Dues Ex Human Revolution - The game that encouraged stealth and non-lethal takedowns for the most experience, where hacking and movement is optimal for moving around an enemy infested base. You walk into the room, and there is Lawrence Barrett, a fully armoured walking tank with a mini-gun built into his hand. And your holding a stun gun that does NOTHING!!!
Main reason I had the Typhoon was the bosses because, before it got patched, those three were impossible for a stealth player.
Lmfaoooo frfr
Alpha protocoll had one of them as well.
The whole game they told you that you could just sneak around and take down any opponent - and then they threw you into a arena battle with that one pistol you got with you.
I remember that fight. There were poison gas canisters scattered around the room that you could throw at him if you werent built for combat. The problem was that it took several, and you had to aim and throw from first person while trying not to get hit.
Actually the stun gun kills bosses in 3-6 shots based on difficulty.
At least Ludwig's second phase is easier because he becomes much less erratic and his attack patterns are more predictable and telegraphed
Thymesia was a gem of a Soulslike.. nice callout 🔥
4:05 "If Wolf doesn't slay every one of them, they'll eventually transform into homing projectiles."
That sounds much worse than it actually is. The Guardian Ape would have been a better fit for this list.
Play Thymesia, guys! One of the best souls-like games out there and brutally hard, but it hasn't sold as well as it deserves to. It's also usually under $15.
Brutally hard? The game is piss easy
When your facing gloom hands in TOTK and think fighting them is no big deal……till phantom ganon pops up and you crap yourself a second time
The word is "you're". It's a contraction, meaning a combination of two words. Educate yourself!
@@jarlwhiterun7478 How offended can you be that you decide to waste your own personal time to comment that? English is not my first language and I often make mistake, how pretentious can you be?
@@jarlwhiterun7478shush and get off RUclips, loser
@@jarlwhiterun7478it's the internet if you understand what someone meant that's good enough you Cactus
I think gloom hands fits this video better. I definitely wasn’t ready the first time I ran into one. You can go the whole game with running into a gleeok.
Demyx from Kingdom Hearts 2. Its not Demyx himself, but the unique mechanic he has. At the start of the fight, you have to defeat a number of water clones Demyx creates in a limited amount of time. Failure results in an instant game over. And once you get past that, he spends the whole fight dashing around the arena and spamming knock back attacks, before summoning the clones again. He's not to bad if you use the Action Commands to defeat the clones, but as a kid this guy was frustrating as hell.
The main attack that Odur has in Thymesia is actually tanking the frame rate when he does almost anything significant - many of his moves cause massive dips. After switching from PS5 to PC so I could dominate the frame rate portion of the battle, I stomped him EZPZ.
The Ludwig fight in bloodborne is amazing and very well designed. At first he is chaotic and most of the attacks just feel like a frenzy as if he has lost his mind, but then when he realizes he has the moonlight sword he comes to his senses and his attacks become more intentional and thought through. I find that phase actually easier but I love how the feel of the entire fight changes once he comes to his senses and he isn't so chaotic anymore.
No one is ready for the Gleeok. Why would we?! Their last appearance was in Phantom Hourglass, and yes I know there actual last appearance before Tears of the Kingdom was Cadence of Hyrule, but Phantom Hourglass was the Gleeok’s last appearance in a canonical entry in the Zelda series, so they got a major buff in both power and appearance in Tears of the Kingdom. So of course we’re not going to be ready for them, it’s not like we’re going to go all Leeroy Jenkins and fight them when we’re not ready yet! And even when we’re ready, we’re not going to have an easy fight against them!
For Gleeoks. make sure you farm for TONS of Keese, Aurocuda, Octorok eyes, since they have an auto aim.
I beat everything in the game except the Gleeoks, couldn't even beat the easiest one, never even got close
@@lilmissknowitall5775 I eventually had to go after them upgrading certain armor. Plus some side stuff are behind some of them. Definitely saved them till I was completely ready. What’s more annoying is that it takes longer because they decided to lower the drop rate for things.
@@frz3rbRnotaku1 I literally got every upgraded armour in the game, every heart and still couldn't do it, you clearly have much more patience and skill than I do.
The Scorpion Sentinel in FF7 Remake. A remix of the original's first boss, it sets the tone for the game's boss battles going forward: long, spongy, and brutally hard. New players literally CAN'T be ready for it. because they have severely limited resources and no opportunities to grind. More importantly, they haven't yet clued in to the games idiosyncratic conceit that minor enemies are best dealt with via rapid offense, while boss fights are about defending and holding out for your big attacks. Toughest fight in the game, by far.
