    Hi Kun and please allow me to call you Shifu 🙏😋
    I am currently facing an interesting phase, and I cannot wait to share with you. This week in my reflection, I noticed two things. (1). I get more autonomy at work; I am using this autonomy to create further helpful tools/scripts the team can use. (2). I get increasingly worried about what my next project would be: I have one or two components that I want to work on, but I don’t know how to communicate with my manager that this is what I want to work on. (Usually they require certain level of familiarity and expertise, so I need to show people I can get hands-on without others to handhold).
    I planned to look for bugs in the component and try to fix it. However, generally, people would find it strange if I suddenly start to ask questions about how one component (not related to my current project) works. Is this the best way to show my enthusiasm and competency? If so, should I work on overcoming my fear of asking teammates outside of what I work on now? I believe many junior engineers also face similar problems, and I would love to talk about my personal experience to brainstorm what are some of the good ideas to navigate with autonomy (and persuade people that they can trust me with the project). I am anxious, but I have a good heart and I want to be a good and driven engineer.

      Before I can give you good answers, I'd like to clarify a bit - when you said you had more "autonomy", which case below looks closer to your situation?
      1. You have a lot of very impactful work waiting in your TODO list, but no one's telling you which one to work on. People trust you and are expecting you to decide what's the best strategy.
      2. You don't have a lot of work items in your backlog, or you are not sure whether they would be impactful.
