The Lakers FAILED Again...

- The Los Angeles Lakers, after coming into the season as championship contenders according to some, have just lost in the first round of the NBA Playoffs at the hands of the Denver Nuggets for the second year in a row. Jamal Murray hit them with a game winner, Nikola Jokic was dominant, and great series from LeBron James and Anthony Davis just weren't enough. This leads to an offseason full of questions. Will LeBron James stay? Do they pursue a top star like Trae Young or Donovan Mitchell? Do they just try to keep key role players like Austin Reaves, D'Angelo Russell, and Rui Hachimura? And, most of all, do any of these options make the Lakers real championship contenders or are they just wasting everyone's time? Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder finished their sweep of the New Orleans Pelicans, and the Boston Celtics went up 3-1 on the Miami Heat. Let's talk about it.

There was just not enough there, refs alone are not going to carry a franchise.
Darvin Ham has been playing Taurean Prince for 20-30 minutes a game for the entire season for literally no gain. only 8 points per game. What the fuck. no one needs those minutes less than him.
Glue guy shooting 40% from deep.
Casuals will always blame role players while their supermax leader plays literally zero defense and his lack of effort cost them last game when he allowed Gordon to get that huge offensive rebound.
@@spurs_7798 they literally reported how the players were confused and mad that he and reddish was starting and getting those minutes over dlo and reaves. There 3rd and 4th best players.
@@lilbruhdp3397 and you believe every anonymous report about the Lakers you hear? Dear god, may he help your casual brain.
@@spurs_7798 i don’t care what you say if he needs 20 minutes a game for 8 points that’s not good. 40% shooting is a good stat but efficiency isn’t always the answer because obviously they been doing something wrong. i’m not blaming him i’m blaming darvin ham because what makes him enticed to give him 20 minutes on the brink of elimination when jared didn’t play at all and he was cleared… it’s just dumb coaching you can’t even deny it
@@user-eu7li5yf2o "i don’t care what you say" I agree, you ignore the most simple facts.
"if he needs 20 minutes a game for 8 points that’s not good." Sorry, I dont speak casual.
"40% shooting is a good stat but efficiency isn’t always the answer because obviously they been doing something wrong." so obvious you couldnt name the things he's doing so wrong that he shouldnt get minutes.
" i’m blaming darvin ham" I know, you're obviously a LeBron bandwagon, thats the only thing they can do.
"him enticed to give him 20 minutes on the brink of elimination when jared didn’t play at all and he was cleared" yeah, throw in an inconsistent dude in that hasnt played since January for the elimination game against the champs the day he was cleared. Turn on your brain next time you write a comment.
Ham did a good job filling out his "assistant coach for life" resume during his time with the Lakers.
How many times are we gonna pretend the Lebron Lakers era is good enough to win the chip? How many teams have won with a 39 year old as their best player? How many times are the lakers going to win the offseason, have creators rank them as a top 4 seed, all for them to be a play in team. If I were LA (unpopular opinion coming) I would flip everyone on the roster and start from scratch. No team in sports ever does a complete reset until it is too late. Clearly the Lebron/AD thing isn’t going to get you another ring, blow it up. But the lakers won’t, and we get another season of fake competitive laker basketball
To be fair, I think AD is their best player now, and he's younger
@@prvb888 ad is just a complimentary star,
nah they can definitely still win (I’m a Sixers fan). They almost beat the Nuggets and the roster was built awfully around Bron and AD. Darvin Ham’s trash rotations didn’t help either
@@shyrusangoluan5509 lebron is not your ordinary 39 year old. Not when you put up numbers like he did in game 5 of the series. I don’t care what anybody dye. They need another star to complete the big 3 and see what happens.
I mean LeBron has blown up this roster how many times now? Maybe the Lakers should make business decisions instead of letting their second best player on the team make all the decisions
Ad said him and Bron had some conversation and couldn't wait... To get swept😭😭😭
LeBron: “I’ve decided that, this Finals series, I’m goin* to take my talents to … … … Cancun 🎣 ….”
I think the lakers best move for the off season is get another center so AD can play PF. Have Bron be the PG and fire Darvin Ham.
Well, if history of the LeBron era lakers is any indication...