I'm glad to see the antlion boss on this list, because I'm one of the people who couldn't beat it. It was my first video game and now I feel validated.
it took me two years to beat the level, everything after is much easier
When I saw King Gleeok for the first time I said "nope not today I'm out of here"
The Bathomys tank in Valkyria Chronicles. It’s indestructible, you have poor equipment, it crushes your bases rendering them useless, it’s covered in machine guns that will down your soldiers in no time flat, and the main gun can destroy your tank in a single shot, which is an instant game over. Oh, you thought it stopped there? Once you figure out how to get it vulnerable and almost do it… reinforcements show up. One is completely invincible, can cover half the map in a single move, and down any foot soldier in a single shot. And she has *ridiculous* range. Like 10 times your soldiers range.
I remember that fight. For me it was General Jaeger and his Lupus tank towards the end game. You fight tanks throughout the game, but his is completely armored, including the weak spot. So you've gotta chuck rockets at, which is pretty easy due to how slow it is. Then the armor breaks and it starts zooming across the map at full speed obliterating everything in its path.
OG Sephiroth in KH. You can easily handle most enemies and bosses in the game by leveling appropriately. Then this SoB comfortably hands you your ass because you don't expect him to flat out stomp you like he does.
You do need to go out of your way to find him though. I agree he is a tough fight and took me more than a few times to beat him but he didn’t appear out of nowhere
Another fun fact that makes Chameleos stress in MH2: All the original elder dragons gimmicks can be disabled if they are poisoned. This technically includes Chameleos if you code dive.... except he can't be poisoned. This means he's the only one who you legitimately need to actually fight through the gimmick of.
Also in the original game he wasn't restricted on the item rarity he could steal, so he could grab absurdly expensive items like book of combos or power charms.
I honestly thought this would be more popular, but The Dancer of the Boreal Valley in DS3. Straight after Aldrich, if you don't know the danger of having a little chinwag with the bloodied miscreant it drops you right in front of, you get launched into another boss fight. Evil. scraped through Aldrich? yeah, have some of this.
If you want to properly confront a Gleeok, having a Lynel Bow and a bunch of Keese Eyeballs would be a start. In fact, a Five-Shot Burst Savage Lynel Bow can potentially turn any Gleeok into a mere pushover, though you will also need a powerful weapon by your side; the Flame, Frost, and Thunder Gleeoks all have 8000 HP.
I beat king Gleock for the first time before knowing about the keese eyeballs and he’s significantly harder without them. Then I fought him with the eyeballs and he becomes easy.
@@stevenbrown4001 Stunning the Gleeok is one thing, but because it has so much HP, you risk breaking a lot of your weapons if you don't have some heavy-hitting weapons with you. Fortunately, attacking a Gleeok's eye doubles the amount of damage dealt to it, which does mitigate that problem a bit.
about Number 8 - DUO of Megaman Battle Network 4. i actually spent all my battle chips to defeat it and the only reason i won against it at all is because I used blaster upgrades to balance the lack of the power of my battlechips. charge shots came in clutch at last 500 or so HP
Shao Khan in MK9
Lingering Will.
Eggman would have won, if he just let Sonic fall into the lava. He doesn't want Sonic dead. He just wants attention.
I actually enjoyed fighting odur in thymesia, not sure if it is just cause I was playing sekiro prior to thymesia or just general experience in soulsborne games but he was easy for me. Lady butterfly on the other hand was a B**** to fight due to all the new mechanics and the fact there were no shields you could use.
Adam Smasher...wasnt ready for how easy he was going to be!
Driver. Damn Driver. You start out in a timed boss fight with a parking lot. And you will lose a parking LOT!
Grandia 3!!!
0:42 Love the video game logic here. Robotnik: "Im going to basically save my arch nemesis from certain death and put him in a trap that is uncertain death."
Maybe he wants to use Sonic to test his robots' battle capabilities and hopes to claim the hedgehog's remains for future study.
I had already defeated Ganon in Zelda: TOTK when I first encountered King Gleeok in the underground of all places. I then immediately fast traveled as far away as the map would allow.
final fight with Sephiroth in Rebirth i wasn't ready. cause i assume before that reveal. Aerith was going to die and didn't need to set her up for the final boss until she teams up with you against Sephiroth. so i was fighting him without her with any Materia and made it difficult. If i want to set her up. i had to start the battle with J-E-N-O-V-A again.
Oh my god The Antlion! On game gear. You really unlocked a memory.
That's sad there is no Drakengard
Just wanted to add that for the Nyx Boss fight in the Persona 3 and Persona 3 Fes, is that there is a bug, where the boss refuses to change to it's next form. Thus trapping the player in an endless loop until they die, or quit and restart the already long ass boss fight once again.
