Ouch to Satch. Do you think Joe is really trying to be EVH? He is a legend in his own right. He's playing the songs likely as HE would. That's the difference between a cover versus a tribute. Sammy also should be Sammy. If you want to see a tribute band, go see that. Legends don't need to copy someone else.
The guy that put down Satch has no clue! Let's see him go out there on a stage and kick ass on guitar and pay honor to a legend! Joe is doing fantastic!! He is tearing up these classic songs! Kudos to these guys on this tour!!
The sound? Joe nailed the Hagar era songs from a tone standpoint. Very difficult to do considering the setup is far more complicated then early VH. He had the wet/dry/wet thing dialed.
I saw the show in Tampa, watch it on YT...Joe nailed it...not EVH but he played the songs with precision and power...added his own thing to the songs. Michael Anthony did the majority of the singing, mbe a bad night but he carried 70% of the vocals
First of all, It’s not the best of both worlds tour. It’s the best of all worlds tour. Just read the poster and listen to the ads. It’s a celebration of Sammy Hagar‘s entire career with a deep dive into the Van Halen catalog. As for Joe Satriani, I was at the Alpharetta Georgia show and he absolutely killed it. I’m a huge Van Halen fan. Fan of both the Dave and the Sammy incarnations. I understand what you’re saying about the sound but he’s Joe Satriani, who taught Steve Vai how to play guitar by the way. Satriani I thought was phenomenal. They’re not trying to be a Van Halen tribute band. They are 4 artists/ musicians who have established themselves in the Rock world. They are putting their spin on all facets of Sammy’s career with the deep dive into Van Halen.
Would give Joe a 4.5 and the reason is simple. He’s not a replica otherwise you might as well mark him vs Ronnie Montrose? So he played it his way. And it sounded great.
Agree! He’s just at Joe Satriani. He’s a legend in his own right. He’s not some guy in a basement sitting around for eight hours. Trying to figure out how to sound exactly like Eddie Van Halen note for note.
@michaelnorman1571 well you are the exception. Look back at Sammy's interview on Howard stern. He said Satriana was brought in to play deep VH songs. Clearly, he was not referring to Hagar era songs. Maybe Joe can't play them. Dave songs have more swag and are harder.
Steve, I generously give your research a 3. Satch was never trying to ‘duplicate’ Eddie and this tour was never intended to be an ‘EVH tribute’. Both Satch and Sammy explained as much in multiple interviews before the tour. If you haven’t already listened to it, I suggest you tune in to Eddie Trunk’s 11/23/2023 podcast with the guys. They make their ambitions for the tour crystal clear. I travelled from Australia in July to see them at West Palm Beach. They were so good, I made an unplanned trip to Tokyo last week to see them again. Concert a ‘5’ and Satch 4.5 (both concerts I saw).
I’ve seen VH live many times in all forms from 1978 to the last. Greats shows to very good. Spending any time around Mikey l away from the music is always 5 stars. So awesome, and gracious with his time. Sammy has always been my go to legend and unfortunately only briefly met him once but great dude. My ex father in law is good friends with Sammy’s brother and we were invited to Sammy’s house in Lake Arrowhead for dinner and drinks I was over the moon. My father in law didn’t have Sammy’s address but verbal directions. We drove around all day finding nothing. To say I was disappointed is a massive understatement. The next night I stopped by a small pub in Wrightwood and it was empty except for a man sitting outside on the terrace. I joined him in conversation. He had long hair and thought he looked familiar. I asked him if he played in a rock band. He stated no, he was a meat manager at the local grocery store. He said he did however provide the meat and attended an awesome dinner party last night at Sammy Hagars house in which Sammy and Emeril Lagassi cooked dinner and made cocktails. Thats 2 days of my misery right there folks.
I was at the concert in Tampa. It was exactly what the crowd needed. The spirit, love, and energy was uplifting. It was a spiritual experience for everyone that was in my section. Loved it!
This is not an Eddie Van Halen tribute show. It’s a celebration of Sammys career. Chickenfoot, solo, Satch Boogie. Some people won’t give this tour the props they need. This is a joke.
