Voyager was the best of the spinoffs. I still watch Voyager and Enterprise on occasion. I hope Jennifer Lien has a better life now

Me too! I was 23 in 1995 and I was attracted to so many actors that were in their 40s-50s . It feels crazy now that most of them are in their 70s-80s. Where did the time go…

Whatever their ages I still love voyager. Always watch it .
It had the spirit of the TOS series 5-year-mission: Far away from home, instead of circulation around a starbase (DS9) or patroling relative save Federation space 90% of the time (TNG). This is what the best parts of Star Trek were about. The story arcs of Archer's Enterprize were good for the same reason.
Blink of a eye episode is how it feels like how quickly we age.

Watching this video makes me feel old. I was in my 20s when this show debuted and I loved it then, still do. WelI, I am old.
We are all 30 years older now. I was in my 30s when it came out, now I am in my 60s. Sadly, we all age and we all die.
It's amazing that some of these people not only aged but changed from aliens to human.
One or two of them look like they changed from human to alien!

I looked up the Simon Billig photo, and he was arrested for fleeing a minor traffic accident scene while driving on a suspended license. Though, this appears to be quite tame compared to Jennifer Lien. Some people think that when you become an actor on a show that your life is set, but life beats us all down.

At least in Jennifer Lien's case, I'd heard she was arrested for several offenses (I think one was exposing herself to minors). I'd heard one reason she left Voyager was inability to focus due to some mental health issues.

That picture of Robert Duncan McNeill was from the Star Trek TNG episode "The First Duty" season 5 episode 19 in March of 1992, he would've been 28.

Jennifer Lien's (Kes) final episode was much later and called "Fury".
Jennifer Lien's story made me very sad. Lien has been arrested several times since 2012, including for domestic violence, driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a license.
Oh, And other crimes.

When I see videos and other comparisons like this, then I realized that a long time has past, by most anyone's definition. ⏳
As a photographer I hate these comparisons where they use much better make-up and lighting on the young photo, and then use no make-up and bad lighting for the older photo. You could reverse the techniques used and make the older person look much better than the younger person. ( just look at some of the young RUclipsrs with and without lighting and make-up, and you reach the same conclusion : that the person with make-up and professional lighting will always look better )
It does seem that the worst possible 2024 picture was selected in most cases, to make a more dramatic transformation video. Apparently, Roxann was too smart to have any bad pictures taken.
You can’t help but age, but some people just let themselves go. They just give up and wither.
I felt sorry for Jennifer Lien having been let go from the show, didn't know then she was having some personal issues. I hope she is doing well right now.
Wow. I also did not know this yet. Her final episode felt very rushed indeed. Whatever these "personal issues" were (drugs/alcohol/complications with medicine?) i can't find anything about the exact reasons, except that they even wanted to go as far as writing her out without any explaination at all - simply just never mention her character again and *puff* that's been it. At least she did not go down like tihs.
She's had a pretty hard time. Been arrested a few times. Drugs and mental health problems.
Brad Douriff is an absolutely amazing actor. He was incredible in Deadwood. 7 of 9 is still lovely.

For your information, Robert Picardo's birthday is October 27, 1952, which would make him 71, and he would be 72 in 2024. You see, I met him at the Star Trek Convention in San Francisco, CA in 2023, & got his autograph, and I asked him his birth year because my birthday is also in October & I would turn 70, Also Robert Beltran's is 70 and his Birthday is on November 19, 1953, that makes me 1 month older than him. I think the biggest thing the makes up artists overlooked was how people gain weight and how it is distributed over the body, as people get older.

No one can beat age
I think face transplants will be a big thing in cosmetic surgery when the technique has been perfected. At the moment they're only done for necessity when someone has had a horrible accident but they can take decades off someone's appearance and look much more natural than facelifts and fillers. Celebrities already make themselves look like a completely different person with plastic surgery so it wouldn't be too much of a leap to just get a new face.

In my opinion, that the only one that aged well is Ethan Phillips and that may be do to is jovial personality! I have been hoping for so many years that they would recast the actors as they did with the original Star Trek series. As an example, Chris Pine playing William Shatner as Captain Kirk. As you know, it was very successful. As "Voyager" was my very favorite of the franchise; long gone are the days that these wonderful actors had to bring each back to the screen. Sad but true! So, the next best thing is have other actors(younger ) to recreate these rolls as they did in the mentioned way. It is the next best thing!! Please do it!!
