- Where can I get vampirism IRL though? I need this more than money O_O
You don't need a job to pay bills if you're too immortal for bills!
Castlevania belongs to Netflix.
_"Forty of them had offended me. At the time, I saw no reason to harm anybody other than those forty."_
Proof that Dracula was equal parts bloodthirsty and lenient during his attack.
Indeed. In the end of the massacre Dracula impaled his enemies that’s how Dracula gets the name Vlad the Impaler Vlad Tepes, Dracula.
I thought he said "defended" and that he only left 40 people alive
They should've never offended him and look where that got them; ripped to pieces and eaten, I be too scared to offend him and I wouldn't want him coming after me.
I absolutely love that they added the historic detail of the men being impaled, just like Vlad The Impaler, more merciful though, everyone would've been up there if it was Vlad III.
And still alive. Poor souls.
I'd rather nutshot him and get my throat ripped out immediately.
@@dustinmaxwell259 saaaame what a way to go 💀💀
Well this was based on one of the real Drac's massacres
Psychopath
And was so this what to do suck netflix
For anyone wondering about the alleged offense of the merchants, they’d collectively sent Dracula 1,367 letters in an effort to reach him about his car’s extended warranty.
💀
God i hate those
Vlad did the right thing
They got what was coming to them.
And called him in his magic mirror constantly
If I see a 7-9 foot tall cloaked man jump off a flaming roof in front of me, I'm sheathing my sword, turning on my heel, and waltzing off in the opposite direction.
Don't get paid enough to handle that sort of nonsense, thank you.
I would had ran
@@Warlady21 Never run from an immortal vampire. It only draws their attention.

@@mattkennedy6115 that's fucked up
The scary part about this is this was Dracula in his prime. The fight with Trevor, Alucard, and Sypha he was starving, didn’t care for his life, and they still struggled against him.
Well he would've won that fight had he not gotten all emotional about Alucard's room so even in his weakened state he still wins
Yeah I like how you put that way hellyeah
If I'm not mistaken I believe this segment is inspired by the real Vlad III Tepes "Dracula", who in a fit of rage at the merchants of a town called Brasov, killed 40 merchants and several other members of the town for defying him, impaling many on stakes, hence his moniker "the Impaler" amidst other instances where he did that
Your right. That is Brasov...
Wait someone actually did this in the 14th century?
@@zackattackr.p.g yep, as I said above look up the story of Vlad III Tepes "Dracula" of Wallachia, the guy had such a bloodthirsty streak
He impaled the merchants of Brasov alongside their families
When the Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II I believe invaded Wallachia at the head of his army, they were unnerved and made scared by the "Forest of points" they encountered: Vlad/Dracula had impaled hundreds if not thousands of Ottoman soldiers and civilians to scare the enemy. Early psychological warfare, made somewhat worse because we have accounts that Vlad enjoyed staking people
What a guy
@@zackattackr.p.g The events of the show all have historical parallels.
yep, don't fuck with Romanians
Now I can see why so many vampires say he’s changed, he’s a completely different person from the Dracula we know. His attack on the village was so calculated that the fight was done in just a couple of days-makes you wonder had he been the same person would he have ended the current war in just a couple of weeks
He literally starving himself half dead before Trevor even reach him and only die because he allowed Alucard to kill him lol.
Man that cape must take 3 cycles to wash
It's sooo freaking huge
No dirt or blood would dare soil Dracula's cloak.
It's "fabric" just might be from a "parallel universe".
Remember those that offend us, even afterwards
It seems like Dracula makes the effort to see to it the wives and children of the merchants are out before he begins his slaughter, like he wants to avoid killing the innocent.
I like that.
Forgetting he inflicted the unforgettable trauma of seeing the drained corpses of their loved ones impaled and defiled in the ashes of their former homes.
'There are no innocents, not anymore'
- Dracula
As he said, He saw it only to harm does that disrespected him and whenever it was a verbal or in other matter like trying to fool him with poor trading. As he planned it out before hand how to deal with the merchant. He might seen the merchant doesn't care about his beloved child or wife and thus not going after them.
It might been total different if the merchant loved his child and wife by not going for the values and sending them first out to die.
Dracula might killed everyone except the merchant if he had truly loved them by taking everything he hold dear.
@@doibantikov2486Dracula forgetting that psychic damage exist
I like that Dracula didn't massacre the entire village, only the me who dissed him. Dude knows that a little restraint in dispensing your law goes a long way to sending a message.
He only disposed of the 40 merchants and there guard he spared everyone else he needed witnesses to see the deed and learn the lesson
Let's face it, the only time Dracula loses a fight is if he actually wants to die.
Hell yea
Or if he is going against a Belmont.
Factssss. It really was the world's longest suicide note
@@heavykyio A Belmont literally was no match for even a depressed and blood-deprived Dracula, even with the help of a half vampire and a mage. By video game lore the old belmont stands a good chance, but by this anime series lore there are no Belmonts who can defeat Dracula alone.
The animation is so good...😭 For example, they're really able to convey just how casually yet elegantly he can just...reach out and flick off somebody's head.

