They must had made way more than that.
Still day two, the log brace went for 5-6m and the blueprints for nearly 30m. Just regularly playing and woodcutting at one spot made you almost 3k bark/hour, which translated to over 5m gp/hour.
The bots must had made at least 3 times the amount by worldhopping
1 hour did NOT make 3k bark an hour. Stop lying.
@@dranideyeah I was doing every event as well and I got no where near 3k an hour
@@GodSpawn I was making 3k an hour by world hopping using a twitch stream
@@GodSpawn is your channel name same name ig? I’f so I think your in my clan lol
World hopping to events you can definitely get 3k an hour
Quick note: It could have been hotfixed because of bots, but if you log into a world with an event already going on, you cannot gain the rewards from that event.
At this point I think Trident is running ALL the big bot farms. If he is still working for them they are all corrupt like Arc Survival.
That would be grievous considering how janky their potato-servers are lol DC and come back into the same world but can’t do your own event you triggered 😅
@@onewingedgaming it's not like you dc often haven't DC in weeks and no one would care that much about a WC event 😆🤣
@@MariusNinjai oh they upgraded their servers? I haven’t played in about a year or two so I’m kinda out of date 😂
A refined bot this soon after release does make it hard to think otherwise
it's sad that anytime Jagex make engaging and rewarding content it's exploited so quickly. hope it doesn't discourage them from making more content like this in future, since the forestry update has been really enjoyable so far
the fact they are still trying with bounty hunter and deadman gives me hope they wont, if bots could ruin the game i dont think it would have lasted this long
@@HappyDragneels_page Bots 100% can ruin players experience. I refuse to play main game as bots run the economy. With that I’m FORCED to play as an Ironman as I don’t see main game worth grinding. It’s not worth my time.
@@lemoncake9385 FORCED to play ironman because main game is LIDDERRRLY UNPLAYABLE. lmao surely youre meming, the game would be better without them but you can never 100% get rid of them and you can totally play around them, u make less money grinding bosses but its also much cheaper for you to skill. it changes certain aspects of the game but considering theres a whole lotta mains still playing kinda invalidates your point.
some people just prefer ironman nothin wrong with that, but you werent FoRcEd to play lul. u can play a main like an iron and get drops yourself you just have the option to trade. but then you wouldnt be able to tell everyone about your shiny helmet right
is it just me or is it jaw dropping that jagex didn't see this coming? they know bots are a problem so why would they make something so easily exploitable? i don't get it
I see the sarcasm you used there. Using the word engaging instead of any😂
For the roots event, you can make roughly 1 clover insignia per event which on release sold for about 200k each *270 bots is roughly 54m-55m per event .. and if you say they were finding a new event every 2 minutes... they were making insane gp
at least the bots are gay 🤡
The root event took the longest to spawn on launch. It was like once an hour it felt like. Also those prices crashed really fast
The blueprints sold for 30m and log brace or whatever it was called was 5m
@@_barncatno u
so about 1.5b an hour?? wtf x'D... idk how jagex didn't see that coming.
Hear me out… the items in the shop should of been untradeable -_-
Agreed. My biggest grievance about forestry
Facts Jager new that this would happen lol
Should have*
Agreed
yeah
It's something like this that's genuinely cool for the community and gathering people to skill together. It's just also a perfect example of how one, or 200+ bad apples can ruin it for the rest
Nothing gets me harder than a sirpugger video two days in a row
I am rock solid right now, "Stiffed up" If you will.
These last 3-4 days around 1-4am I've been seeing 3-5 bots wearing range gear and snakeskin helms. They teleport as soon as you attack... All around level 75-87 at revenant orcs. Around level 25-27 wilderness.. on multiple worlds... So 3-5 per world all running at once adds up to a lot of bots... Every world I hopped to they where there.... Might be worth checking out?? Love your vids! Keep it up 🤘💪
A timezone would help. You can convert yours to a random other one to avoid doxxing yourself at all
You must not visit the revs often. The bots are literally there 24/7 in every section. I do agree it should be looked into. They will pray perfectly based on the weapon you wield and also stop eating if they run low on restore pots to avoid getting smited.
Yeah these bots have been here for a while. I made a level 75 pure and in the last 2 weeks, I’ve pked over 100m at rev caves. They’re incredibly easy to kill if you know how.
(how are you playing a 25 yr old java browser mmo on pvp worlds at 1-4am often enough to know this)
Thanks Steven. Thank You for the crazy Steven bots roaming in W301, wreaking havoc.
