 Idk how you can tangle your line with your lure. It’s 1 hook, not a treble. I’m just saying if you present it a bit different maybe it’ll attract more bites than some may think. Just look at it from a Texas rig way and a wacky rig way. Somebody came up with it and it’s been killing it ever since. Just saying.

    • @andybales7318
      @andybales7318 3 месяца назад +1

      @@b.l4365 a crooked bait like a worm will spin while working the bait, causing your line to twist..on a spinning reel, that's a BAD thing

    If yall are in a grassy body of water the SMH heads by zman are the best No screw lock made for grass Brain Lattimore designed them and they are the best I've used for a grassy body of water I'm in Texas so most of the water I fish is grassy those SMH heads cut right through it

    Its sad how you had to say "used to be won on a shakey head" guys out there on the water looking like ostriches with their heads stuck down in that screen lol. Also a shakey head with a trick worm is my all time fave bait to use i use the buckeye shakey head the push on head not the screw