But then later we see the vampires slam through the wall of houses to kill the people inside.
@@TimberlakeTigerGirl that is true, perhaps it's just far more important in vampire culture then? Or Dracula himself is just very polite.

We see Dracula in 3 fights in this series:
1) in the pilot against Alucard, very brief
2) here, which is less of a fight and more of an absolute slaughter
3) against Alucard, Sypha, and Trevor, in which he was both weakened and definitely was winning
This dude was an absolute beast. The most criminal thing about this show is that they never gave him a worthy opponent to fight at full strength. God I wish he would’ve come back sooner in S4 and fucked up Carmilla’s little empire.
At full strength he'd wipe out the entire castle with the trio in it if he have to
If he wasn't starved and depressed as fuck he'd have succeeded Carmilla's plan no doubt
He only lost because he realized he didn't want to destroy Lisa's legacy
Im glad to have seen this comment bcs i soo SOOOOOO WISH HE WOULD'VE RUINED CARMILLAS DAY after her bullshit scheming thinking she can overthrow fucking dracula I couldn't stand her lmao
I think the point was that there WAS no worthy opponent for Dracula. Not Death, Not Camilla, and not even Alucard,Sypha and Trevor. The only reason why he was defeated was because he LET Alucard kill him when he realized how far he was gone.
How can you challenge an opponent that is weakened, depressed, Is in opposition with practically the whole world, distrusted by most of his generals and is STILL is a near unstoppable threat?
TBH, For someone as RIDICULOUSLY powerful as he is, he barely does anything to them. Their deaths were at the level of that of human vs human. Really shows you this is as "nice" as Dracula gets lol

Dracula wanted them so bad that he didn't even wait till the sun was all the way down.
Not just that, he knew he'd only need a fraction of his power to massacre all of them so there was no need for total nightfall. In reality he probably could have struck them down at high noon and have been fine, but his servants would have been obliterated by the sun.
Given the time period, he likely put those women and children in a horrible position. Where they would need to whore themselves out to make ends meet.
Imagine if THIS Dracula would've fought that final battle. Smh he would've eaten Trevor and Sypha alive, shat them out, then used Alucard for toilet paper.
My man was so op, he almost destroyed them and just sort of gave up at 1% power

I love how him impaling them paid homage to the fact that Vlad The Impaler inspired Dracula. very nice detail.
In the show his name was Vlad “Dracula” Tepes.
Vlad the Impaler did NOT, in fact, inspire Dracula. It's a common misconception borne of the fact the Count used the patronymic that Vlad the Impaler used; the reason for his doing so was because Bram Stoker read the name "Dracula" in a biased and inaccurate book about the history of Romania, thought it sounded cool, and used it in place of the name he was originally using for his vampire count: "Count Wampyr."
In most versions of Dracula I think he actually was Vlad “The Impaler” Tepes
@@gigachad9016 But not the original version.
@@gigachad9016 Yes most versions, but not the original. In most current depictions of Dracula have him weak or dying from sunlight, but that's not in the original novel or even the original centuries old mythologies involving vampires. He could in fact just walk in daylight, but he commits his crimes at night since it's more practical.
Vampire's are not supposed to be weak to sunlight, but the modern mythology thanks to the first successful films made that the new lore. The same goes with lots of interpretations for the vampires, werewolves, and zombies in general thanks to modern pop culture.