>spend six months making woodcutting random events
>doesnt even think about the most obvious ways it might be broken
idk what jagex is doing in there, maybe everyone who knew how to work on the game quit or something
They chose not to stop these bots for whatever reason
Money
I enjoy how you showcase Jagex's epic failures in every video.
it's good to document before updates
Failure or business opportunities?
Yeah they definitely failing claiming $7 from each bot for their bond 😂😂😂
There’s really nothing they can do about it.
How exactly is this a failure? The forestry update so far has been a massive success, lots of people who never would skill outside of getting some requirements, are skilling. And they’re enjoying it.
Yeah the bots come along and do their thing but how does that make forestry less of a success?
It’s really cool that you can have hundreds of players at the same spot skilling, without them negatively impacting each others experiences. And a side effect of that is bots will exploit it, it’s inevitable, Bots are already doing this in every mini game so it’s nothing new here. Maybe this is the most exploitable as it has 0 requirements, so I suspect jagex will add a prerequisite quest to unlock forestry to reduce the effect of bots.
I think this is a multibox client not a botscript, its easy to setup them to disperse/hop to single world all at the same time with a multibox, it would explain why they are all on the same tile aswell
Agreed!
Hear me out. Hire someone to ban bots.
Stella needs a job
I'd rather not. Because then you get those power tripping p mods back in the day.
Theres too many to manually ban. Jagex management needs to take out their wallet and hire a specialist at 100k+pounds/yr to code more bot detection.
@@TangibleGoods no one would hire that waste of space
These mfers really had a one man team. Insane! They love being used like a fleshlight, they need to drop half of there team and use them for bots or hire someone else cuz damn they fucking suck
Thank you for your service Pugger♥️
2:57 I think the reason they skip any event but the roots one is that the other events are bugged if there are too many players doing it and only a few of the players get the reward at the end
It's bounty hunter all over again... But for skilling. The rewards need to be high but untradable. Everytime they make updates with tradable items bot farms are created. Jagex killing the game over and over again.
Maybe Jagex needs to think like a botter before releasing something. Could've seen this coming from miles away. People with huge bot farms have like 1k back up accounts or just run an account script and get 100+ accounts in 10 minutes. Other than that it's hard to counter the bots when they just suicide bot everything.
Just saw a bunch of level 3s with forestry gear and 58 agility. Guessing they are getting ready to go to the yew and magic tree on the other side of the underground pass next to the elf tracker.
I believe I've found one happening right now on world 303 at the maple trees behind the bank in camlot, doing the same thing as you've shown logging in and logging out every few seconds
Imagine making the most botted skill in rs history have essentially a mini game that prints money from the shop
I think only way to prevent this forestry bot is only the events occurred specific tree locations with the tree symbol icons. Then surround few tiles from the icon would trigger the events.
the select few can feel this out on the go like me. i saw this coming, see it coming every time.
Image someone from jagex is designing this new woodcutting and has bots of his own making all this gp.
Super quick for someone to have a insane method.
imo the problem is that the rewards are insta tradeables, they should be untradeables and after craft the item sell
why else would they make an update that only bots benefit from?
Suliucep is the ONLY thing that is chopped by legitimate players from 65-90 wc, yet they buffed all the bot-trees.
Thanks Steve! Doing Saradomin's work
At the lowest yesterday the log brace sold for around 3m, 1k per anima bark, this would almost 5x the estimated gp in this video. Crazy money!
There should be a harsher login penalty, and maybe the events would occur more often in locations where the Friendly Forester resides
woodcutting turf wars, interesting
Add more penalties for regular players because of bots, like tele timer in rev cave, instead of fixing the issues. 👌🏻🤢
@@runescapeiwatchvids Those penalties would be addressing the issues created by the bots. If it affects bots it also affects regular players. What action will directly be "fixing the issues" that singularly and only affects bots, with no "penalty" for regular players?
I've been playing this game for 22 years, I'd be interested in your suggestions that fix the issues and don't impact players at all. Clearly Jagex need to see it!
Botters are obviously run by players. Players whose choices need to be mitigated. If bots use something that regular players also do, there's not always a way to tune it so that bots can't profit from that activity far more than a regular human being. I'd rather that activity be a little less rewarding at the benefit of destroying bots.
@@runescapeiwatchvids Regular players don't need to be constantly world hopping while woodcutting anyways
@@shrub8644 But ironman gathering stuff from shops do! And how would you spot the difference?
Tinfoil hat theory: I think at this point, one of the main reasons runescape still exists is because it's an elaborate research project & simple datapoint about botting and scripter behavior in MMOs
I've watched enough sirpugger video that i'm now excited to see what solutions coders come up with next. it's almost like a public competition
More like a great way to RWT.
