They use fedex for that and it shows up quick. I got my shipping notification then the next day it arrived... which was definitely a bit faster than usual. Lot of times it take a few days.
@Madlittlepixel agree with you here. If you use regular shipping you're looking at 4-6 weeks out from shipping date. If you can wait, then great. But for peace of mind I'll pay the extra $20+ for FedEx. Tracking and delivery the next day. My copy of Pixel Remaster shipped on 4/19 and was delivered to my office on 4/20.
The Asia version is better due to the inside art. However, when comparing the Asia version and the Chinese version on PlayAsia, the Chinese version is even better because of the nicer back art (PlayAsia's twitter has a screenshot posted on 4/19). You see, the Chinese version has more space to highlight Celes, while the Asia version has a vertically squashed picture of her (although it includes a different picture of the Falcon as the intro for FF6). Also, a command window takes up a lot of space, making the moon partially obstructed by text. The same kind of goes for comparing Switch packages and PS4 packages. The back cover of PS4 packages has a vertically squashed picture of Celes (which makes it look like the logo of "FINAL FANTASY VI" sits right next to her) and the PS4's blue-colored package interferes with the inner art whereas the Switch packages have transparent cases. All in all, either the Chinese or Japanese Switch version has the best package design overall, mainly because of the inner art and the larger picture of Celes on the back cover. I gotta say the pixel remaster packing for the USA/EU edition, regardless of Switch or PS4, leaves something to be desired, namely: - No inner cover art - Vertically squashed picture of Celes on the back cover - No memorial ultimania book in the collector's edition, unlike the Japanese collector's edition EDIT: If you compare USA Switch packages and USA PS4 packages specifically, I'd say USA PS4 packages have better design because: - There is no inner cover art anyway, PS4's blue-colored packages won't get in the way - PS4 packages are horizontally wider than Switch packages, so text on the back won't obstruct the moon
@@supbro6505 Yes it does. Unfortunately, though, the Japanese Switch is currently available only in the Japanese collector's edition. And because of exclusiveness, I highly doubt it will be available on PlayAsia. The Chinese edition IS available on PlayAsia, though.
@@santostony8484 Chinese version definitely has the better back art. To be honest, if it didn't have the rating on the front, I'd go for it. I firmly believe age ratings should not be on the front of games, it just ruins the art. The German rating is absolutely disgusting to look at. Sorry for all the questions, I just have a couple more if you don't mind. Does the Chinese version have English support? I assume it does.
@@supbro6505 You have a good point; While I prefer the back art for the Chinese version, I agree with you on the rating on the front. For the colors, I actually don't know since I don't own the Asia version. From a PlayAsia's twitter post on 4/19 where they compare the back covers for the Asia version and the Chinese version, it does look to me like the Chinese version is brighter (e.g. you can probably see the face of Level 5 Death in the Chinese version better than in the Asia version). So my guess is that USA/Japanese/Chinese have brighter colors than the Asia version.
Way to go above and beyond Square Enix USA.. 🙄 I've ordered some products from the main SE site, I swear their employees hate themselves more than I hate myself. The weird week offs they take shipping anything + $20 and up shipping fees, they don't want our business.💀
The colors of the cover images are therefore different, because different parts of the world have different standards regarding the color profiles of printing houses.
Wow. I thought all the games would be under one hub on the cartridge but it’s exactly the same as the digital. The only difference is you have a physical cartridge.
Yeah, that's really really dumb. Should've been like the X Legacy Collection where you have a super cool menu to select each game with some rockin menu music in the background. I shouldn't be surprised they went for the absolute bare minimum.
@@3godzilla3 the thing is that every game is sold separately and on ps4 each game has its own trophy list which i prefer way more. Imagine 6 games put on one icon and on one trophy list, i dont know how some people would prefer that.
It was a blink and you miss it for me and the SE store version of this. I did get the Playasia verison though but it's not shipping till next month. Missed it by a few days! Can't wait to get my hands on this and start with 2. Played 1 last year on psp.
I enjoyed 2 back when I played on it GBA. I like how the battle system was all based on experience. The more you do/use something in particular the better you get at that, similar to what Skyrim later did. This also works for leveling up your HP and MP though. The more damage you take, the more your HP levels up, and the more you consume/lose MP the more your MP levels up. You can even use spells to damage or drain MP from your own allies and it still counts.
Lol if it wasn’t for your video like last month or something saying it was sold out online but available through PlayAsia, I wouldn’t have pulled the trigger. I was heavily debating whether I should spend the 80 on the game, or use the money for gas and stuff for school. Sure enough I forgot I placed the order was actually kinda glad I got the notification saying they took my money (since they fully take the amount only after they have shipped it). Either way, I’m stoked and cannot wait d(^_^o)
It is great that the Switch have the same update file for different regions of the same game. I know that the PS3 and PS4 had different updates, DLC, and saves for the same game but different regions, at least from my experience. I do wish that both the sprites and font is larger in the pixel remaster.
