Your story about music school is not unfamiliar to many people. However, generations of musicians will benefit from your choice of becoming a tuner and, not just any tuner; your special talent of bringing the sound of great instruments of the past back to life is almost beyond measure. I realize that you also love music and I suggest that perhaps becasue of your contribution to music you were given the gift of Viviana Sofronitsky to play the greatest keyboard music for you personally. It's a reward few people ever get to experience but you certainly do deserve it. Was it Vivana who first recognised that in the world of piano building that you were a true virtuoso?

The thing that players and builders share is in trying to find a sound, which requires giving respect to the instrument. I'm in Vienna, and Eric Guo is holding the tempo back in this noisy Eroica Saal, using rhythmic emphasis to save the day.