You reviewed the show with the wrong expectations. First, from the day this tour was announced with Joe Satriani, it was known and said by Sammy himself that Satch would not try to sound like Eddie because he simply can't and because he is Joe Satriani. You don't invite Joe Satriani to dress up as Eddie Van Halen and imitate him, like in a tribute band. Not even Steve Vai played like Eddie with DLR and this has been said several times by Steve himself. Second, this tour is a celebration of Van Hagar, everyone knows that. And so Sammy sang the same Dave-era songs that he always sang. Sammy never sang Hot For Teacher or Jamie's Cryin'. So it wouldn't be now. So, if you revise your expectations for what the show actually is, I imagine your review will be different. 🙂
Lost me at Satch gets 3.5 but Vai would have done it better? Vai would have done Vai, that's what he does, it would have sounded like Steve Vai shoe horned into a Van Halen show. Also, it's not a 'tribute' show with some guy just aping Eddie, it's a run through of Sammy's career.
You didnt get it obviously. This is a Sammy Hagar tour of his career highlights, but both Sammy/Mike and Alex VH and DLR picked Joe as the guy they would want in there tours precisely because he would not try to be a note for note guy. Of course a guy making his whole career out of being an Eddie mimic could do it with his Eddie clone rig and guitar, as I am sure there are singers out there that could do it better than Sammy/Dave at their current age. In my opinion, you misunderstood the goal and had unrealistic expectations. Joe is Eddies peer and the same age as Eddie, he didnt grow up with posters on his wall trying to play these songs, he started playing them for first time 8 months ago, then went on tour with Vai/Johnson, then a solo tour with Vai, made an album with Vai, then started rehearsing with Sam in June. Eddie never wanted to play the old stuff with Sam or Gary and never played note for note or worried about switching guitars or amps for the old stuff, or Steinberger/Sustainiac stuff from 5150, he rolled with his new amps and played how he wanted, I saw him multiple times with Dave/Sam/Gary.The crowd was engaged in all the videos…everyone I talked to that has been at the shows is super impressed and having a blast, I cant wait to see them in Vancouver on 8.14.24. If the show is disappointing on any level I will stand corrected and say so but I think your a bit overboard in the critique and missed the point of the show
I understand your take. I’m more in the camp of others who say the tour never implied it was a tribute to EVH, only a celebration of it and notably, other Sammy songs in his solo career and even a Satch tune. Based on the clips I’ve heard , Joe is right in the wheelhouse of most all of the rhythm guitar work. And his tone is stellar. The solos , I actually like that he imparts his own personality into of them because he’s an accomplished musician in his own right as opposed to some bar guy who can cop Eddies solos.
I think you are way off! This is a tribute to Van Halen period. Sammy is doing 3 Dave songs...Dave wouldn't touch a Sammy Song. I want to hear the Sammy Era tunes as they haven't been played live in years. Van Halen did the Dave tour already. Funny....zero Sammy tunes. Dave is a shell of his hey day. He is cringy to listen and watch today. I'm not a huge Satriani fan, but he is playing the songs the way he wants to in his style. Which IMO is the right choice. There are a ton of EVH clones out there...like Dave toured with, and it was dreadful. I wish Sammy and friends all the best for this tour. And for you folks who call this a grab the cash tour ... Sammy doesn't need the money...he's doing this for the fans. Enjoy it because once he's done, so is Van Halen.
Zero Sammy tunes because that's not what most want to hear. Just because Sammy doesn't need money doesn't mean it's not a cash grab. Years ago he talked about doing a tour at cost or even free for the fans, but never even looked into it. The 2004 tour where Eddie was off the wagon and didn't shower much, instead of leaving the tour because the shows weren't good and giving the fans back their money, he stayed because it would cost HIM to leave.