Only english in the version asia?... In the page of Playasia" languages(spanish, english, etc etc etc), in the two covers, USA and Asia , only english.... Why??
thank you, I also was curious if they were different in any way. I've seen many different prices on the behemoth auction site. Though I could save $$ buying the digital version I would rather have the physical versions of games. I really enjoy when I sit down to play a game that I have only a digital copy, to find out my kid is playing on the account at college leaving me unable to play. Plus in the future when the online service is no longer available The physical copy will work Have a good day
While I wanted a physical version, not paying through the nose for it (which also kind of included the $40 for shipping). Now my biggest decision is do I get it for Switch or PS4 (have well over $100 digital credit for each). Maybe will wait for whichever goes on sale first.
Same for me (for the version decision that is). I’m not a big trophy hunter, but I’d make an exception as it seems so cool to see which trophies are available/platinum a collection that is absolutely massive. On the Switch hand, the art style practically begs to be played in a portable setting. Plus, my broke-ass only has two OLED screens in the house for prime viewing lol - Switch and iPhone. Ain’t no way I’m copping the app store versions, so likely Switch it is!
Gotta say I am a bit annoyed at paying $300 for the Anniversary Edition and SE couldn't even bother to have the same inside case art that the Asian version has..
I can't understand why they did that either. Usually Square-Enix pays attention to minor detail. Seems they missed the boat on an already overpriced copy to add that inner artwork.
I’m still waiting for mine from Videogamesplus. They allowed more preorders than their received from their supplier. They sent the email on 4/19 about it and said they would send an update when they got more info. I’m still waiting for the update email.
Yup I'm also looking forward to those! Plus we get Sea of Stars and Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes this year, too. Another one worth mentioning is Granblue Fantasy Relink.
Ok, now I'm pretty pleased about getting the Play Asia version.i kinda wish the colors were as bright as NTSC, but I like the other features that come with it. Those are cool. Maybe I'll pick up the NTSC version in the future if second hand isn't too expensive because the unusual E-T rating is very cool. I've never seen that before.
This year looks like the year of the collections for some reason. Here's a list of all the collections we got for Switch just for this year alone, wowza: Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp Mega Man Battle Network: Legacy Collection Final Fantasy: Pixel Remasters Collection Breakers Collection Baten Kaitos 1 & 2 Remasters Suikoden 1 & 2 HD Sonic Origins Plus Wonder Boy: Anniversary Collection Capcom 3rd Arcade Stadium Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection IGS Arcade Classic Collection Valis: The Fantasm Soldier Collection 2
I tried waiting for the Square Enix store to restock and now it's saying no longer available. I even signed up for the waiting list. Nothing. Now the Square Enix store can take a flying leap. @@bioboost12 i think i ordered april 6, and later got an email from play asia saying when the shipping dates would be based on purchase date and mine was in the last group
Well the best thing about the Asia versions back then was for most Japanese games that would of been Japanese only but the Asia versions would still have Japanese audio but you would have your selection on the text type you'd want like with Super Robot Wars T the OG version is everything is in Japanese but the Asia version you get English text so you can understand the story and what you'd have to do.
What languages are available for on each version? Is the original Japanese available on any of them? (Not sure if "Asia version" is the same as the Japan version.)
I have the physical copy from playasia but it looks like it's downloading content when you insert the cartridge. Is everything needed to play on the cart?

But for peace of mind I'll pay the extra $20+ for FedEx. Tracking and delivery the next day. My copy of Pixel Remaster shipped on 4/19 and was delivered to my office on 4/20.
@@insaneasock3156 Nah man. Using economy shipping my orders usually arrive in 2 - 3 weeks, and that's all the way into Eastern Canada.
I ordered a Play Asia version. Hopefully it arrives soon.
Now ordering the play Asia version, BRB.
That's real shame that the industry doesn't put additional content inside the box anymore...
So glad I ordered the PlayAsia version. Now I just gotta wait for it to ship.
I gotta say the pixel remaster packing for the USA/EU edition, regardless of Switch or PS4, leaves something to be desired, namely:
- No inner cover art
- Vertically squashed picture of Celes on the back cover
- No memorial ultimania book in the collector's edition, unlike the Japanese collector's edition
EDIT:
If you compare USA Switch packages and USA PS4 packages specifically, I'd say USA PS4 packages have better design because:
- There is no inner cover art anyway, PS4's blue-colored packages won't get in the way
- PS4 packages are horizontally wider than Switch packages, so text on the back won't obstruct the moon
Does the Japanese Switch release have English language support?
Thank you for doing this. I want the physical version but was worried about grabbing the playasia version.
I'm glad I got the PlayAsia version! Naked esper Terra on the reverse cover.
Thank you for review.
I got the Play-Asia version because I had to wait and I was worried I was gonna get an inferior version. Glad to know that is not the case
Thanks to you, I bought this off Play-Asia.
im glad i missed the NA version now , thanks for boosting my excitement
I appreciate this video. This answered all of my questions, so now I'm buying from play asia.
