Your photography is becoming amazing. Great to have you posting weekly. Please keep it up.
Amen to that, stunning videography!
Your drone work on this entire series, but especially this film, has been really, really good. Just beautiful cinematography.
Glad you enjoy it!
That old whaling ship was converted from steam and turned into tugboat and towed log barges and ships on the BC coast for years. It had a fire one it and that was pretty much the end of her career FYI.
Shaun just bought himself a ton of peace by putting up Dino. I perked up when he did that. Proud of you.
Fantastic video of our BC waters where a lot of us BC Boaters haven't seen...yet :) Love your channel.
I see Dinogate is still rattling along. It always makes me smile when Sean gets all sheepish whenever the subject comes up.
“This Old Boat”. 👍
Glad to see Dino make another appearance!
Every time you say "awesome" we drink! 🍻
When I was in the Naval Reserve, we operated a 75 foot training ship in that area. We used to have a special lookout to watch for whales and partially submerged logs which we called “deadheads”.
That burnt out boat was the Pacific Challenger, started life as a whaler, than converted to a deep sea tug, worked the coast for many years before being retired. Went through a lot of hands and then at that location caught fire due to an illegal drug lab, killing one individual involved. Sad ending to a proud boat. Yesterday I was taking the Aquabus from Granville Island to the boat show and saw a Nordhaven anchored there, same size and colour as yours, I got all excited to see you guys in the flesh, but turns out to be a Canadian boat, could not catch the name. We almost hit a Humpback in a Coast Guard Cutter, cruising on lumpy grey day, when suddenly the 'wave" in front of us spouted, thankfully we were able to veer off and miss it. Good on Shawn bringing up Dino, Happy Wife, Happy Life is the mantra of a successful husband.
Thanks for the info on that large boat. I thought it looked like it had , had a fire in the wheelhouse by the look of the blown out windows. Sad ending for a really nice looking boat.
Wow! Pendor harbour is gorgeous, as is Princess Louisa inlet! Thanks for sharing
PS Dino is awesome :)
I know I mentioned it last video, but Wow! the video quality and quality is way up there! Nice job. Thanks
Thanks again!
The footage when you were leaving the falls with the cliff behind the boat was stellar. Beautiful! We are "enjoying the journey" you are taking us on.
When you see two whales sleeping and you have a Dino on your bow... that's setting the bar really high :)
I was practicing trombone while watching your video. So I was delighted to hear the big band Christmas music.
Elizabeth, beautiful photography
I agree call it This Old Boat, just like This Old House show.
Magnificent scenery, video, audio, editing and drone coverage. Thanks so much.
Really pretty place to visit. With my health issues I need to be near a hospital, just in case. I should have spent more of my youth exploring like you two. I have been to all 48 of the contiguous States but that's on the interstates. From a boat seems much prettier landscapes. My big adventure today was going out and watering my winter garden this morning.
What a production. The big band music is awesome.
I love watching your videos because it showcases my backyard and reaffirms why I live where I do. Have traveled the world and this is one of those special places. Cheers From Vancouver Island.
You never fail to entertain…..Thank you once again!!!
Would love to watch a Fixer Upper Boat edition. Great idea!
Great idea for a new show (fixer upper) !
I live up here and really enjoyed your presentation of our little slice of heaven. Chatterbox Falls and the inlet is my favorite place on earth 🙂🌎
First RUclips Comment to anyone anywhere ever! I just want to thank you for sharing so much of your lives and adventures. I discovered RUclips in (didn't know what it was prior) 2019 when I had a dive accident that confined me to bed for months. Prior to then I thought YT was just a place to find DIY videos. Your channel kept me company convalescing for months. Fast forward to 2023 and another injury has me catching up with my fave channels, yours out in front! Thank you and from a fellow adventurer - never stop!
Thank you for sharing that, we hope you get better soon!
Shaun has learned that a happy wife leads to a happy life. Setting up Dino proves that.
AS a long time follower, this time I am giving you a thumbs up for the "Holy Shit" description in the title! Good job Elizabeth. Fo sho!
Great scenery. Great idea about a boat rehab TV show. I hope Sean got something special for Christmas after going the extra mile and getting Dino out for that parade.
I keep waiting for someone (old) to give you some history of the old man who lived at Princess Louisa during the summer. He was an interesting guy. Thanks for this vlog, brings back many memories of boating as a child.
His name was Mac McDonald
Absolutely a “class act” channel! 👏👏👏👏
Glad you enjoy it!
"This old boat" :)
that dinosaur is the bane of Shaun's existence.
He seems to be 'saur about it.🦕
@@dadejazzba402 i see what you did there.
Great Vid, that was beautiful!!! DINO returns YEAH!!!!
Shaun you are soooo whipped my friend 😄
Beautiful! Can't wait until my wife and I cruise in that area. Thank you for the informative and beautifully filmed video. Dino was nice also.
Loved the Vid!!
That fixer upper came to Canada in the early 70's formerly as a steam whaler from Norway? I worked for Pacific Towing who had purchased her. Initially the company tried to operate her as a steam powered tug but after I left employment she was converted to diesel. I did see her in better condition being operated as a research vessel in the south pacific being operated by a former principle of Pacific Towing. I have to confess my time on her was 50 years or more ago so I may have some info wrong?
Was hoping someone would chime in on her history. Looks like a possible fire in the helm.
Thank you
Dinohavan! .....He's like a car hood ornament!