I don’t think this was or is supposed to be an EVH tribute tour or show. This is a Sammy Hagar legacy tour straight from Sammy Hagar’s mouth when they were on Howard stern. I think people are getting the wrong idea of what’s this is. People are wanting or thinking it’s supposed to be some sort of Freddie Mercury tribute concert 1992 or Taylor Hawkins Wimbly stadium concert. This is straight up a Sammy Hagar best of all worlds legacy tour going deep into the van Hagar era songs. Going deep into Montroes, best of Sammy solo stuff, some zeppelin, etc etc…but I never thought this was a straight up tour to celebrate EVH’s life. I mean in the beginning of the show on the large TV screens, there not one video or picture of EVH up there. So….anyway…Sammy Hagar is doing what Sammy Hagar does best….and that’s being Sammy Hagar, doing Sammy Hagar.
Joe isn’t trying to COPY Eddies playing. 95% of Eddies sound came from his hands and mind. So - Not possible. Yeah, I don’t want to hear Maz Tequila or ICD-55……… Not even Jump……… They should have dug deeper. I’ll Wait, Sinners Swing, And the Cradle Will Rock or maybe one Cherone era song. I’m seeing the show in Vegas in a few weeks. The last Van Halen show w/ Dave I saw was at the MGM Garden arena in 2012 and the last time I saw Sammy with VH at the Mandalay Bay Arena in Vegas in 2004. This will wrap up & finish with the last live Van Halen (related) concert era for me. It’s a wrap !! I will still see Wolfgang Van Halen live, if he continues on his own musical path. I’ve seen him twice & like his music. He’s getting it !!
The ugly is the ticket prices are insane at our venue. Fairly decent seats going between $800.00 - $3500.00, floor tickets $8000.00 plus…. Super far back in the grass tickets $250.00….. California rip off!
Rewatched a Hagar '83 cocert and reminded what a big deal he was. The Van Hagar era for me is about what Hagar did to make VH better, and he allowed them to not die in the Grunge reckoning, no way Roth takes them thru that. Hagar does. I love the Roth stuff too, and EVH certainly a guitar god, but he aint selling records without Hagar in the 90's. Period.
In all live shows Sam has literally done, Jump (the worst VH song ever)Aint Talkin Bout Love, you really got me (not a VH song) and Panama.. Do we want to hear Sam sing Dave songs?? I don't
It's proof he's a hypocrite . After all the lies and 🐂💩 Alex and Edward put up with , Sam's all about the money . And HIS narcissism . He can't sell his own overrated 💩ty music since he quit . He lost many of his fan base for what he did to the Halen Bros .
I totally agree with all of your ratings. I was at the first show (WPB). Satch is a great guitarist, but he didn't do the songs justice. Forget the tone, nobody will duplicate EVH there. Joe just didn't hit or play the right notes, particularly in the solos. Even his timing was off in the solos. Frankly, it seems as if he didn't spend enough time getting to know and practicing the songs before the tour.
Guess we're just a couple of years away from a VH "Cover-Tribute" tour. Where the guitarist plays almost exactly the way Eddie would have. Honestly, I appreciate both forms of tribute and I'd very much like to see that. Concerning Joe, people might not understand that part of his motivation is making music. By definition, he has to insert his personality into the equation. So, he has to express himself, too. A difficult equation to solve. Just sit back and enjoy it. Regarding an Eddie clone... Someone with that depth of knowledge and ability would essentially be channeling Eddie. That would be pretty cool, too. Both scenarios are possible.😊
I totally agree with the 3.5 rating for Joe. I thought he would really be better than he was. There was no "feeling" in the songs from him. It was too structured. It didn't flow.
OK, saw the show in Las Vegas last night. 3.5 stars for the entire show is a very accurate overall show score. I feel they focused WAY TOO MUCH TIME on the 5150 and F.U.C.K. albums. I would have liked to hear more off Balance and OU812. I also kinda misunderstood this show. What I thought would be more of a EVH tribute was actually a bait & switch that ended up just being a regular Sammy Hagar solo show. I love Joe Satriani and his guitar playing and tone was INCREDIBLE. I give him 5 stars for that but he did “Satch Boogie” instead of an EVH solo medley which kinda didn’t hit right. I know Satch could have nailed it if he tried. He was really good but it wasn’t enough of a tribute to EVH overall. The tickets were expensive because people thought it was the last hurrah to see something like this but it wasn’t that special to me. The show’s production values were a little disappointing also. Cheap stage, lighting was mediocre and a small video wall with projection screens on the sides. It was very low budget. The sound system and mix was awesome though. It was 20 year old aesthetics with 2024 ticket prices.
