Sakura-san was so kind looking after the trees so long and sharing her story, and the Sawaharas are just amazing. It was lovely to meet the CEO of Sakuraco too! I just wish I could afford a subscription...
Fascinating to hear the short interview with Hajime-san, being not only a confectionery maker but a teacher as well, and the behind the scenes!
I've lived in Japan for a very long time and have seen more than my fair share of crazy inside cultural goings-on but nothing like this.
Thanks for the tour. :)
Every one of Jun's videos is like a magical journey and the last part was extra special.
The sakura candy looks so silky and pink. Sooooo pretty!
I just love these videos! I couldn't stop grinning watching the candy factory and interviews. Even the chat with the lady who takes care of the Sakura trees next to the train platform was so delightful!
I really love seeing the behind the scenes of all these craftsmen. That story of the lady who took care of the Sakura really touched me as well. When you put your heart into doing something it really makes it meaningful.
The interaction between the lovely lady in the beginning of the video warms my heart. The way she said there's not much time left for her :'( Thanks to her neverending work, people can create moments with the sakura trees. ❤
Ha, that 10-ton truck didn't even cross my mind as unusual because I'm from the US! It took me a moment to realize how huge our trucks are in comparison!
I am overwhelmed by the politeness of the Japanese people.🥺🥺🥺
I re-joined my subscription. After seeing this video and the last one of the dedication of the craftsmen (and women) I just felt to. I loved the boxes I've had in the past, and now I have an ever greater appreciation for them.
The obaa-chan was super cute. Bless her for taking care of the trees!!
Thank you for showing us these places we'd never know of otherwise! I actually went to the seki seika store during my visit to kyoto in april and bought lots of snacks. The lady working even gifted me some senbei when I showed her your video. I will keep this place in mind for future visits. ♥
May the lady at the beginning have several more years with her beloved Sakura trees 🥺🥺🥺❤ great video as always Jun!
Your videos and your voice are so peaceful.
haku is giving a real 😼in that thumbnail

This is such an interesting series of 'how it's made' videos! Never enjoyed 'sponsored content' as much as these videos! Sakurako, candymakers, Jun all of them are taking so much efforts and making it a very pleasant experience for all of us❤
Hi Jun! I agree everyone said about, the ladyat the beginnigs, the employees and theirs craftmenship, BUT, the "Gibli" scene at the end, the nature, the colors, the Magnificient silver/white tree and the song of that bird....WOW!!!!!!!!! I was just missing feeling the warm Spring sun, and sniffing the subtile flowers perfume of the flowers, the grass and the tree, and It would has been 100%🥰🥰🥰 Thank you so much Jun, this was an exceptionnal video.
The first lady who taken care of her tree is really sweet, she had a lot of patience and passion into her Sakura trees

Japan really do take pride in everything they do, it's always amazes me how much they put attention to detail
What a sweet lady at the beginning of the video! I hope the trees will still be around for a while!
Sawahara-san's lineage is so fascinating! I hope their business is prosperous for many years to come, they seem like lovely people!
Everyone is so humble yet carefully proud of their tradition. Very lovely
Opened the browser and ordered it right after this video!! Thanks Jun and Rachael for keeping sharing Japanese great culture~
Ancient Japanese Tradtition always contemplating the respect for the environment, the human interactions... even for candy, that is a luxury we can have with measure, to create emotional memories since kids to adults. Hooray! to conscious businesses, the love care and beauty they put into them💕
Poor Poki... I hope his nose is all right!
I was shocked that you got to meet the CEO. So cool!!
