Well, I think that a menger sponge can't exist in the physical world. It's just a Void Cube (a Rubrik's Cube without the center pieces, a bit harder variant of the puzzle).

All the little differences in this game, from dialogue choices to version-specific text, they all just hit me in the feels. By simply replying yes or no to N questioning whether the player has a dream in Chargestone Cave, you can get different farewell dialogues:
*When your reply was "yes," in Pokémon Black Version:* _"[Player]! You said you have a dream… That dream… Make it come true! Make your wonderful dream a reality, and it will become your truth! [Player]! If anyone can, it's you! Well, then… Farewell!"_
*When your reply was "no," in Pokémon Black Version:* _"Dream your dream! Follow the path of truth to make that dream a reality, and someday you will achieve all that you dreamed of! Well, then... Farewell!"_

Seriously, the amount of detail in these games astound me.

Being 6 years old listening to his theme, seeing how cool his design looked, his diverse team each time we fought, I was too young to understand his character and his purpose, but I just knew he was to be understood, and so after Nimbasa, I started to read the dialogue of his, knowing it was important to his story.
Now I'm looking back, Black and White probably has the best towns/cities out of all the games, thinking about Nimbasa and the fight against him there. If I want a remake, it'd have to be Black and White.

@@bed-matt black and white 2 weren’t exactly remakes. think of it as a show with series: 2 wasn’t a whole revamp of the series, but it might show some new characters and a different story. the games were 2 years apart, so bw2 were still on the same console, too.

N is my favorite character in the franchise and one of the reasons gen 5 is still my favorite nearly a decade later. Gotta love his development over the course of the game. Especially now that I can appreciate the quality if his character arc considering I was 10 when I first played through it

One of the most memorable battles was when I battled him in Nimbasa City and his Sigilyph would always ko my team. I despised Sigilyph due to this, however eventually caught one and it’s now one of my favorite Pokémon to use in Unova
then there’s emolga with elesa, who is always awful
I remember going in the amusement park to find team galactic and finding him I thought he will team up and fight a double battle with team plasma, and then he asked to ride the Ferris wheel and i went "wow that's nice of him!" And then he said he was the king of team plasma... My jaw dropped but at the same time i went crazy cuz i was a weird kid and always liked villains. I will never forget that moment..

I can understand annoyance of grinding and yeah a lot of dialogue but it was story based and it still has the best story (in my opinion). But I don't understand why it has to be hated hell BW2 also has lots of dialogue still better than most other games story wise cause there was something to tell and lore that isn't vague.
@@Daddo-Penguin Yep. Hated dialogue in the games when I was younger, but now I don't mind. I also think it's the best story, and I loved BW2 too, if not more than BW1. I also like the 5. gen pokémon, and don't care if a pokémon is based on trash or ice cream lol. Would be nice with some returning characters from those games... :')

The evil team won once and almost won twice. (N beating the champion in BW and Team Plasma successfully making an entire city go in chaos in BW2)
And in other games it didn't happen much with evil team, only in ORAS I think it happened something over gen 5

The battle at Nimbasa is my favorite second only the Final battle. N casually revealing he is the King of Team Plasma; that sick intro art as the theme comes on makes that battle so memorable.

You know why gen 5 rules since characters actually have personally, Ghetitis greed is finally shown, 33:59. I love how he corrects himself! ALSO at 34:30, I LOVE HOW HE IS SITTING ON HIS THRONE! My god GEN 5 NEEDS a REMAKE with VOICES!
Gen 5 was shit, the pokemon were shit and N wasn't anything special. Just another lunatic, just like Archie, Maxie and Cyrus.

Looking back, I really under-appreciated just how great of a character N was when I first played Black and White.
To me black and white had the greatest story and experience,new fresh feeling because only new pokemon you could catch before beating the pokemon,the amount of pokemon ,unlimited use of tms,seasons.

Pretty much his main character flaw, he had a bit of a superiority complex, and while he may be able to Hear Pokémon, he might not have always Listened to them. As I’m certain a lot of Pokémon that team plasma took were not happy with being separated from their trainers
N... man he was awesome in the Pokemon B/W/B2/W2 series, he character development & his back story is truly special. Not my favorite region but has one of my favorite Pokemon characters in N.

3 years late, but I think one of the reasons people hated it so much is cause they didn't allow any of the older pokemon in gen 5 until post game. So most of the complaints where more prominent with the designs of the newer pokemon in this gen than others.

I'm replaying White after years, never made it past Elite Four because of certain Ghost and Psychic members. But damn it I love N's battles and the castle theme I used the Oshawott line but I changed to Tepig line (sorry little otter buddy). Hopefully I'll make it to the finale it's too good to pass up.

Just wanted to say I first played this game about 8 years ago. Coming back because I think I understand the whole philosophical concept of truth va ideals and im looking for more info from N's dialog...
It took me 8 years to understand this game.
No shame, it’s a a very well thought out concept especially for a Pokemon game .

Really cool how if you use Fusion Flare/Bolt after N uses Fusion Bolt/Flare, its power doubles and has a different animation and actually does a lot of damage. That combined with N's dragon being a higher level so it always goes first -- its like they wanted you to click the move to open the final battle with it.
It's a shame that we only had one pokemon gen with this style of sprites and animations

Small bit of immersion, but all of the Pokemon and use before The final battle are from the local area meaning he releases them.
One of the best thing about this is that his theme changes when from when you casually fight him to when he's the final boss

holy shit, only just realized that at 35:09, N has a sound byte speaking the name of the Legendary Dragon he uses in either Black or White. the small details always get me.
I feel like seismitoad is just an amazing Pokemon in unova grass is damn rare in unova but another problem is that water is even rarer but seismitoad makes up for that and tms can really help it and it can surf thus getting you more tms and it can end up with coverage like drain punch and sludge bomb my point is that if you need a damned overpowered water type in unova your only real choice is seismitoad but anyway good video