I agree Jason is best I've seen him..he really put out...the tour really isn't a tribute to Eddie...should have been more..no special guests...I know there are Eddie clones out there but non we're found ?
This just like the pantera situation there can never be any1 like Dime what more with EVH, Satriani is just doin his thing he's doin a great Job of it.
I thought The Seventh Seal was filler but I wonder if this song has special meaning for Sammy. Sammy hated singing the DLR songs but there were so many great songs from that era.
Van Halen 1 and women and children first they are my two favorite albums and what other thing I was hoping and praying that Alex are at least Wolfgang would show up to one of these shows I know Alex was a long shot but I thought they really had a shot of getting Wolfgang and that would have been awesome he could have nailed those guitar parts
Remember this is a Sammy Hagar concert. He's playing VH songs plus songs from his career. It's a good show but it's not VH concert. You'll have a good time if you don't expect a VH concert. I'm seeing them next . month in LA
You're way off on everything except Michael Anthony. Joe had the right sound It was pretty damn close and he doesn't hit all the right notes but he hits the Joe notes and it sounds fucking great because he's doing Joe playing Van Halen He's not trying to be an Eddie clone. I don't know when I heard you say that it was very irritating So I'll be unsubscribing thank you Have a nice day 👎
It’s in the title. Best of all worlds tour. Why would you expect DLR stuff? I don’t know if you play guitar, (I’m thinking you don’t) but it was NOT AN EVH Tribute. But it was great show. Vai would not have done it. Period. Joe is Joe not Ed. Wolf is as close as it gets now. But Joe did a great job. Every one is older and it’s not going to sound like 86. Just listen to the albums and let the rest of us enjoy the show.
I agree 100% JS should not be the guy here. Steve Vai , Nuno Bettencourt would have been fantastic as well. Hell Satchel from Steel Panther plays EVH better than JS.
Brilliant show, great musicians however.... It's not the EVH tribute I was expecting. I haven't seen a show but have seen plenty of vids to have a good idea what it would be like. I even heard Sammy say it was a celebration of his own career and that the VH era was a big part of it. So if one goes with and open mind and a love for Sammy and the boys I would imagine they would enjoy it.. but its not the EVH tribute that most expected. Shame that Joe didn't use EVH gear then maybe he would sound more like Eddie ...but something tells me that Joe didn't want to do that and just wanted to play the songs his way. I agree that both Michael and Sammy's vocals weren't as good as they have been on past tours but we all know they love to drink and aren't as young as they once were... All things considered I'm glad they are doing it and will go if they come to town. Jason is killing it the most... VH forever!
I think people are coming into the show thinking it's a Van Halen tribute band. It's not. As Sammy said early on in the show, it's a celebration of Sammy's career (mostly). Going in with that in mind, I thought it was a great show and I'd pay to see it all over again. Other than a couple technical difficulties during the show, I have nothing to complain about.
I wanted to go locally, but it is still completely sold out. What? No Running With The Devil on the supposed setlist with Michael Anthony singing? Not a legit Van Halen concert without that song. Give Joe a big thumbs up. He's not Eddie. We all miss the big guy Eddie in the room. RIP.
You did in fact misunderstand the entire show. It was never billed as a evh tribute tour. It's all about Sammy's career.....he'll, he even says that during the show. Why would he do Montrose and solo hagar songs if it was abevh tribute? You totally missed the mark on this one
Sammy doesn't want to sing the Dave stuff. come on Steve! Have you never seen Van Halen Live? Sammy not doing hot for teacher bro. I've seen 25 VH shows. I'm sorry but if you think Sammy should be doing DLR songs, I Dunno man. You missed the boat.