Assuming there are 500 bots. That’s $4000 worth of bonds. If they’re making 200-400m an hour. It would take them half a day to pay it back. And if they’re working nonstop, unbanned, for the lifetime of their bond each bot with make 27x it’s worth. This assumes the prices don’t change.
Even cheaper than a bond is if they are using twitch prime accounts
I bonded my pure from your last revs video. I can say I haven't seen a bot here in a few days.
give this man props for pronouncing ardougne correctly
i will always pronounce it how slayermusic pronounces it
They could have locked it behind the woodcutting guild this way bots had to get 60 wc and 75 hosidius favour and they would all be in the same place
If the only problem was that they overcrowd places, something like this might work. But they adversely affect the economy for everyone everywhere, f2p or p2p.
Honestly, hats off to the bot makers. Immaculate logistics behind such a project
Joined a root cc day one and I got 3-4 bark an hour so I could only imagine how much they made
Im convinced that these bot farms are made by jagex themselves lol.
Why aren’t trusted players like sir pugger not given a new kind of player moderator status with power to give temporary bans until jagex can investigate?
then no one would tip him off
@@spawnpktomhanks6865 tibfoil hat idea but, sir pugger is actually a botting mastermind that documents his own bot farms into video for double revenue. Trust
giving players that privilege is a recipe for disaster and puts a target on their account from black market users to defeat competition.
calm down
i just started back playing osrs today. and while woodcutting maples behind the camelot bank ive seen multiple lvl 3s log in and chop trees for a few seconds before logging out. they all log in at the same time and log out at the same time aswell. hmmmmm
Simple fix would be make it like loot piles where it takes 60 seconds roughly before ground items appear after hopping
The event where you pollinate flowers lasts for several minutes. So unless it was a pretty long timer they would probably just switch to doing that one.
@@bebe8090 Not too sure for that but no matter what we will have bots exploiting things
It's really sad to see bots ruining an incredible game. It does baffle me a little bit that just about every other mmorpg that exists today doesn't have 1% of the bot problem that OSRS has.
at least the bots are gay 🤡
It's because the game is more mechanically simple
More and more mmo's are experiencing the same problem. Look at world of warcraft, lost ark, New world. Invested with bots too. It's not just osrs anymore unfortunately.
It's a game that you can play by just picking parts of the screen. Nothing else needed
Jagex are doing a good enough job destroying it themselves. Bots have always been a problem.
these bots are unstoppable at this point lol
There are bots at wilderness bosses/revs even :*(
Definitely stoppable. They just don’t stop them.
If the community didn’t buy gold…
just not enough players to remove all bots, dead game if they do, i remember days when soul wars were active in the real runescape, back then they started bot nuked and suddenly you couldn't play this minigame anymore
@@volgran1683 what a stupid take
Damn! Quick upload.
I wonder if a modified twitch prime membership for osrs like, you can only trade in the first 1 month if you buy membership, or give their items a special ID to track their activities.
What a great new skill and all around addition to Runescape. I'm sure this was well thought out and Jagex has a grand solution as always.

Bots keep the game alive my friend
@@Tim82621 the economy all people use is influenced. I'm no expert on that, but prices change a lot every day. More cash inflow means higher inflation if I remember my economics right.

When estimating the GP per hour. (I did not check this on the wiki, just assuming) - isn't it WC level dependent. You tested how much you could get on a maxed main, 99wc. Surely these level 3 new fresh bots would have maybe 15-40WC?
Since your videos about bots really started taking off I never had an osrs Alt. When I played rs2 into rs3 back years ago I had tons of alts, but since maining osrs I had just the main account. Due to you I've made a few alts of various builds to kill wildy bots and it actually turned me into a pvp lover and pker and not too shitty of one after some practice.
i usd to be fully PvM, then quit, I came back to the game with the wildy bosses update, and have tried pking to rebuild.
It refreshed my love for the game, trying it in a completely different style. Highly recommend
@SkizVids oh I love the new wildy bosses. Aside from the bots and finding ways to kill them it's good content. I'm looking forward to this so called wildy expansion in the works.
Dude, how do you train or learn? I am so bad at pk but I want to learn
@joseromanfuenmayor4364 lms and just staying to fight pkers. You're going to dye alot but just get into lms for a few weeks and go fight people in the wildy.
Gentle reminder the rewards are vastly inflated currently as the rewards are very new and jagex have already done a hot fix to weaken this farm I doubt that in the next month there are going to be this many bots
Perhaps events could cap out how many players can gain from it, the obvious grief to that is someone starting it to count to the cap then not doing anything so with that in mind perhaps it could be some fix if its still gonna be random.
Instead of starting and stopping recording, have you considered keeping a constantly rolling recording of the last 20-30 minutes, deleting it as it records until you press a hotkey to save.
