One thing I liked about the old shows was how old the actors were. The only ones under 30 were Ensigns or people picked up in the delta quadrant. None of this 18 year old and already Captain-of-a-starship thing that New Trek has going. These people earned their rank through time and effort.

Agreed. I'm more a Dr Who ran but did watch Trek as a teen. Voyager is my favorite because off thepseudo family relationships and the shared mission to go home. Another modern series I've discovered like this is Netflix's Lost in Space. Only 3 seasons and centered on an actual family but with a shared quest to survive and find home. I wish Hollywood made more stories like that. Basically good people with some flaws trying to find a peaceful happy life.

TNG through Enterprise was the golden era of Trek, for me. Building upon what Gene and TOS began, there is a very similar look and feel to those later series that really encapsulates (I think) what Star Trek is all about. Fave show of all time. Watched it live, and 6 full times since... spaced out between runs, so it wouldn't become "routine". Sure glad I finished the last binge before Netflix took it away!
My favorite Star Trek series after the original. Now I will go find it to watch again. Loved the Captain and all the characters. The story line was most interesting. I have always read SF and actually was sorry they did not do a few more years of this entertaining series. Remembering all who brought these characters to life. Thank you.
Marley Maclean is the same age as me, which made me feel a lot better about watching this as a teenager and now seeing people in their sixties. I know sixty plus still isn't old, but hearing it still has an impact.
the best series anbd crew ever, (for me) more realistic and technically superb for that time...no bullshit conversation or try to make peace with everyone like TNG.
Watching this made me quite sad, I always wanted a Voyager movie. I thought the Delta Quadrant offered up so much story potential. Now I realise most of the actors will never play a part in Star Trek again. Such a shame as these were good actors, who deserved more. Hence, sad :(
I always preferred the Voyager crew to ST:NG. And I always wanted to see them after they had gotten home. Made me sad that Neelix stayed behind in the Delta quadrant even if it was with his own family.
Voyager was the series I grew up watching. I was born in the 90's and so it was a contemporary for my generation. The show always had a way of making you feel like you were part of the crew, fighting alongside each other... until the last episode when we all were able to finally return "Home" 😊
I watched Voyager when it originally aired, 8 years ago i re-watched the whole thing and yet some of these characters don't ring a bell at all. Like Lt. Ayala, Lt. joe Carey, Mezoti and Lt. Walter Baxter.
They didn't, but a lot of people remember Hogan dying in "Basics" as Carey dying. There's a theory that even the writers remembered it that way, which is why we don't seen Carey for seasons 2-6 except in alternate timelines.
I grew up on start trek from the original when i was 7 or 8. Voyager for me was easily the best. Taking the best from all other Star Trek series evolving to the brilliance of Voyager. The casting was spot on.
Not sure about how 'well' everyone has aged. Time doesn't stand still for humans. I do LOVE Star Trek, though. Literally, gone right back to the very beginning in both films and TV series. Great work, Guys. 😊👌🏿👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿
I loved it. Great the main crew is still alive - Well Computer died RIP 2008, but we can cast Siri or Alexa for the role because there is still a Voyager crew existing in an alternate timeline, so a reboot for a movie or mini series, or even a feature in Discovery's timeline where that crew never made it home should be considered. Good job on this one.
There were a lot filler episodes but great show though! Fun personal fact, this is the show I choose years ago to learn American English listening, I started dropping subs at the end of the 6th season.
I got hooked on Voyage Way back . I had a portable Tv combi video player, and I found a box with all the first season of Voyager, and the rest is history, as they say. It's so sad to see how time has taken the youth of the cast away. 7of 9, wow 😊😢
I always said that Kate Mulgrew would make a very good Mariella, (Anne of Green Gables). And Chakotay played with Chuck Norris in Lone Wolf McLane. The Doctor played in an episode of Chuck. Another tv series I love. Thank you for putting this together.
well done video big thumbs up. good background music that didn't get in the way, short video only 5 mins yet you covered a lot of characters. showed good side by side pictures without any annoying dialog. i'll check out your channel for sure.
All of them look great for their age. RIP Majel , Richard. I have this tv series and every year i see it at least once... just for the old good days. Peace to all of them.
My brother is a grip who worked on the show a lot and knew much of the cast. He told 7 aka Jere Ryan that I have a huge crush on her and she thought that was cute. He also worked with her on other shows!
Dang, talk about making me feel old! Some of them really aged well though, while others not so much! LOL Always so sad though to see my character die, feel like I jump a decade in age every time I hear one dies too! Breaks my heart to see them go. Bittersweet watching these shows in reruns knowing some are now gone to never bless our presence with them again!