Come on, really! Just cuz Sammy’s older, it’s like a disability, plus half the songs he actually wrote and used to sing it right. Almost every singer that gets older can’t hit the high notes like they used to. But actually I think there older women that still can. But I’ve actually noticed the last Ozzy concert I went too, they must have tuned their instruments down lower so it seemed like Ozzy was hitting the high notes. Then I realized that a lot older bands do that. And ya gotta remember Joe gave Steve lessons. And the big thing I really have a BIG PROBLEM with is, I WASNT THERE! And I’m JEALOUS! 😂 ✌🏼
To Me The Funny Part Was Notes He Didn't Hit He Hit On Other Songs So I was Confused On Why Not All Of Them No Disrespect To Sammy I Just Didn't Get It
@@Scott__C No, the instruments were actually tuned down lower cuz I videoed some of the songs at the Ozzy concert that I went too and when I got home I hooked up the video to my TV and stereo to play my guitar along with the tunes that I video recorded and they weren’t tuned in normal standard tuning or even a half step lower, it was tuned even lower in D standard which is most likely closer to what Zak Wilde’s guitar tunings are with his band Black Label Society. Cuz Zak was playin for Ozzy which was if I had to guess a good 5 years ago give or take. But Yeah, I mean they could have had some kind of mic pedal that Ozzy could have used too. ✌🏼
@@sixstringhans-tone5574 They would've done that at the mixing console. I saw Ozzy appear on Letterman's show probably like 15 or so years ago and and the effect was really obvious when he yelled stuff like 'Clap Your Hands' in between lyrics.
Sammy had lied from day one….put Satch on the spot, and Meanstreet hasn’t been played this tour. I wasn’t gonna bother. I’m so sick of Sammy talking for all these years. He needs to shut his mouth. Only Mike mentioned Ed, it’s more of a Hagar tribute show…this was supposed to be VH, yet he’s playing solo songs, and Satch Boogie and pulling out then Eddie frankenstrat but for MAs Tequila only? wtf? Smh….i would cross the street to see Sammy with a free ticket.im grown to dislike that man. Is Dave perfect? No. But at least when he was in the band the were called the mighty Van Hakeem. Decent rating, but I’d switch Satch to Sam’s rating and vice versa and they’re lucky to get that, but 5 for JB? Ok…he’s not that good imho. He played good with Heart…..but if you feel that…I respect you opinion Steve. Rock on!
Satch should have used Marshall stacks and a fender or charvel strat. He always used weird guitars and weird amps that don’t sound right. I have a Marshall half stack and a fender fat strat in my bedroom that sounds better than Satch’s rig.
To anyone who says Satch didn't use any of EVH guitars (and yes its probably not an original,) ruclips.net/video/pnlRhbqtQCk/видео.htmlsi=nLm6WE9scHSBrmMo
This show's you Eddie was the best because satch sounds terrible Sammy can't sing anymore Michael is still great and would have saved Roth terrible vocals on the last VH tours
Wow, what a dinosaur this guy is... sorry, Satch 3.5, are you mad? The whole point was to sound like Eddie but maintain some of Satch's own style. Otherwise just hire one of these kids on youtube. You really missed the point and sound stuck in the past. Vai would have done the same, he'd have had his own tone and quirky techniques. This was a great tour and Satch in about 4 months leant that catalogue well.
I was jazzed when I heard the tour announced. Saw the RUclips clips and opted not to go. Weak set list. Why Panama and Jump? Why? All because MA played on them? Also why like 4 or 5 tunes off of 5150? He's got too many good albums to choose from.
They can't play many of the songs because they're Ed's songs . He's literally a pain in the butt to copy . Steve Vai would have been a better player to be there .
I reviewed the song set list and it is all Van Hagar and solo Hagar stuff. Yawn…hot dog time. Are they donating some of the proceeds to a EVH favorite charity? Does not sound like a EVH tribute.
Satch wasn’t trying to duplicate EVH’s sound. He put his own style on it which I can respect. From what I have seen, he’s pretty solid. At least a 4.
Agree.
Because he can’t…
Can you believe he has settled to play someone’s music…me neither because he can’t!
He’s a still by the book for himself….

Just saw the Charlotte show from the third row. I had a blast! I couldn't ask for a better show.
I was third row too. GREAT show!
