@darylfoster7944 yes it does, you just don't have the insight to understand it. The issue isn't that people oppose Tesla because the infrastructure isn't there yet. Tesla is failing because they continuously lie about what they themselves are capable of. They over promise in order to boost the stock, so it shouldn't surprise people when the stock tanks upon realization by the market that Tesla doesn't actually have the capability they say they do

WRONG!!! @2:08 "If you can afford Tesla you'd have to be a moron not to buy one." Is just wrong!! Here in the UK we have lots of housing, about 25%, where you cannot charge ANY EV at home. Either Apartments or street parking only. So you would have to rely on rapid chargers. These can cost £0.79 / KWh (Around $1). Comes down to 50p or 60p / KWh if you can find a actual tesla Supercharger. My closest one is 15 miles away. after that it's nearly 30 miles. And it's still more than gas or diesel. That's serving a population for around 2 million + people. I'm Buying Tesla shares and driving and ICE car. I'd be a moron to do anything else.

Giga Berlin was shut down for a period so volumes will be lower, prices were cut so margins will be lower, Giga China was down for 10 days for Chinese New Year and Elon can't keep his mouth shut and is now spouting politics. I'm making my assumption that it could see $140 within the next week. There are no big catalysts coming up. Everyone is waiting for info on the $25k vehicle and instead they announce a new Roadster with ultra low volume. As you noted, after the last 3 or 4 earnings calls, it dropped around 9% within a few days.

No one was talking about Tesla's energy business? WTF? Even the Donald knows that the grid needs a "refresh" to accommodate the volume of new EVs coming to market. Even if Tesla's EV sales go flat its energy business will grow by double digits to accommodate the increase in EVs on America's roads. Not only that but as other EV manufacturers switch to the NACS connector Tesla's revenues from it charging infrastructure will grow.
There is so much upside to Tesla in 2024 I just cannot understand what these financial analysts are thinking! What planet are these idiots living on?

They charge up on Wind energy overnight, sell to the grid during the day, by installing *more capacity* than they need for the charging.

Nothing bad has happened to Giga Berlin. A lot of bad things are going down that Tesla is managing very well. Mostly generated by ill-informed folks or plain nutty people who grasp a cause and put all their energy into it without a thought as to whether anything of their perspective is actually correct or factual. Use caution when listening to SMR. Keep your eyes open to other investment opportunities. He will try to make you believe TSLA is the only stock worth investing in. Imagine if you had invested in Nvidia for the last two years instead of buying the "dip" with TSLA

I believe the transition to Electric would be more popular if Biden were never president. Joe Biden's push for EVS completely repelled everybody on the right. If it was not political I think the transition would be faster.

To be intellectually honest if you agree that interest rate hikes have hurt EV sales then you have to agree that government subsidies help with sales.
I dont think anyones arguing that point. Its more that it will hurt the competition far more than it will Tesla. They actually have positive margins in the EV space. Used to be the best in the industry. If needed tesla can lower the prices more.

Tesla going to $150 or lower until the Mexico plant starts producing affordable cars. The cyber truck won’t move the needle. Interest rates have to come down also. All vehicles are too expensive right now.
The next gen Tesla will first be made in Texas. Mexico later.

Stop showing the chart with linear scale. Switch to logarithmic and everything will look clearer. Every few years the stock 10x and then "rests" for a few years. We are in the "resting" period. Either FSD, 25k car or Optimus will likely be the next catalyst for the next run.
$25k car probably doesn't do it by itself. Won't have the margins for the profits for a 10x, even at higher volumes. The next gen platform is more important as a way to lower the cost of entry for accessing FSD and allow Tesla to sell way more FSD.

@@kristianstokka5325 this is not a technical (vudù) analysis. This is understanding how the market reacts and evaluate Tesla. It tends to not give it enough credit in advance and then overshoot once it seems the actual results. This was the case with model S, then 3/Y. No one can guarantee Tesla will succeed on its next "run" but it is clear that the market undervalues FSD and the bot (also the next gen in my view). Let's see where Tesla is in 2 years and see who is left laughing
I'm a Tesla bull that drank the koolaid (on the "accelerated" timelines) in the beginning (2020) but I, too, am now approaching things with a more reasonable and logical outlook.
I sold all my shares at 220 and I’m holding for now as I reevaluate my long term thesis on tsla.
I got out at 238 and am hoping to go long again at 125! sold my entire position.