Could save you from missing anything at all, I use it all the time with Nvidia Shadowplay but there is likely another option for non-Nvidia
OBS works great for this too
@@puff7145yeah obs
Insane how quickly and efficiently the bot owner(s) can move to capitalise on something like this!
I’m so happy for them. Jagex gets their bond money, bots get to sell their gold, players get items for cheaper. Triple win 😂🎉
It actually is really impressive how fast they acted.
And it shows that combating bots by banning them or making content more annoying to engage with is impossible, as bots get developed and created at a rate that’s impossible to keep up with.
at least the bots are gay 🤡
Imagine - the developers anticipated this and are either working with people that run scripts or running the scripts themselves
@@OBRIZZLEwhy would developers bot their own game? Lol
bots are running through the obstacle pipe in taverly dungeonand running to the fire obelisk

Just force every player to do a CAPTCHA image for every single time they perform any action in the game. easy solution to bots.
Bots can solve most captchas and just outsource the rest. Not a solution plus it's a horrible experience for legit players
This was one of the first things they tried to counter bots back in runescape classic. It didn't work and just annoyed real players.
bots and realworld trading is a losing battle forever in osrs, I stopped playing osrs years ago but I always dream for a world without bots/cheating in gaming, runescape would feel so rewarding to play, even the most mundane task like getting ashes or logs would be rewarded if no bots existed. Ironman mode just feels too restrained to me, but regular osrs is way too bloated and bots just ruin everything.
Fresh start worlds was really good because of this, I saw very few bots
Yeah, games a waste of time. I played for so long and it just even more boring
as long as ppl are motivated by profit ppl will exploit that
Fuck people always ruining everything that exists.
Y’all crazy if you don’t think Jagex are low key part of the RWT scene.
I seen a bunch of bots all over today. It’s crazy!
Thanks Steve, back to you Steve.
Content creators can't make content on GDZ PKRI's, so EoC happened to give them PvE galore. Bots are the endgame of PvE galore. You chose this
Make this guy part of the staff already...
Thank you, Steve.
A new vid already? Hell yeah
I really really can't stress enough how important it needs to be on Jagex's agenda to STOP these bot farms in their tracks.
This can't continue for much longer.
The game will be ruined within the next couple of years.
Ive seen it happen with other games that are now no longer around because of bots.
I dont want to see our game die.
PLEASE, Jagex, stop all future updates until you get these bot farms under control.
The funny thing is... people have been saying that for decades now. :)
@@TrolldamereMany people have already left, the community gets smaller by the day
been more game breaking shit than this BY FAR, osrs players are built different, and dont care if their game is ruined
@sneekyshot1 This is why i don't grind OSRS anymore, and prefer to just watch content creators put in hundreds of hours and summarize it all in 20 minutes
the game wont get ruined by bots by much because most people are skillers/green logging bosses or doing raids sure the bots make the game worse but it wont die from it not anytime soon atleast
bots ruined this game a long time ago, most new account being made are bots, I stopped playing because partly because of this as the integrity of skilling is gone and feels hollow when a bot can do better than a player, you also get PVP bots that can slap almost as well as a good player so i just feel like what's the point anymore and lastly for the most part the community in game sucks. Full of scammers. Gold selling, account services, other automatic adds, and a player base that seems to have given up
@sirpugger can you investigate the bots running into phosanis nightmare? some with over 2500 kc no other bosses killed and stats only high enough to unlock the content
Reported tons of bots yesterday in random worlds around ardougne... Incredibly interesting how fast the bot developers create these scripts after release.
Jagex: lets make BH rewards untradable amd woodcutting ones tradable since BH is obviously alot easier to bot.... lmfao
Jagex: cannot fix their autoban problem correctly
Also Jagex: is hiring for a mod position
Also Jagex: days later introduces new WC methods and game gets flooded with bots...
Simple fix: Quest lock that activity!!!
I agree with this, would be cool to have a quest to introduce the whole forestry mechanics anyways.
Thanks Steve!!
Thank you Steve!
In order for bots to mobilize that quick no way a programmer was able to make a bot that fast that was already ready to go before the update.
They can code most of it before Forestry releases. Only things you have to fill in are specific item/object names and some bug fixes and you're ready to go.
Bot scripts have come a long way, this is not 2002 buddy so you can take your "seems sus" crap and shove it.
@erickchristensen746 they would have to code how to do each event separately let alone one that looks for these event all within 24 hours from the sounds of it maybe you should pick up coding 😉
And on top of that it's nothing against jagex they shut that bot farm down quick as fuck.