At least half the existing roster won't be back next season
Pelinka will sign or trade for a bunch of guys
Lakers will be declared the winners of the offseason
A month into the season, all the new acquisitions will be in LeBron fans' trade machines
i mean, seems unfair to call losing against the best team in the league a failure but
the Lakers did handicap themselves by giving up so many games in the season due to terrible rotations and lack of fire, still though it was far from a perfect roster and even with the best coaching thats a lot to overcome against the top teams
Didn't Lakers fans say they had the best team in the league
@@nikithkadambi4208 what do you mean by lakers fans? you’re saying every single lakers fan said that? or just some idiots on twitter? but we were confident going into the season, the roster looked great on paper but Vincent barely played and when he did play he couldn’t hit anything, Wood ended up being a non factor, Vando was out most of the season and Christie didn’t have as big as a jump as we were hoping for
still tho, they were a pretty good team, just wasn’t good enough
Losing does equal failure.
Unless the goal was a first round exit, they failed.
I appreciate the fact that you said Den needs to play better because Min cruised to a victory over Phx. A die hard Phx fan here. Min beat our butts, saying that, they will need to be careful with Den. I think they can compete, but I think our series may have pumped them up a bit. We offered no resistance, at all. I don't think Den will do that. Should be a good series, Den in 6.
W video 🔥 u should drop a nuggets and wolves prediction next bro
Was just confirmed that porzingis is missing game 5
Will still be the last game of that series.
I think LeBron James had two game winners in his first playoff series against the Wizards in 2006.
From what I heard other people saying it was within the last 5 second that was Murray's achievement, people have obviously made 2 game winning shots in a playoff series before.
@@damboulton It's really only a technicality tho, since LeBron's was with 5.7 seconds left. So it's basically the same feat.
@@jordanmarcial3670good. Make a poster about 2 gamewinners under SIX seconds to put your guy there. I'll repost it.
@@jordanmarcial3670 all these NBA stats twitter accounts have to make some specific delineations for the records they say are broken every other day else they'd have nothing to post about 🤷♂ i don't make the rules 😂
@jordanmarcial3670 no it's not . 5.6s is a long time to get a shot for the other team
If LA can gez someone good for them in a lebron trade, then DO IT, ad is in his prime, the team is really good
What’s this talk of LeBron to the Warriors?
Lakers would be better off without LeGM
🤫
Dont talk about my sunshine like that😡😡
@@user-eq8in2xw6yGrow up.
Suns would better play without kd gm to
The coach is one of the worst in the league, lebron isn’t playing at his best because his potential is less with a trash coach. not the players faults it’s his.
Didn’t harden have 2 game winners vs the celtics last year?
Failure would normally be too strong a word to describe a team that almost won each game in a series, but when you consider that the Lakers would have been blown out in games 1, 4 and 5 if it weren't for the refs fixing those games, the Lakers did indeed fail.
AD rushed that last pass lol. Reaves was open
Everyone knows the Lakers should get rid of Lebron but nobody wants to outright say it
Exactly, he’s always the problem and he’s a coach killer.
If you get rid of lebron this lakers team goes in the gutter. There’s bigger issues this team have
@@juuiceboxx LeBron in namesake is good for the lakers but that’s about it
@@juuiceboxxso many teams are doing just fine without Lebron. It's not a foreign concept lol
I stg bro they be scared of what the Bronsexuals gon do
Thoughts on thunder getting AD and bron to 76ers?
We just gonna ignore the obvious issue here?
Prob best 5 game series since Lakers vs Magic finals
DARVIN bout to get fired... they should recruit Ty Lue if ever he gets fired from CLIPPERS, then make JJ and Rondo to be assistant coach.
Get a good 1 and trade Darvin
Or maybe the Lakers need to blow it up you got a chip now let it go
The Lakers aren’t going to win a chip again with LeBron and AD. The other teams are just too good.
Get rid of darvin and dlo and do what it takes to get Donovan Mitchell
Lakers in 8
Wrong. From the start of the season they have only 1 thing in their mind.... Win against the Nuggets. I say they did it. Win 2 games next year is the goal 😂.
Marc Jackson the solution ‼️
They need to rebuild and get rid of lebron for that team to heal. Honestly lebron needs to retire so the league can heal
As if he is the sole reason why the league is losing viewers.
@@urbaindelva7869 the NBA 'losing viewership' is untrue and misleading. Total TV viewers have declined from 6 million to 5 million on the Christmas game for example, but what that doesn't account for is STREAMING. I myself stream most games on my phone being that I work on the road. When you look at things like NBA league pass subscriptions you'd see that they're up 12 percent. And league pass viewership is up 13 percent globally. The only thing that's changed is the way we consume sports. But to say this isn't an exciting time in basketball and ppl aren't tuning in is untrue.
The Lakers have 0 EXCUSES but not being able to close in the clutch.
Which is not surprising when you have 2 chockers as leaders on your team.
