I was hoping that there would be some examples of the best shoes to wear with an AFO. Athletic type mainly (this person is young and is in physical therapy and also wears sneakers the majority of the time) and also, where to find sellers that will sell duo-sized shoes in pairs seeing that the AFO shoe has to be roomier to fit the AFO wearing foot and the other foot needs a regular-sized shoe.

I think most of us know what kind of shoes we need... it a matter of WHERE to buy them. My daughter needs a larger shoes for the foot with the brace. Its impossible to find anyone willing to sell 2 different sizes.
Hi Jade, unfortunately manufactures don't offer an option to purchase a separate size for left/right shoes in one box as I'm sure you're aware which is why no one is willing to sell mixed sizes as we end up with 2 different shoe sizes that we can't sell :(
Possible, but hard to say without asking a couple more questions. One of the key things is making sure you have a shoe with enough space and depth for the AFO.
There are a number of styles that can accomodate an AFO. Without knowing the width of your foot and AFO, I don't know how wide of a shoe you'll need. With that information we can determine if you need a 6E, 9E, 10E or 14E wide shoe as an example. Once we get into 10E and 14E options become limited. You can view AFO shoe for men here - dtfootwear.com/product-tag/afo-men/.
Yes, Sketchers does have wide shoe up to 4E. For those needing a wider shoe like a 6E, 9E or even 14E, they'll need to find another solution like Apis which is a line that we carry.

zappos and billie both offer individual shoes
I just got an AFO and I have noticed my toes within the shoe seem pressed, I’m at 10 should I go up a half an inch?

My ortho, didn’t have any comments about my shoe, so I guess it’s fine!
What shoe has the most room to accommodate an afo?