Just love the scenery
A show on boat fixer uppers? I just watched Billy and Sierra do just that! And a damn good job by them!
Great..video..as always..Enjoy your journey..We sure are...stay warm...
Outstanding! how refreshing to wake up to such beauty.
fixer upper boat show would be a winner👍🏻👍🏻
Wow, you guys made a beautiful video. Thank you for sharing your journey with me.
Incredible music with this excellent video
Very nice footage! Nice area. Good tunes. Take care.
thank you for another outstanding adventure! Jim and Henry (the dog).
I’ve been on whale-watching tours in that area and had two interesting encounters where once a humpback went right under our stationary boat then blew just as it passed. You could smell the fish-breath. The other time was when there was an orca that went right under our boat. In both cases we were impressed with the size of these creatures. They are huge up close.
Nothing ever prepares you for the smell of whale breath! Unexpected, but not!
Thanks!
Thank you so much!!!
You are absolutely correct. As I have lived on board on Westcoast waters and have enjoyed the majesty of several of these beauties. Count me in for any support needed. Thank you for the lovely
You guy's are amazing, love these videos! You should be on CBC
Very cool music as always. Really like the exploring+food+dog walks+scenery and your boat.
Great video, as always
Well done
Beautiful shot of the boat with the falls in the background.....water like glass......3 more months of winter here before “Knot 2 Shabby” gets splashed for the season
Sunshine Coast rules- my home and do come back again
Beautiful video. Nice job! 😊
excellent video and music selection nice views from the drone
I agree a fixer upper show or a scrap-em show but they should never be left to decay in such a nice looking place!!!!!
What a wonderful places. I love to find your videos. Regards from Brazil.
Deno sure looks good on your boat. He add a lot of creator and class!!!! Your the man Shawn...
Deno is cool riding up front!!!
Elizabeth, I love your boat fixer upper idea! Pitch that to HGTV. You and Sean would be great on a show like that!
Thanks for making another great posting for all of us to enjoy! Bravo Shawn for bringing out “Dino”!
I Absolutely LOVE your channel.
PeaceAndLove
Lori
What a spectacular setting! And, great video!
Yea!! DINO MARTIN IS BACK!! I love the “rat pack” song that you put in as the background music when Shawn was working on Dino. Great idea about the DYI show in boats.
Thank you guys, on and on...
Loved the pictures of the boat parade! (And Dino!)
Lots of boat vids on Y.T. Western Flyer,Flying Coney,Sailing Yaba,Acorn to Arabella, Sampson Boatworks.Sailing Wood,Travels with Geordie,Ran Sailing just to name a few! (Tales from a Shipwright,Sail Life ),Restoring Evelyn) Sorry for any I have missed! KNOT FINNishedYet,The Duracell Project, Sailing Magic Carpet

You have an English shipwright very near you in Port Townsend that is restoring a large sailboat that is over 100 years old.

Greetings from New Smyrna Beach, FL. Love your videos :)
YEAH!!!!! Dino ina house......
Awesome camera work on the scenery
Pender harbour is great. Used to spend lots of time there with my family when I was a kid.
Well done with just the right amount of drone footage. Born a West Coast boy and always enjoy reminiscing.
A good fixer upper is called Project Brupeg
Your drone skills are outstanding. Great views of Freedom when you were leaving.
Dino made my day 🦖😁
Such beautiful shots. I think your TV show is a great idea!
Great boat parade! Looked chilly setting up Dino in bare feet, Shawn! 🥶
👍👍👍 This was just another awesome video with tons of natural beauty. Been waiting every week for another one! 🤠
The first time I seen Dino was at the New York World Fair back in 1964 . That would make me old . 🙁
Always love your videos! We have our N46 in French Creek. We hope to see you out and about sometime!
@ 2:20 a tree fell in the forest and you were there to hear it.
The ferry fixer upper, Anderson Island, Oro Bay. Interesting story there.
Videography has so improved from the early videos. You're now just a couple of pros in making your spectacular videos.....
I caught a baby rock cod in the inlet at Pender Harbour, i tossed the fish back into the water only to have a bald eagle swoop down not 5 feet away and grab it for a meal..... just spectacular.
You guys and Dino have become a very funny YT meme. I was grinning from ear to ear.
yes with the boat fixer upper
This Ol Boat - I will vol to do an episode.
The logs are transported to japan or china, almost all the saw and lumber mills are closed in an effort to cripple the Canadian pulp and paper industry, the mills are owned by off shore companies and Canadians are not in control of what happens to them. Do some research as to what has happened to Powell Rivers mill and several others all over the country.
That’s horrible, how’d that happen 🤔
@@mvfreedom The US used to make steel, build large ships, harvest trees, mill the trees, sell the finished lumber...all that is gone, and much more due to Government Leadership.
@@mvfreedom off shore company bought the mills, and has been shutting them down over the last little while, all the while the company has been getting tax breaks from the towns, cities and governments
Welcome back Dino!!
Fixer upper boat edition would be a go!
Always great videos and narration.
Yabadabadoo!!! 👍👍👍
I can think of a dozen channels that already do fixer uppers.... The thing is there are few who do the work before they have too like you guys... Your boat is always pristine, this takes due diligence and hard work behind the scenes. There are a few like yours, Onboard Lifestyle, Sail Life, Kristina's Travels, that are meticulous cleaners like you guys and others not so much. Sailing Flying Coney is currently gutting their old steel hull vessel and are on a crazy restore.