I saw the show in Vegas and it was a 5 star for me on all levels. Joe was amazing, he's not trying to duplicate Eddie.
It was a Sammy Hagar show with a tribute to EVH. I thought the show was great, and Satch was awesome. I give him a 4.5.
Agree completely..

Well said.
This is straight up a Sammy Hagar best of all worlds
legacy tour going deep into the van Hagar era songs.
Damn glad they stopped here in Charlotte!!!! Best damn show I have seen since the 80’s!!!!!!
Maybe it's the big VH in the promo material and him saying there'd be a deep dive of VH songs.
Joe isn’t trying to COPY Eddies playing. 95% of Eddies sound came from his hands and mind. So - Not possible.
Yeah, I don’t want to hear Maz Tequila or ICD-55……… Not even Jump………
They should have dug deeper.
Yeah, Mas Tequila was when Sammy jumped the shark for me, basically putting out an album to promote his tequila. Terrible song.
The ugly is the ticket prices are insane at our venue. Fairly decent seats going between $800.00 - $3500.00, floor tickets $8000.00 plus…. Super far back in the grass tickets $250.00….. California rip off!
I believe it would be hard for anyone to capture the feel and rhythm that Eddie Van Halen had,RIP EVH 🤟
Period.
You have Roth fans and Hagar fans, it doesn't matter. I was a Hagar fan long before Van Halen
i saw the show in Holmdell NJ and I think my man completely nailed it!!!!
Having Sammy sing Hot For Teacher wouldn't work. That is a DLR song inside and out.
Typical clueless reviewer
What do I think? I think you need new ears! They just rocked Charlotte! 5’s all the way around! Glad they did this!
In all live shows Sam has literally done, Jump (the worst VH song ever)Aint Talkin Bout Love, you really got me (not a VH song) and Panama.. Do we want to hear Sam sing Dave songs?? I don't
other than 7th seal,5150 and judgment day, sammy's been playing the same songs every tour. he put the VH in the title of the tour to sell tix.
Summer Nights also new addition this tour
It's proof he's a hypocrite . After all the lies and 🐂💩 Alex and Edward put up with , Sam's all about the money . And HIS narcissism . He can't sell his own overrated 💩ty music since he quit . He lost many of his fan base for what he did to the Halen Bros .
Top of the world, oh Yeah, Panama, jump as well. Dude doesn't know what he's talking about
His review is spot on. In some cases Joes Solos were way off. Wolfe should be playing on the tour. He sounds exactly like his dad.
The Eddie tribute will be Alex's book
Agree! 🤘
Michael Anthony is a V.I.P! He is the savior of this band and has been for decades!
Joe´s and Sammy´s material no way. I think There is one way to Rock, because VH played on every tour with Sammy.
Yeah. Clearly didn't really put the effort toward some of the things he said about it.
I totally agree with the 3.5 rating for Joe. I thought he would really be better than he was. There was no "feeling" in the songs from him. It was too structured. It didn't flow.
I too would agree with you.....been playing and listening to VH since they started laying tracks and its not the same.....
And, the posts made a big deal of Joe using some of the EVH guitars, but the couple videos I saw he was only using his own Ibanez models.
Hey Where Were You Sitting I Was There !!
I saw the set list for the first show looked awesome to me.. Going to see them August 2nd can’t wait
Nuno would have been perfect because he's got the tone and the Eddie feel. Satch is fantastic but doesn't have that swagger.
Dave can’t sing the Dave stuff
Dave can’t sing period anymore lol
he nailed it!!
I thought The Seventh Seal was filler but I wonder if this song has special meaning for Sammy. Sammy hated singing the DLR songs but there were so many great songs from that era.
Totally agree van Hagar tribute
I think the drinking on stage by senior citiizens is a bit much...-1 star for that.
I'm seeing them next . month in LA
You don’t criticize like the way you do ! You’re not a musician! And come on they are better than the younger ones!
I agree with your assessment of Joe Satriani, his guitar tone lacks crunch . The Ibanez guitars just sound weak to my ears.
