I remember when this happened. When I started doing some research and found out it was carbon fiber I couldn’t believe it. I have been fascinated by the Titanic since childhood but unless that submersible was certified and made of steel, I don’t think I would have gone down there.
He sounds like he wants to say things that are uncomfortable and is nervous. He's not sure of saying things, but, he is under oath. Personally, I wouldn't go anywhere in a vessel of this type; I would be claustrophobic and panic.
I don't know why anybody wants to go there; there are existing documentaries which show better views with no risk to me in my armchair and briefly pausing my viewing to go and get a cup of tea before proceeding. It's just bragging rights ! If I were in that vessel I'd have to have a change of underwear immediately available.