Forget about Darvin Ham , LeBron and AD just COULDN'T FINISH GAMES
So Darvin Ham had no role in this? Not calling timeouts when the Nuggets made their runs, questionable rotations, wasting a timeout in Game 5. He did everything correctly?
@urbaindelva7869 dude, coaches can only do so much . Also let's be real LeBron is the coach.
He's supposed to have this super mega basketball iq , you think he can't ask for a time out?
The 5 guys on the floor are 90% responsible for losing the ball , not being focused on defense and missing their shots.
Blaming coaching is lame
Lakers were, are, and will be overrated as long as LeBron and AD are there. One's too old and can't impact winning when it matters. The other is basically broken and this year was an anomaly that he played 70+ games. They have like 1 pick until 2030 or so. There's nothing they can do outside of getting another scapegoat coach or trade AD. Maybe sign a ref or 2...lol.
Get rid of lebron he’s not worth it
Why is it always the coaches' fault? How many coaches has Lebron had in his career and why, well because he doesn't know how to play in any system other than his, he left Miami because he wanted the coach fired, the teams are building players and game systems and he follows his own system with the same
LeBron NEVER fails according to the media
thunder have won 1st of the four...cant wait for shai to hold the champ at the end of it all
Lebron sucks
Should-be-4-time-MVP Jokic stomped his ass
LeBron is the most overrated player ever 21 seasons and how many chips? His fanboys will always blame everyone except him
That is the worst take brother when he wins a chip he cairries he is 39 and putting up basically a 30 point triple double this series bro he just needs more help I hate to say it but he ain’t no prime Cleveland Lebron where he can carry any team and win bro
Tell me you didn’t watch the series without telling me you didn’t watch the series. L take G.
@@habadaba8236 I watched every game you clown. If LeBron is the leader and the goat this horrific tenure in LA is a joke
@@user-bm1ob3gv6z LeBron has never carried anything in his life. He's always had the most help. He literally has two all stars on his team Ad and DLO wtf are you talking about need more help? Pathetic. He always needs help but he's the goat 🤦🏿♂️💀 trash. 21 years and barely 4 chips. That's 17 years with Ls. Jordan only spent 13 years in Chicago. Jordan won 6 championships in 13 years with the same team. This isn't even close. LeBron is garbage
@@JaysolateDLo was an All Star only once, and that was 5 years ago on a mid-level team when the Eastern Conference was strapped for high-level talent. Also, you criticize LeBron for winning only 4 chips in 21 years, but players like Kobe won 5 in 20 years, and Dirk and KG both won one in 20 years. So, criticizing LeBron for that makes no sense. You said that LeBron has 17 years of Ls, which implies that every year he didn't win a championship was a failure. By that same logic, does Jordan have 7 years of Ls? He played 15 years, not 13. Does Kobe have 15 years of Ls? Do Dirk or KG have 19 years of Ls? No, because that's not how it works. No superstar is in title contention every single year of their career. Btw, yes, he has carried at least once: the 2018 Cavs.
But it's never LeBum's fault. He doesn't get enough help, or its the officials, or his teammates. The Lakers lead 71% of the time in the games against the Nuggets in these playoffs. They get three times as many free throws as any other team in the league. And yet LeBum loses and loses and loses. How anyone sees Mr. "not 5, not 6, not 7...that one right there made me the greatest of all time...and I want my damn respect too" the GOAT is an unbelievably hilarious joke. The Lakers will be so much better off once LeLoser slithers his way onto some other super team to lose there too.
The Lakers Didn’t Fail Darvin Ham Failed The LakersTo Be A Good Coach BRING BACK FRANK VOGEL😭🙁
With the Suns sweep, might as well bring Vogel back with the reports that he might be fired 😂
I’m not sure you want Vogel at the moment even if he did become available lol
Frank is a terrible offensive coach, Hamm isn't the right answer but Vogel isn't either. Lakers' roster still isn't good enough
weird way of saying Denver was the better and more talented team 🤡
😂😂😂😂Typical Lakers fans no logic just emotions
LeBum trash-talked Jokic, Russel had his redemption arc coming, Davis would be MVP. That was the expectation
the reality: Jokic, Murray, and FORMER LAKER Caldwell-Pope put James to shame, Russel can't do anything, Davis is useless to LeBum
Blame anyone but LeBron, it's never, ever LeBron's fault!
I'm sure the 4th coach in 6 years will finally not fail the self anointed "king". Do they call him the "goat" bc he scapegoats his teammates, coaches, & front offices for all *his* failures.
Let bron walk
Trade lechoke james he the reason why the lakers will never win another championship
even you don’t believe that ludicrous take 🤡
I thought the lakers off-season was overrated. Reddish, Wood, Vincent🥱
