Good looking knife I been meaning to pick up their other button lock the Aries. It appeals to me a little more although I do like the blue micarta version of this one too.👍
Really can't tell 'ya, brother. Only you know how you use and need it. I would say that this one has a bit more handle to hold on to which I like for larger hands. However, Civivi is it better known brand and you might get better support if you have any issues....
But did you spine whack it? I’m just kidding. I dont really like button locks anyway. After trying out all the different types of locks, I still prefer a frame or liner lock more than anything
Have you tried the Trivisa Aries button lock yet? I've heard one reviewer say it is just shy of being as good a button lock function as the Protech, so I'm curious if this applies to the Trivisa Dor button lock as well?
@@OGBladeReviews I like the look of this Dor better than the Aries, but was wondering if the button lock function would be as good as that of the Aries and then I came up on a review by Maxlvledc (?) who found a problem with the Dor button lock he had: failure of the button lock on the spine whack test. Having seen a few other brands (Vosteed Raccoon for one) with this problem, I wonder if this problem is limited to specific design elements of the button lock and if this has been corrected. Have you tested your Dor knife in this aspect?
@@OGBladeReviews Good to know. My only worry is when using a button lock in cardboard cutting sometimes the blade gets "stuck" between two pieces of cut cardboard and when unsticking the blade, it potentially could close if the button lock failed.
Thats a new one to me. Everyone's making button locks now. Appreciate you sharing this one.
Not sure how I missed this great looking knife. Thanks for the review.
Over 800 vids so it's not hard to miss a few... 😄🗡️👍
Beautiful knife. I have 3 lynx and love them.
excellent machining, fit, and finish. my fav is the Aquila in wood with convex grind.
Excellent looking knife! Great video 👍
Gotta try a Trivisa. Rad blade shape. Great video!
Thanks Richard! Recently I've found that Vosteed and Trivisa are making some really precise well made folders! 🗡️🔥👊
Pretty clean. Might have to grab one.
You should! 🗡️👊👍

Nice presentation.
Thank you!
Trivisa makes some good knives. I am not really fond of button locks although I do still collect them. So confusion for me on this one.
Is this better than the elementum 2 ?
I would say that it is equal 🗡️👍
@@OGBladeReviews which one should I get

😅👍🗡️ No, didn't "torture test" it yet! Best button lock I have is the Kizer Begleiter XL White Mountain exclusive.

Not yet!

I've tested a few of my Vosteeds, with good results, but not the Dor. I don't generally put the button locks through hard use, though

@@OGBladeReviews When you do, I'd appreciate it if you can compare the action of the two knives. Thanks.
Not sure that buttonlock is worth $70 - looks cool, but 14c for $70 pass
Yes, Sencuts are coming in around $45. 🗡️👍
@@OGBladeReviews exactly! Good review as always brother- much love
@@OGBladeReviews the Sencuts I've seen are not 14c, but rather 9cr18mov, quite a difference. Civivi has a lot of 14c though.
What 14c button locks can you name for less? Genuinely interested
@@larrydunn4626 The Sachse I have does not have great button lock action (not sure if it is my knife or if they all function like this).