I still don't understand why the Men didn't give their valuables to their wife and children when they had them leave town.
Greed makes people do weird choices sometimes
It's almost like the plot is stupid
The place was on fire so they sent their wives and children out first so to not get caught in the fire. After that was settled they figured they had time to focus on getting their material valuables
Well, they're too greedy that they might have thought that their wives will run away with it and money is Soo important to them
probably the weight of the gold and jewelry would make them take longer to get out of town, potentially causing the death of their wives and children.
Dracula should have actually done that to the bishops who murderers his wife and be done with his problem so the whole world won’t have to suffer because of his depression.
Well that would be considered mercy. Plus he did gave him a year and they did threw a party and laughed at his wife’s death
Maybe he intentionally left them as desert, so that he can maintain his rage toward humanity.
He was angry toward the bishop and that no one helped her.
Aldo, blue fangs did it for him
It wasnt so much the person that killed her that was the issue, it was the fact that everyone stood by and watched even cheered while they were burning an innocent woman that just wanted the best for humanity.
Which kinda proved him right in a sense to think humans are a pest, which needed to be exterminated. But i think over time he saw that some humans were redeemable, just like his wife. But just because there are a couple cute rats, that doesnt mean the vermin as a whole shouldnt be eradicated.
But by this time he just was sad and didnt care anymore, lost his passion for it. So he just kinda followed the loose plan but didnt care anymore.
he should just found another wife. trust in the variables
Vlad Dracula Tepes just out here living his best life.
Thats actually very merciful as the real dracula would have done just enough so it doesnt kill you. You have a giant wooden pole up your butt to the chest weaving across vital organs. You would die from exposure and infection taking long and cruel days.

Luckily, Lisa made him soft but also took his punishment
Really? Because there's a lot of people who wish this Dracula was real to wipe out the elites and everyone whose recklessly destroying the planet due to pollution. And of course get rid of the religious nut cases.
At least before Lisa was killed, Dracula didn't randomly kill innocents, just those who wronged him.
but they were the instigators?
lisa is proof that humans treated him wrong up until that point
when they dont he shares his power and knowledge with them
@@TimberlakeTigerGirlWhat is a “religious nut case”😂
See, THIS I can get behind, even if it is admittedly gruesome and still evil. He was disrespected by 40 men, so he killed _those 40._ Not their wives, nor their children, just them. It sends the message that you do not fuck with Dracula, because it is tantamount to suicide. He commands respect, but there is no sense that he is going around oppressing people. If anything, his castle was a sort of haven for the oppressed and weird, given that they were open to the dark arts and had talent. People would keep being stupid enough to march up to his castle and challenge him like they were some big hero, so onto the pikes they went. Don't jump into the death trap and lo and behold, you won't die!
Maybe so but even just killing them without warning creates problems. Imagine one of the merchants sons or daughters have no idea that their father was up to some dirty business. All they know is that a monster took their father away and brutally murdered him. What do you think will sit in the back of the child's mind especially as they get older? They'll want justice/revenge and so start a Belmont like family tradition where each descendant has to try to find Dracula and kill him.
Imagine if the one who ratted Lisa to the church was in fact a descendant of one of those men. And they figured having her killed in a horrible way (burned at the stake) would be their way of getting revenge. By making Dracula feel the pain their family felt when he killed their family patriarch at the time? Whether they anticipated him going crazy and murdering everyone is beside the point.
Hatred only breeds more hatred and the cycle has to stop somewhere.
@@TimberlakeTigerGirl It would be fine if Dracula kept an iron fist over this kingdom instead of retreating into his castle and living like an antisocial hermit. He could've being a philosopher king, an attentive God, who will not tolerate any disobedience, but essentially brings prosperity, meaning and enlightenment. A lot of things wouldn't have happen if Dracula paid more attention to the outside world instead of solely focusing on his feelings. Violence is too, an essential tool to someone who wields a power, one can simply fail to utilize it correctly. Wrongly used violence creates cycle of violence. Wisely and coldly wielded one ends it
If a man has fangs and claws its probably best not to piss him off...
You don't fuck with Dracula... Unless you're a Belmont.
It doesn't really and no offense it doesn't make sense, then again dracula has always had an ego boost, him treating humans like cattle is kinda what got him here in the first place
Dracula isn't so bad, all he did was kill some rich a-holes and those who attacked him.
Ikr
Dunno if im wrong, but didnt he just say the merchants went back to gather their most valuable stuff. How else are they gonna make a living my guy
@@darrenpaxton8913 By not disrespectin' Dracula, that's how. Besides the beings of hell are too hot not to root for, Did you see Blue Fangs, Yummy
@@Barry-rc5nf I mean just because they're from Hell doesn't mean they don't deserver sympathy.
Yes. Dracula was doing society a favor by slaughtering the scum of the Earth.
Dracula was a real butcher back in the day.
Commonly known as Vlad the Impaler. Sure sounds like a friendly guy.
So, I was just browsing through RUclips and just ran into this and,
I don’t know if I’m traumatized or satisfied
Why not both?
Imagine if Dracula decided to punch one of them in the nuts
😂😂😂😂😂😂
“This isn’t a bar fight, show some class”
Medieval family planning. Dracula style.
Goodbye Nuts.
I love the way Drac moves
Drake the rapper 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I always go back to this scene. The animation is incredibly
Can't wait to see him in dbd
Same m8
Better than that fucking baldy vecna
whats dbd
@@crappyaccount dead by daylight
and he looks so cool !
makes me wonder WHAT THE HELL DID THEY DO?
They set their own village on fire and hurt a lot of people offending Vlad.
They kept trying to get him to invest in NFTs 😂
I figured that it was possibly some sort of attack on his castle. Dracula was something of a recluse in the series before Lisa. Either that or possibly he demanded blood from the village fully aware that he was a vampire and turned there nose up to him.
The sold him a fake iPad Pro that broke down the first day.
They din't like his mustache.
He attacked this town because they attacked Alucard. His son when he was a little boy
Yea yea
Because they are animals in reality they treated not equal
Well technically this is long before Alucard was born and long before he met Lisa
Bullshit
Where'd you get it from? I don't think his wife would've allowed him to do this. She was still alive when Alucard was a boy.
I noticed something. I've only seen TWO men get bit by vampires in the Castlevania series!
Dracula: Take him to Brazil 1:45
💀💀💀💀💀💀
Lmao
😭😭
Noooooo
💀💀💀
I forgot how gruesome season 2 was
"Reach for my neck, you'll get turned into an example
Y'all gotta stop playin' with me, man"
- Dracula Vlad Tepes
The merchants thought they were big shots, but Dracula was flipping bricks for Mansa Musa before they even became a type 1 civilization
I want to see what these merchants did to piss him off so much
So would I! Unfortunately he doesn't say :( Just that "40" disrespected him.
Probably didn't want to pay their taxes
*literally walked into his castle with muddy boots*
They didn't invite him to their tea party... They honestly deserve it.
@@domquixote2780 It's Dracula, not Maleficient.
Back in the good old days eh, Dracula.
I would've been like F*** that treasure im out!!
Fr it ain't worth it at that point
@@vexlang378exactly 💯
Dang he literally toying with them and his foot soldiers are basically there to just clean up and eat after him
Drac was so real for that
"I only killed 40"
What about the hundred that died in the fire?
"The fire killed them, not me" - Dracula probably
dracula- its free real estate