@@andrewblanton8104I think you're overcomplicating the situation. This bot farm seems (to me at least) not as hard as you think. Maybe you should pick up some coding classes and get better at it.
@CMOJoker not saying it's hard saying with how quick and efficient the bot farm came out. If it was over complicating the situation a video wouldn't have had to be made less than 24 hours of release. For a bot farm to have possibly 300+ bots ready and running is a bit wild.
Make reporting bots profitable to members, somebody will make a bot busting bot, and the snake will eat itself.
And then botters make bots just to be reported by their other bots
i reported 132 mage bots today in member worlds a cow patch in lumby every world had 5-6 mages with names like xcghhdffhd123 all standing together it was crazy
Yooo new pugger video let’s go!!
It amazes me that jagex consumed runelite, the most used client in the entire game. and yet they have no bot busting implementation into the client its self. Because theres literally thousands of free player owned camera's ready to be used and detect repeat activity and botting while we're playing the game. If it's obvious to us when we see it, a plugin can be added to also detect it visually. And if for nothing it can at least alert a team of possible bot activity and have them investigate further.
This is insane... so gamebreaking, I'd roll back the servers if I was Jagex
The fact that a person can create 262 bot accounts and complete tutorial island is beyond me. There is a simple fix but Jagex refuses to take action
Simple fix?
Well there's a bot script specifically to complete tutorial island so that makes it a lot easier
U think bot makers don't have scripts to generate accounts?
They most definitely run a script that automatically generates random account names, running multiple instances, completes entire tutorial island for them, before they start running w/e other scrippts they want.
They probaably got that done in less than an hour depending on how many instances of rs they can run
So... I foresee a new bot farm incoming if u do the Crack the clue 3 u get into the varock west bank vault there is a ruby ring that spawns and u don't get kicked from vault so u can switch world and keep grabbing a full invo is like 30k took me 7 mins and u can keep going back just gotta do the emotes to get back into vault so roughly 250k a hr time the number of bots
Nice video pugger
-Steve
unwanted activity with high value rewards that can be exploited? oh boi
Make forestry members only :D This way the botters will have to pay each time they get banned, and finding botters should be easy for Jagex since this is such an obvious to spot behaviour.
They are in ardy, a members area. THey cant get rewards in f2p
at least the bots are gay 🤡
This was expected the when Jagex made the forestry rewards tradeable. Anything that can be traded for gp in OSRS, can and will be botted by gold farmers.
Thanks Steve!
My question: why hasnt Jagex already banned them all? Why does it take someone like Sir Pugger? He shouldnt even have the time to make a video like this.. they should be gone. Jagex likes bots. They make money from them.
Yep. Also, high player base and profits = looks good to the investors and owners of the company = better returns for the staff.
I bet more people tip off to sir pugger than Jagex themselves. How many people even know they have a tipoff emai?
You answered your own question, you think after 20+ years of bots they would do something
They could pay a guy a salary to ban 0.00001% of the bots per day which will get replaced instantly... or they could just not. What do you think?
@@ZenIsPowerthey have botters just found a way around it
It’s simple, just stop releasing new content and fix the content that is already available. Focusing on stopping bots is clearly the change the game has always needed but never implemented
Bots will just find another way
I hopped off the sinking ship that was this game 3 years ago. Feels justified. 😂
it should not be reduced rewards, it should be 0.
thank you steve
That's actually my botfarm. I paid someone of Fiverr who knows Java in Malaysia to make the script me and I'm running several of them in AWS at once. Your estimates of how much I made when it came out is actually low. You're not accounting for the fact that I'm running it in several places across the map and am getting the event way more than you think I am.
Tons of glory charging or other bots at fountain of rune they instantly log out but they log back in after 10 seconds to the same world
This is the kinda thing that makes me think that there needs to be an IP limitation to number of logins to the game. I know VPNs make this complicated, but seriously there's gotta be something like that.
U’d be surprised how easy it is to automate that process
I def took advantage of selling back the brace lmaooo
Steve you're a legend!!
Standard, new update, there is bound to be something jagex has missed, someone is bound to pick it apart to find exploits. This is part of RuneScape law
Thank you Steve. I love you

huge bot farms are happening all over runescape atm
the forestry bots
3/4 per world kurasks frem slayer cave
teleporting bots/alc (same bot farm) aswell varrock/catherby/GE
and more
It would be interesting to see how many bot farms Jagex could catch if they were able to check for groups of accounts that hop worlds at the same time at the same place and then watch those accounts for suspicious activity.
I feeel like Jagex should have server alerts for when a large number of avatars are stacked in a single tile or chunk checking in remote places.
They all spawn in Camelot like crazy