You're way off on everything except Michael Anthony. Joe had the right sound It was pretty damn close and he doesn't hit all the right notes but he hits the Joe notes and it sounds fucking great because he's doing Joe playing Van Halen He's not trying to be an Eddie clone. I don't know when I heard you say that it was very irritating So I'll be unsubscribing thank you Have a nice day 👎
I have tickets to see Sammy in mid-August. I'm looking forward to it. I also saw Sammy back in the early 80s.
I give the tour a zero kids!!
I think they sound great
Brilliant show, great musicians however....
Well If It Was A Celebration Of Sammy's Career He Sure Left Out Alot !
Then why is he doing Dave songs!!
@@garyrouleau4676 'cause he likes them.
I think you nailed it, Joes sound was too saturated
It's not a eddie tribute. It's a tribute to van halen music
RIP.
They're in Charlotte tonight. A couple buddies are going. I opted not to.
Doubt I would waste the cash either......
You did in fact misunderstand the entire show. It was never billed as a evh tribute tour. It's all about Sammy's career.....he'll, he even says that during the show. Why would he do Montrose and solo hagar songs if it was abevh tribute? You totally missed the mark on this one
Space Station #5? I saw him do that in 1983. Seems like he put not a lot of effort into this.
Im going to the L.A.show and i hope they tweak the setlist.
Yeah, let's have Sucker in a 3 Piece or Big Fat Money. 🙄
Satch just doesn’t have the Eddie feel
To Me The Funny Part Was Notes He Didn't Hit He Hit On Other Songs So I was Confused On Why Not All Of Them No Disrespect To Sammy I Just Didn't Get It
@@thestevechampagneradioshow7294 Well yeah, that’s weird then! I shoulda been there I guess……lol ✌🏼
Ozzy probably was either autotuned or someone was backstage doing his parts.
Rock on!
Sammy doesn't want to sing the Dave stuff.
That's obvious. But, no matter how he wants to deny it, the Dave era is what people think of when they think of VH.
Satch should have used Marshall stacks and a fender or charvel strat. He always used weird guitars and weird amps that don’t sound right. I have a Marshall half stack and a fender fat strat in my bedroom that sounds better than Satch’s rig.
Satriani was vai teacher.
The SH logo looks like a 54…guess they couldn’t do 55….
I wouldn't pay this money to see a bunch of burnt out rockers.
Bonham is totally the wrong choice for this. He has none of Al's groove. Good drummer, just not right for this imho.
To anyone who says Satch didn't use any of EVH guitars (and yes its probably not an original,)
ruclips.net/video/pnlRhbqtQCk/видео.htmlsi=nLm6WE9scHSBrmMo
HARD disagree about Satch
Joe seems souless n lacks EVH groove . Hes plays EVH as Joe. This was MEANT to be a TRIBUTE. Its all me me me me when it comes to Sammy
I thought you were gonna do a set list rundown...
I'll give your review a 2. You are unedcated about this tour.
Then Educate me @EddieLance
This show's you Eddie was the best because satch sounds terrible Sammy can't sing anymore Michael is still great and would have saved Roth terrible vocals on the last VH tours
Satch and Vai are pretty much the same
I'm Thinking Vai Is Better Personally
Vai>Satch
Yea I’m with you. The little I’ve seen on YT, I’m just not sold on it. Sorry!
I reviewed the song set list and it is all Van Hagar and solo Hagar stuff. Yawn…hot dog time.
Are they donating some of the proceeds to a EVH favorite charity?
Does not sound like a EVH tribute.
It's a ripoff elevator music FAKE CASH-GRAB TRIBUTE
All Van Hagar? I didn’t know Jump, Panama, and Ain’t Talking Bout Love, were Hagar era songs? Lol
@@chrisgarcia9629 it's a FAKE cash-grab rip-off elevator music tribute
Its a tuned-down mess.
Atomic punks are better than this Sammy craaap
I don’t think you were hard enough for the reasons you described.
Next Time I'll Be Tougher Overall The Concert Was Good But If Was A EVH Tribute They Blew The Setlist
Spammy and Satch sound SO bad kids!!!
TERRIBE TOUR!!!!!