That's one supernatural cape! It cant be burned and it grows long as he runs. Cant even get dirty too 🤔😝
I only have one question what did they do to make him so mad
They were talking smack about him, apparently.
They wrote the medieval version of twilight
What every other lump of shit does, they spouted shit thinking him a regular common man not knowing the master was in their midst…now it’s too late 😈
They disrespected him and insulted him.
@@ganymede8257 lmfao for some reason I think that's exactly what happened. Even Dracula hates twilight 😂😂
I would like to point out that all dracula did to kill the first guy was flick his wrist.
Notice how he spared the women and children, goes to show that most of his anger is pointed towards men
pretty sure most of his anger goes towards anyone that disrespects him lol
His wrath is pointed to those deserving. their wives and children did nothing to offend Dracula so he had no real reason to slaughter them
Professionals have standards
@@goose9245 True dat.
@@goose9245 no his anger\hatred was towards the (human race) not the males only so sparing the women and children doesnot make any since from his stand point in this scene.
All things considered that was fair
Perfect. It was perfect down to the last minute details
I… don’t remember this scene…! Holy shit…!
Same 💀
Neither do I. I’m wondering when it was?
His reign of terror began after his wife's(Lisa) persecution by being burnt alive 🔥...she begged him(Dracula) to forgive them for they do not know what they do! But his hatred for Mankind took the toll that he wanted those who were responsible to pay the price for her death.
Not just those responsible, but everyone there.
I'm sorry, but Drac is hella attractive at 1:20 and the brutal carnage of this scene will not change my mind.
down horrendous lol
@Mercury Rises oof
The man had class and style, I dont blame you lol
yeah, Drac is hot lmao.
It enhances it if anything
me and the boys when people get disrespectful
