I refuse to accept the fact that they got old 😢😢 I'm still rewatching the show from time to time and for me they will always be the age they were in 1997
I mean I feel you but remember that tilk aged a couple decades out of sync with the rest of the crew at the end there because of the whole time loop thing... The great thing about sci-fi in general is we can justify the actors we Love growing old by just claiming multiverse theory😇
I own all the DVDs of all seasons and the movies as well and I still love it always a favorite of mine I even named my truck after Ben Browder. I loved the cast they were all great!

Granted I havent seen Stargate since I was a kid in the 90s, but I didnt know what of the best VAs of all time (Cladia Black) was on that show! Didn't need much of a reason to go back and watch SG1, but if I did, thats a good one!
Like 20 something years ago I was in a bar that was in a Pittsburgh neighborhood. The bar tender was telling people he was John de Lancie's roommate when they were in college. Of course no one believed him, but he had pictures of the two of them from that time (Keep in mind that Photoshop wasn't much of a thing then). Was kinda of cool to meet someone that had known him.
its kinda funny in the episodes where they aged like the final episode of SG-1 and the 1 where "O'nell" yes with 2 L's got that virus, they actually aged them in the show to whey they really look like now lol
While watching this, I play game: Can I imagine them appearing in (theoretical) sequel with current appearance? Surprisingly many people I can imagine playing against in SG.

They had a simply great cast. The people who put that show together really did a great job of it. Christopher Judge - was phenomenal as Teal'c. It was such a contrast when the show showed him as a human. You didn't appreciate the acting he was doing most of the time to stay in character. And Ronny Cox - is always such a great Villain. The kind of guy you just love to hate. A sad note not mentioned but Cliff Simon en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cliff_Simon# the Actor who played B'aal - died in a Kite Boarding accident a few years ago. .
Soo, for me, the men should not grow beards, as makes them look older, you can still see their younger selves, if you imagine without beards. So do men grow beards when they have had enough of the limelight? The women, no change apart from the little due to ageing. So is men growing beards, same as women getting plastic, just to hide their age although badly, as it never works?? Just curious

I think part of it is the characters' presumed ages - they were all so far along in their professional career that they just felt older in a way
