I love the concept of "50 hour" but absolutely love you use the Unova region! Gen 5 is my favourite Pokemon Generation.
The main story was such a blast! A little underwhelmed by post game but I heard the sequel makes up for that.

Besides you lusting over my favorite starter as a meal, this was an amazing video to watch! It was nice to hear that your first travel through the Unova region was a pleasant one, it's story, music and aesthetic is one of my favorites of all the regions!!
Hey, have you noticed that all of N's teams aside for his very last one are made of pokémon that can be found locally? Instead of catching them he just asks the local fauna to help him out, and releases them immediately after. He may be misguided, but he's completely genuine when he says he just wants to help pokémon- his backstory being downright horrifying probably didn't help his mistrust of humans.
He may not be the king of Team Plasma anymore, but he's sure been the king of my heart for the past twelve years... I mean, uh, what.
(Also I'm sure other people have pointed it out already, but the main characters in BW are actually anywhere from 14 to 16 years old. Also, since several pieces of pokémon media estabilish that pokémon can and will disobey or even hurt humans if they don't respect them enough, see Pikachu in both the early anime and manga series, Iris is actually completely right. Keep in mind that most humans in the pokémon universe don't have powers *or* a main character status, so it's definitely rare for one to be such a terrifying presence that a pokémon will stay with them even if they hate their guts... Ghetsis just so happens to be one of those rare cases. Canon has been estabilishing the relationship between humans and pokémon as mostly utopic and largely mutualistic for the longest time.)
Ghetsis is a psychopath. N should make a return in modern pokemon games (although i think most pokemon games try to establish their own identity rather than try to rely on the past to carry their generation). Although Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon brought back so many characters it was a rare case. Same with Gold Silver bringing back Kanto. I know some people theorize in the new generation that in the top right of the map it could be a generation we’ve explored before (Kalos or Unova perhaps?) but i’d love to hear that N is safe and sound somewhere

I'm pretty sure MatPat has proposed in most of his videos that our favorite critters have human biology and are used to fight in blood sports to the death (faint, but Lavender Town proves they can in fact die). So if anything, N's defense of Pokemon is even more critical because Pokemon used to be humans too (I heard this in MatPat's video about Nurse Joy being a Pokemon herself, which really gets awkward when you think about Pokemon having relationships with humans). So N, defend our Pokemon!

You should go a completionist route for this - max level trainer card, and all possible decorations that can be added to your room (essentially complete the National Dex and achieve certain win streaks in the Battle Subway).

Unova starters are underrated. They’re definitely better than gen 6 starters minus greninja.

I’ve been spending way too long grinding (EV wings, battle points, levels, etc.) in my current play through of Pokémon White. I’m at a little over 100 hours and I haven’t even beaten the main story yet.
Dude you should do a wife lock. Show your wife every encounter on each route and let her pick one for each. She also picks your starter.
I don't really see any difficulty in this. She'll just pick the one that's new and looks the best and that will make for a pretty OP team I think.

Man, I loved Gen 5. B2W2 was also really good. I think the main story was weaker, but the post game was good and the dex variety was great too.
Also, you can cheese the ghost and psychic battles in the elite 4 with a Zoaroark disguised as a fighting type because they will only attack with psychic.
I always have my Zoro disguised as a Crobat. Same deal for baiting Psychic moves, but it also guarantees that they'll never go for a Fighting or Bug move.
I had my Zoro disguise herself as a Blaziken. Pretty much steamrolled the Psychic and Ghost elite 4 members.
Fun fact, the Lucario and Blaziken in my Black game are Half-Brothers, both having access to Blaze kick and Sky Uppercut. And while we're on the subject of Poké-siblings, the Lucario and Zoroark in my Ultra Sun game are half-siblings, their father being a Zoroark.

I’m getting Pokémon Black this week, and I watched this to see the story of it and I’m really looking forward to it, only things I’m going to do different, I’m going to pick Oshawott, the water starter!
How did you find it? I played it as a kid but can't decide if I want to buy black or black 2
@@SniP3rHavOk I’d say buy Black, it’s story is a bit better than Black 2, the Pokédex in Black 2 is a bit bigger, but in Black you can catch a legendary as part of the main story, whereas in Black 2 you can’t catch Kyurem (the Legendary) until after you’ve beaten the main story.

Gen 5 is my personal favorite gen. Sprite animation is so good in this gen, and it's the last non baby game in this franchise. Plus the story is really good. The only thing I don't like about this game is Cynthia's theme, not nearly as good if it's an octave lower
I love Unova. I beat White a few days ago. My team was Serperior, Scolipede, Krookodile, Sigilyph, Chandelure, and Carracosta!( Vanilluxe was there too.)

Statistically, the emboar line performs the best in both sets of unova games.
Also, why intimidate? The alternative ability for the krookodile line is moxie.
Moxie is used more often in competitive than in playthroughs, imo. And this may sound situational, but if your Krookodile has Moxie, and doesn't have a Rock move against Flying types, you're kinda screwed.
@@kamenriderrain I tend to rum Moxie krookodile in playthroughs because it's a physical attacker and playthroughs are where you'd be most likely to run a full offensive, plus krookodile being a ground type with acces to rock type moves is why I generally run moxie

If you talk to them in Black 2 and White 2, they've torn down their gym and built a restaurant because the Shadow Triad kicked their asses showing how useless they are as gym leaders. Quite unlike the anime.