Appreciate you Steven, but I think your RUclips content is getting stale. Your community would be better served by covering Tesla in a manner that's similar to how Rob, from Tesla Daily, used to cover Tesla. A video highlighting a +80% to the stock price is stupid when many of us have been in the fold for 4+ years, and there's probably many in your community who have cost basis avg. between $300-$400. These people aren't hyped on and 80% move getting them to break even, and they will hate you if, God forbid Elon sells a lot of stock this year to fund X, the FED f**** us, and the price goes much lower. I, myself, will be buying, but I'm just putting my worthless 2 cents out there for you to consider.

If Tesla were to release a mass market EV for $20k with just the specs of a base Model 3 it would be game over for any legacy automaker in that segment because they would lose the advantage of "economies of scale" and that would kill their annual revenues.

First of all, the cost is going to be $20k, the price will be at least $24k. Second, it is not going to have many of the 3's features or luxury. No glass roof, a mediocre sound system, no heated whatever, and 250 miles of range.

Can't say I liked "The Grid." You may want to give it another glance. During 2024 Tesla will make enormous progress in creating an amazing future, but will look bad from the short term performance perspective. I expect it to head lower before it begins its relentless growth. The transition will be slow so buying the dip will continue for a while.
I am employed by the fossil fuel industry, and I still love electric cars. However, I do hear the argument that he’s saying repeated by every single other person. What people don’t understand is that we need more fossil fuels. electric vehicles aren’t getting rid of our fossil fuels it’s our government. They want us all to be electric in our homes and trying to stop anybody from having liquid natural gas to their home which increases the price minimum of 3 to 4 times to heat your home.
Stevens tesla position will be underwater if rates stay high for longer. His cost basis is over $100 a share now, so if the stock revistits $100 again he will be underwater. Ive seen plenty of charts like teslas that ends up making another lower low and revisits the initial breakout area. He may cry in the corner if he goes underwater

I agree with your analysis of impact of government programs on Tesla. When they announced the programs, Elon said “We don’t need them.” Better economy will do more for Tesla than cash-sucking government spending.

Average new car payment in USA is 700 dollars a month it's very elevated mostly due to the high interest when rates come down Tesla is gonna be up and up
Not really true. Lower interest rates by 2.5% and that $700 payment only drops by about $40. The effect is vastly overrated.
When rates come down, it's likely because they broke something in the economy. Thus, mass layoffs, massive unemployment, nobody buying anything. Don't hope for lower rates. With adapters, the Ford can use my Tesla chargers at home, and now Superchargers when traveling. This is my fourth truck but my first Ford product ever ... they make a very nice traditional truck. There are dozens of positive reviews of the Lightning on RUclips. 🙂

I always thought there was a place for stripped down economy cars and I think Tesla should do this. Make a bare bones basic car with absolutely no features or functions beside driving you safely from point a to point b while maximizing range. I’m sure they could make something that’s even sub 20k if that’s what they do. My family was poor growing up and I remember my dad buying a brand new Chevy Aveo for 6k, it was a manual transmission with no power options and no AC lmao but it worked and drove good for many years.
You need to look at the statistics, and see what a tiny percentage of Americans buy that type of car. For the same price, they can get a used car that has the features that they want, and is also larger.

Chinese EVs are hit with heavy tariffs, the legacy automakers mass market ICE sales collapse in the face of a mass market shift to $18k compelling EVs and every EV is using the Tesla charging infrastructure.

And they decide they can sell more EVs outside the US by simply going to other governments and spending half the money the tariffs would cost "offering a deal" to those governments for infrastructure investment, or building the cars there, or battery materials at a good price, etc?

Those countries, many with "shaky" economies say "deal done".
China pulls US investment (and expertise!) in proposed battery factories, then moves the materials they were going to supply over to their new "preferred customers"..... All perfectly within their right to do.

The US then simply CAN'T build a competitive EV (Outside Tesla, who still have a special relationship with China, EV factories outside the US and plans to supply materials at home)

The US brands (many of whom have burned bridges elsewhere) then have to go back to Oil burners(?) and essentially shrink to "US only" because ICE won't compete.
They may also find their component supply becomes "Tricky" since the majority is from China.
Those "repatriated" components become expensive to supply (remember WHY they went to China? Cheap labor?)
Now there's a choice, higher prices, lower profit (they're in too deep!) or lower wages (we know a song about that, don't we?)

Ford are losing massive amounts on every ev sold. F-150 ev is like $20000 before considering things like R&D costs. If Ford ev was its own corp it would have a net loss of maybe $100 000 per vehicle. Like everyone else they are trying to transition but as of now only one company has managed to make a profit from this technology.