Very insightful video!
I didn't even know there was a us version when I search this game play asia is the only thing that popped up
Lol if it wasn’t for your video like last month or something saying it was sold out online but available through PlayAsia, I wouldn’t have pulled the trigger. I was heavily debating whether I should spend the 80 on the game, or use the money for gas and stuff for school. Sure enough I forgot I placed the order was actually kinda glad I got the notification saying they took my money (since they fully take the amount only after they have shipped it). Either way, I’m stoked and cannot wait d(^_^o)
thanks for review I'm buying this. Kinda miss turn based!
To the playasia version is sick. I'm grabbing this one for sure
Sweet I got the better version in my opinion has artwork in the inside
It is great that the Switch have the same update file for different regions of the same game. I know that the PS3 and PS4 had different updates, DLC, and saves for the same game but different regions, at least from my experience. I do wish that both the sprites and font is larger in the pixel remaster.
Why would anyone prefer the one with the ESRB rating? That logo always ruins box arts.
Play-Asia just announced a price drop. Now available at $ 49,99 for a limited time.
Thanks sir :)
Plus in the future when the online service is no longer available The physical copy will work
Have a good day
While I wanted a physical version, not paying through the nose for it (which also kind of included the $40 for shipping).
Take switch if you don‘t care on trophy. The graphic is the same and you can play it everywhere.
You should do a video comparing this switch version to ps4 to see if they are the same or which runs better etc
I'm not going to get it, but the art inside the PA version is really nice 😊😊😊
Appreciate this Video!
Agreed
0:44 bro, stop telling us what you're going to do and just f'ing do it! 😂
I’m still waiting for mine from Videogamesplus. They allowed more preorders than their received from their supplier. They sent the email on 4/19 about it and said they would send an update when they got more info. I’m still waiting for the update email.
you forgot to show the side spine difference.
but anyways nice vid 😁👍
Sorry, they both are identical top of spine.
I didn't get the extra reverse art but i did get a sticker sheet in mine. Mine also doesn't say Pixel Remaster on the cover.
Mine is the anniversary edition
I just need a Switch now. I want Suikoden remasters !
Yup I'm also looking forward to those! Plus we get Sea of Stars and Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes this year, too. Another one worth mentioning is Granblue Fantasy Relink.
Thanks for the comparison, it means a lot as a FF fan.
I noticed that the sprite for Firion (FFII) on the front is different between the two covers as well. 0:57
I can’t wait for my copy from play-Asia to arrive
I got the Play Asia version. When you pop the cartridge in, all four games show up on the home screen separately.
6 games. Not 4.
bro the fact that the play-asia one has the inside print is so scuffed after SquareEnix charged $75 + shipping for just the game. Huge L
Appreciate this, as you had to break the seal on 2 copies of a supposed "rare" game.
The arranged versions of the songs are done so well. Crystal clear production and the musicians just make it pop. Such a good remaster from square.
The Play-Asia version is the same version at VGP in Canada also.
This year looks like the year of the collections for some reason. Here's a list of all the collections we got for Switch just for this year alone, wowza:
Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp
Mega Man Battle Network: Legacy Collection
Final Fantasy: Pixel Remasters Collection
Breakers Collection
Baten Kaitos 1 & 2 Remasters
Suikoden 1 & 2 HD
Sonic Origins Plus
Wonder Boy: Anniversary Collection
Capcom 3rd Arcade Stadium
Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection
IGS Arcade Classic Collection
Valis: The Fantasm Soldier Collection 2
I tried waiting for the Square Enix store to restock and now it's saying no longer available. I even signed up for the waiting list. Nothing. Now the Square Enix store can take a flying leap. I purchased my copy from Play Asia. And after seeing this, I'm even more glad I did. Square Enix America did fans wrong.
Hoping and praying that square enix releases more physical copies! Please and thank you!! Greeting from north America!
Great content as always.
i'm glad i ordered from play asia, but i have to wait til june 19 for it to ship, so who knows when it'll actually arrive
When did you pre order it? I guess I got lucky cause I waited and didn't order it until the 15th and it says it'll ship the 28th of this month.
@@bioboost12 i think i ordered april 6, and later got an email from play asia saying when the shipping dates would be based on purchase date and mine was in the last group
Does the PlayAsia wallpaper code work for the US servers?
Yes
Well the best thing about the Asia versions back then was for most Japanese games that would of been Japanese only but the Asia versions would still have Japanese audio but you would have your selection on the text type you'd want like with Super Robot Wars T the OG version is everything is in Japanese but the Asia version you get English text so you can understand the story and what you'd have to do.
Back then?
What languages are available for on each version? Is the original Japanese available on any of them? (Not sure if "Asia version" is the same as the Japan version.)
Damn I wish the inside for the collectors edition had the inside art, I feel a little ripped off, though slip case is very nice
I have the physical copy from playasia but it looks like it's downloading content when you insert the cartridge.
Is everything needed to play on the cart?
