- The Los Angeles Clippers are a franchise that has been an up and down roller coaster for most of their existence. To say that this team has had a long stretch of bad luck is possibly the biggest understatement ever. And with their most recent playoff failure it is another loss to a 40 year series of suffering. So in this video we are just going to go over how a talented and promising franchise like the Los Angeles Clippers became one of if not the most cursed team in NBA History.

I knew the Clippers were always cursed. 25 years ago i came from Norway to visit my favourite city of the whole world LA. Me and my friends rented a car and we were driving near the old Lakers stadium. We were bumping Warren G song Super Soul Sis. The only thing that messed up the mood was a big poster hanging on the side of the stadium showing the Clippers. My first thought was hell no. I came from the other side of the world to see the Lakers. Wtf is the Clippers? You dont come to LA as a tourist to watch the Clippers🤣🤣🤣

Clippers are cursed but they have an overrated front office. They had SGA but wanted to fasttrack their success by trading for PG and then ended up with Pumpkin P. Clippers need to change their name and do a full rebrand. That might be the only way to lift the curse.

Many people may not know or remember that the Clippers once had a playoff series drought of 30 years. They had a stretch where they went from 1976-2006 between winning playoff series and once had the longest all time playoff drought going between 1976-1992 which ironically enough Doc Rivers was on that ‘92 squad that made the playoffs. Go figure by the time the Clippers made a Western Conference Finals they had to do things the hard way without their best player in Kawhi Leonard. With the team moving into their own arena starting at the 2024-25 season, maybe they’ll find a way to break the curse.
In addition, the Sacramento Kings do have a case on being the most cursed NBA team as well considering that while they have won a championship they’ve relocated a few times and their last championship was all the way back in 1951 as the Rochester Royals.
I heard about the Clippers Curse since Highschool - now Im a humble functioning working man of society in my early 30s, I still believe in that curse.

The only curse the Clippers and Suns have is named Luka Doncic. Don't piss that man off. I am telling you. He is a great guy off the court but on that court he changes. For the people that hate the clippers and think they are a joke, that is exactly the reason why I like them. You see, I'm not a big basketball fan, I'm more of a nerd (anime and videogames) but when I had to play nba2k I wanted to play as the team that is considered a joke and play them ironically. Then, as I began to get to know the players (strengths and weakness) I began to root for the team sincerely, and from then on, my loyalty lies with the clippers (not the players) I will forever stick with the team through highs and lows (which is almost all the time) nothing can make me care about basketball unless its the clippers playing, then I'll give it a few minutes of my attention.
btw, the current clippers are probably the best version of the team right now but Lob City is what made me fall in love.

By watching this video, it only re-enforces some of the perceptions I had of them, that they were just mediocre and to me was always like a permanent lottery team and just one of the forever expansion team.

Chris Paul is just a legacy of bad luck and unfortunate situations. But we can't deny that some of it was on him as I mentioned 2014 or you can even mention some years in HOU or PHX. But injuries have also derailed his chances to possibly get a ring.
Kawhi I have some opinions on Kawhi that people aren't ready to talk about. We have see him dominate at a high level but we haven't seen him replicate his success in 2019. 2021 was the closest but he unfortunately tore his ACL. Kawhi is an amazing player but he has a lot of stuff that prevents him from being in the best in the world convos and all time rankings.
