Alucard is right. Although Dracula is a dangerous being, instead of spend their immortality only killing humans, he also studied and collected knowledge Because he wanted and liked it. He is indeed a collection of centuries of learning. Although his death is necessary, killing him is like killing Socrates, Tesla, Nietzsche, Darwin, Voltaire, Pasteur, Curie etc... At the same time.

Kudos to netflix and the all the people behind this amazing series.

Lisa's interactions with Dracula was to demand he teach her how to be a doctor, marry him, and have his son.
Lisa has the biggest balls in this series.
She's up there with Eva the mother of the sons of Sparda.
Only because Lisa is, somehow, a "remnant" of Elisabetha Cronqvist.

I get it now! Alucard at that time still thought so lowly of Trevor that he thought Trevor was just seizing on that one line out of his whole speech, and being immature, not realizing Trevor was actually paying attention for their safety.

I actually didn't hear what alucard was saying when i first watched this (i heard but couldn't make out the words) but it makes so much sense now! God i love when little details are added

2:45 the end of that speech is haunting. I only started watching this show cause I thought the lines from Death were funny in the clips I've seen but after just watching this episode it's blowing my expectations. It's dark yet crafty and that entire speech is really haunting.
Just realised this is the directors favourite scene, so true. Maybe that's why they used that haunting "That he did it all for love" for the 7th episode title
It's really well written. You can almost see the empty world before your eyes, and feel the void.
I guess this makes the funny scenes even more unexpected

Hearing alucard explain in great detail what Dracula vision of a world without humans is the single most bone chilling monolog I've ever encountered, truly artful
The dialogue in Castlevania never ceases to stun me. Well written, crafted. The kind only seen in books. And to top it off, the emotion and life in each scene, beautiful.
one reason among many is that its written at a higher reading level than most other shows now. More complex language and structure, more grace in its construction.

Alucard mentioning that Dracula drew plans to darken the clouds and draw shrouds across the sky with flying is a very odd parallel with the matrix, and how to cut off the machines, humanity did the same thing. There’s a scene in Animatrix where they show how they did that, and it’s word for word exactly what Alucard described in Dracula’s plans

Such an amazing, in depth and beautiful scene. It's one of my favorites : it's chilling (that monologue at the end !), riveting and beautifully animated. I also love how it's the first time the trio really listens to one another and the way Alucard shares his memories - such a sad story.

And Dracula in his castle, his revenge so horribly complete that there is nothing left to do but look out over a world without art or memory or laughter and know that he did his work well. That he did it all for love.

This was a literary masterpiece. Every hue of humanity was visible and though some seemed identical they eventually proved to be very different.

This voice actor has quite a terrifyingly soothing voice.
If Dracula was not so Suicidal he would have been able to easily succeed in taking over the world.
He basically did. I mean he managed to collect all the knowledge in the world. He was already the leader of his race. He just wasn't interested in showing off his power anymore. Why bother playing with insects because that's what humans were to him. Did you notice how he refers to the people as peasants when talking to Lisa. Not livestock or animals but peasants. It gives you the feeling he's some sort of royalty to the humans. It's further proved when he said how he massacred the merchants. They disrespected him. They didn't try to kill him or fight him. They questioned his authority and power.
@@martingeorgiev9272 For the first point I do think he was referring to peasants as peasants and not all humans as peasants. Lisa said that she was from the village of Lupu(most likely a peasant herself) who wants to be a doctor and said she would show him how to interact with people and travel to which he assumes she means interacting with peasants and traveling by foot like them.
As for your second point we don't know what the merchants did and all we know is that they disrespected him by breaking some sort of trust and agreement between them and the merchants were shown to be vain as they went to save their money first above all else.
If he was not so suicidal he never would’ve tried.
But if vampires got tired of his rule they would turn on him,wanting the power for themselves.
@@galvinstanley3235 You seem to be misunderstanding something. Dracula wasn't in charge because the other vampires liked him. He ruled because he could kill all of them if he wanted to. They obey him because they fear him.
Castlevania: Nocturne has a lot to live up to the original I love the banter between Trevor Sypha, and Alucard from both Trevor and Alucard shitting on each other is like there family and friends.
I hope Dracula comes back in season 4 and STAYS! His death literally tugged on the heart strings

In Castlevania, Dracula comes back again and again but looses a bit of his humanity after every resurrection.
The dialogues and voicelines in this show was sprectacular. It was more fun to listen to their speech than watching their fights.

Without experience or knowledge humans will continue making mistakes. A lot of em.
But in return we continue to learn, and grow and develop our skills to the point of almost perfection.
Like a toddle who cant stuff his own food right into his mouth will soon use a silver spoon to not leave a trace of food on his face like back then.
But by crazy mistakes like war, killing, all those crimes ehhh those are just... inevitable when humans become mad from power and not know how to use it properly
If you think about it, in terms of how long humanity has existed in it's current form (between 50,000 and 100,000 years), we are still a relatively young race. We are just now cracking the secret to space travel and are only in the planning stages of colonizing Mars and other possible habitat planets. There are still illnesses and diseases that we don't have a cure for. And we are still dealing with things like racism, sexism, and other forms of tribalism. But we've still come a long way as opposed to how life was run during the Middle Ages. Even the Taliban, with all their cruelty, don't consider things like burning at the stake or even classic stoning when 'punishing' people because they know it's cruel. Instead, they go for simple shot to the head or hanging/decapitation: it's quick and painless.
Humanity has to make mistakes otherwise we won't learn and improve ourselves. If there's no desire for change, we become stagnant and wanderless.

I find it weird and funny that they call it the old science and knowledge that we humans forgot. Im pretty sure that humans wouldn't forget about lightbulbs and teleporters and life saving medicine
Why not? Humans have destroyed (and then forgetten) all forms of knowledge while using the excuse that it's "unholy" ever since we started to believe in religion. New ideas have always been hated by humamity.
Romans made steam engines as early as 1st century, you know. They don't have any use of it and only see it as a wonder object. You underestimating what would when the complex connections of labor that supports the very society we live in starts to fall apart, When Wars, Famine, and plagues end the current era and a new dark age begins. You might know how to make lightbulbs and generators to power them, But do you know where to gather resources needed? Do you know how to smelt them into the parts you need? Heck do even have the time and energy to do all of that when instead you can gather more food?
I mean, something as basic as the assembly line has been invented, forgotten, and reinvented at least three separate times. First time Carthage, Second time Venice, Third time Ford Motors. That's not even counting China or the Indian subcontinent who probably had similar ideas.
But we have, and are. We are constantly at war with the knowledge we cultivate because if someone else discovered it and we didn't, we ruin it and suffer rather than share and make the world better. For an anime about vampires they are right.

That was the plan
Draculas plan was one big murder suicide, he didn't want any humans left, not even for good food, his actual plan was to have his followers consume animal blood for the rest of time.

Doesn't work like that. Humans can't replenish their bodies blood count in a day. It takes humans at least a week to fully recover their blood to fill capacity. It's why blood donation organizations like the Red Cross tell people that if they want to donate frequently, they have to give at least a week between each donation.
Besides, Dracula wanted all humans to die because he wanted to die. Basically 'Im going to take as many as I can with me'.
Dracula wants EVERYONE to die. Vampires included.
Let me just say i love to new Castelvania.
But after all the heartbreak Alucard has had to endure, it would of been nice to continue the original series showing Alucard finally getting happiness.
With a wife and children, but still hunting night creatures.
