The Lakers FAILED Again...

  • The Los Angeles Lakers, after coming into the season as championship contenders according to some, have just lost in the first round of the NBA Playoffs at the hands of the Denver Nuggets for the second year in a row. Jamal Murray hit them with a game winner, Nikola Jokic was dominant, and great series from LeBron James and Anthony Davis just weren't enough. This leads to an offseason full of questions. Will LeBron James stay? Do they pursue a top star like Trae Young or Donovan Mitchell? Do they just try to keep key role players like Austin Reaves, D'Angelo Russell, and Rui Hachimura? And, most of all, do any of these options make the Lakers real championship contenders or are they just wasting everyone's time? Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder finished their sweep of the New Orleans Pelicans, and the Boston Celtics went up 3-1 on the Miami Heat. Let's talk about it.

How many times are we gonna pretend the Lebron Lakers era is good enough to win the chip? How many teams have won with a 39 year old as their best player? How many times are the lakers going to win the offseason, have creators rank them as a top 4 seed, all for them to be a play in team. If I were LA (unpopular opinion coming) I would flip everyone on the roster and start from scratch. No team in sports ever does a complete reset until it is too late.
