So true about these tape measures, love Milwaukee but these have frustrated me as well.
Yup, it's a real shame. I get that they were trying to be innovative with some of the features, but they ended up just being rubbish. I can't believe I was dumb enough to buy another one 🤦♂️

Yup. I’ve still got one floating around as a last resort, but Stanley tarmac is my go to until I find something better.