@@Jayson90210 Netflix my friend. They're all on Netflix.
@@sammycool77 James, cool! Thanks brother, someone told me they weren't..I am dropping Hulu and jumping over to Netflix then! 👍
@@Jayson90210 I'm in the UK. I do know it can be different depending on location.
I have the complete box set on dvd. I still love watching it
Fave show of all time. Watched it live, and 6 full times since... spaced out between runs, so it wouldn't become "routine". Sure glad I finished the last binge before Netflix took it away!
thanks for the memories
My favorite Star Trek series after the original. Now I will go find it to watch again. Loved the Captain and all the characters. The story line was most interesting. I have always read SF and actually was sorry they did not do a few more years of this entertaining series. Remembering all who brought these characters to life. Thank you.
Marley Maclean is the same age as me, which made me feel a lot better about watching this as a teenager and now seeing people in their sixties. I know sixty plus still isn't old, but hearing it still has an impact.
Ms Torres looks phenomenal!
the best series anbd crew ever, (for me) more realistic and technically superb for that time...no bullshit conversation or try to make peace with everyone like TNG.
Roxann Dawson looks pretty amazing!
My favorite star trek series!!!
Robert Picardo he hasnt even aged it seems ! The Patric Stewhart of Voyager. Jeri Ryan today is even more beautiful than ever before
Tim Russ is very energetic these days. Believe me!
Wow Roxanne Dawson, she has aged so so well!!! 😮
Roxann looks younger now than back in 95
this is so amazing how much they changed and how much of an inspiration they are to us
I'm 40 now and this doesn't seem so long ago. Star Trek has been with me all these years though and i'm grateful for that.
Just so the creator is aware the photo he chose is not LT. Ayala but rather Jad Mager who played Ensign Tabor In Season 5 Episode Nothing Human.
Voyager was the series I grew up watching. I was born in the 90's and so it was a contemporary for my generation.
The show always had a way of making you feel like you were part of the crew, fighting alongside each other... until the last episode when we all were able to finally return "Home" 😊
I miss this show lol and im only in my 20s. I wish i could forget all the episodes and watch it again.
Depressing to see how much time has passed since the show ended.
I watched Voyager when it originally aired, 8 years ago i re-watched the whole thing and yet some of these characters don't ring a bell at all. Like Lt. Ayala, Lt. joe Carey, Mezoti and Lt. Walter Baxter.
Brought tears watching this crew, thank you.
Reminds me of how Richard Dean Anderson was practically 40 when he was on MacGyver and you think he's 20 the whole time because he looks so young!
Roxane Dawson can still stop traffic.
Her beauty still shined through under all that heavy Klingon makeup
It must have been hard for Captain Janeway to be retired from Starfleet. Look at her now.
Love the show 😍😍😍😍!
Jeri and Roxanne look gorgeous! Even in your sixties, you can look amazing! 🤩
Jeri Ryan even managed to look drop dead gorgeous as a borg drone.
This makes me feel old :(
Seven of nine has turned into 5 of 7. Damn Jeri has gotten younger!
My brother and I are 95% positive they killed off Joe Carey twice. Great memories. Grew up on TNG, DS9, and Voyager. Such good shows.
I love this crew,! I watch the reruns everyday, well they watch me at work
And then John Delancie just didn’t age. He fit his character too well
Not sure about how 'well' everyone has aged.
Majel recorded loads of speech before she died. They can now write any new dialogue and use her voice. So in a sense she lives on.
My God. I haven't thought of Chakota in years. My mom used to drone on and on about him. I think she would like him more now.
There were a lot filler episodes but great show though! Fun personal fact, this is the show I choose years ago to learn American English listening, I started dropping subs at the end of the 6th season.
Nice retrospective and tribute, but definitely bittersweet. The past couple of decades has changed us all. But, there was a time . . .
I got hooked on Voyage Way back . I had a portable Tv combi video player, and I found a box with all the first season of Voyager, and the rest is history, as they say. It's so sad to see how time has taken the youth of the cast away. 7of 9, wow 😊😢
Time flies by so fast, have whole series on DVD.
Great video.
Nice choice of music
I always said that Kate Mulgrew would make a very good Mariella, (Anne of Green Gables).
And Chakotay played with Chuck Norris in Lone Wolf McLane.
The Doctor played in an episode of Chuck. Another tv series I love.
Thank you for putting this together.
nice video
Icheb turned into a very handsome man!
And a controversial one for a while.
well done video big thumbs up. good background music that didn't get in the way, short video only 5 mins yet you covered a lot of characters. showed good side by side pictures without any annoying dialog. i'll check out your channel for sure.
Tuvoks the man yo.
I use to crack up when those 3 people tried imitating Janeway, Tuvoc and Chakotay.
Live Fast and Prosper
All of them look great for their age. RIP Majel , Richard. I have this tv series and every year i see it at least once... just for the old good days. Peace to all of them.
Dwight Schultz looking good for 74.
The music makes this like a somber memoriam for those who passed
My brother is a grip who worked on the show a lot and knew much of the cast. He told 7 aka Jere Ryan that I have a huge crush on her and she thought that was cute. He also worked with her on other shows!
Dang, talk about making me feel old! Some of them really aged well though, while others not so much! LOL
Always so sad though to see my character die, feel like I jump a decade in age every time I hear one dies too! Breaks my heart to see them go. Bittersweet watching these shows in reruns knowing some are now gone to never bless our presence with them again!
Never knew Voyager came out in 95, I just started watching a year ago, my favorite of the franchise, I always thought it came out in the early 2000’s
