Never saw myself as drawn to pistol grip knives, but after hearing Al Salvitti's interview on The Knife Junkie a few weeks ago I'm very drawn to the idea of a simple grip in relatively uncomplicated technique for self-defense. If you have the opportunity and a few extra bucks, check one out!
Thanks for the video and for covering defensive blades! I've been looking at these knives, thanks for covering them. I'm glad that you gave credit to Perrin for his LaGriffe. I have an extensive LaGriffe collection that includes customs from Fred himself and Warren Thomas. The only folder that I own in this format is the Spyderco Introvert. EDITED TO ADD: Wow, I didn't realize that it was so heavy... also not feeling that button lock or the blade steel (though I realize that for a defensive blade, toughness and corrosion resistance are key) for the price. Since I already have an Introvert, this one is a hard pass for me. Great video though...
Great video review 👍. I have been carrying the low viz pro since last Christmas 🎄. It's always on the right side of my belt, just like the firearm I carried for 28 years in law enforcement. I'm interested in getting the auto lock folder in the future.
Prob. very usable and ergonomic but maaaaan i think its ugly haaha. Would be cool if this Ring wasnt there (looking more like the Bastinelli Askari), because the blade profile gets kinda big when closed.
I expect it won't satisfy a collector's fine eye, but the designer made this "all business" for a reason, and for that reason it is extremely effective for its intended purpose. We need to look at this one more like a tool than a collectible! 😁🗡️👍