Awesome Video Bro!
The trick to Gleeock is rocket shields.
Must have taken me 30+ tries to beat Odur. Took me forever to figure out his pattern and when to be aggressive and when to hold back. Now i could probably beat him in under a few minutes.
Yes, nyx Avatar was long, but it wasn't hard. Both persona 4/5 final bosses didn’t have that many phrases, but they were equally as long.
Says how ultra-tough the Boss is.
Shows vid of them getting their arse handed to them.
the king gleeok was no trouble at all though if you did any planning
Did they just call the "hero of the wild" the "hero of time" 😂😂😂
Yes they did. And What Culture Gaming claims that Hyrule Historia confused every Zelda fan about the Zelda franchise’s 3 timelines. It seems that the only one who don’t know anything about the Zelda franchise is What Culture Gaming themselves, because the Hero of Time only appeared in Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask and Twilight Princess as the Hero’s Shade, and the Hero of Twilight is the descendant of the Hero of Time.
Monster Hunter Rise is my 1st MH game so you can imagine how my fight with Chameleos went 😂
The first tree sentinel in Elden Ring
I made it a point to defeat him before leveling up for the first time, lol
You should do the opposite,10 video game bosses everybody was ready for
Sorry but by the time I walked up on king gleeok I was prepped to smoke him lol hunting them for parts is so fun when you get used to them too
I use the Lynel bow that shoots 3 arrows and attach a keese eye to it. It's ruthless.
@@JONATHANP1619 Having the Five-Shot Burst bonus makes things even better, as you can immobilize one Gleeok head with just one shot (assuming that all 5 arrows hit their mark).
Chameleos was a great fight I wouldn't say it was difficult
I don't remember the Ant-Lion in Sonic 2 at all. Is this a Mandela Effect thing?
No. Chameleos is NOT more frustrating. He's TOUGHER, but nothing beats my MHF2 encounter with him. I spent ~40 minutes looking for him, because in MHF2, he's really invisible. No shimmer effect, no noise until you are right on top of him, no indication of his location at all.
Thymesia mentioned ❤
14 phases is insane
Homing arrows and a rocket shield makes gleeoks a short fight.
If you have plenty of eyes to attach to your arrows and lynly bows, gleeoks are pretty easy….least till the final round where it flys high in the air
Matador from shin megami tensei nocturne
OK Eggman deserved to loose after saving sonic just to try feeding it to an antlion
No Emerald Weapon from Ffvii. One of the games super bosses is available halfway through disc 2. And at that stage wiping out your entire party in a single hit. Most ffvii players bumped into this boss way too early
Second boss in Sifu kicked everyones ass and had to be nerfed
Just one thing,Chamelios in MH Rise was easy,in the old he was F... hard if you forgot to throw a paint ball at him...good luck to find for him.and you where not so agil like in the new game.
However thinks lady butterfly clearly don't see how easy she can be beat with delayed attacks
Come on, Chameleos is a pushover.
Fought lady butterfly about 70 times
Sean from Sifu. He is beast!!!!
Hands down. For me Ludwig was worse than the orphan of kos
I just Armageddoned Nyx when I reached the final phase.
Thancred vs Ran'jit Final fantasy XIV Role play event shadow brigners
Sonic ant lion is a deep cut
Adramahlihk, otherwise known as The Doctor in Divinity Original Sin 2
Chameleos?!
Seriously?!
😂😂😂😂😂
He was a chump!!!!
Primordial Malzeno on the other hand.............O_o
Ren Hayabusa. Nioh 2
*Jules, the legend!!* 💪
I remember that game gear sonic. I guess I was right when I yelled at the screen as a child I know you’re cheating! Even though I didn’t understand how
I disagree. By the time you reach Lady Butterfly, the game has had you operating on a razors edge. Some of the mobs? Now those encounters could wreck you outta nowhere.
I’ll be honest lady butterfly was kinda easy lol and I suck at sekiro
Lady butterfly is the easiest to cheese in the game
Ludwig, yup. Finally you get one right
Nyx is an annoyance, nothing much
Nyx isn't bad in the remake. In the original they were a pain.
OMFG #10!!!!!
Not one king of fighters boss ok 😅
Jules, I know, I hate myself for this, but it’s “for which no one was ready.” I’ll see myself out
You thought you did something…
Chameleos isn’t even hard in his tier tf is this 😂😂
Yeah it was pretty easy.
yesss good old doctor Wahwee!
I'm pretty sure Azazel in tekken 6 ruined the series for me.
First
GET OUT!
Shao Khan in MK 9
