  • These 3d looking cutting boards are a great gift for the holiday season. They are not very difficult to make and look fantastic. This video will go through the process to make these boards. It was over a 3-day period. Our inspiration for this project came from different RUclips videos on this cutting board concept. This video will help any DIY person make your own 3d looking cutting board.

    As someone just starting to take woodworking seriously myself, I appreciate your effort. I'm working out of an 8' x 14' shed in my back yard with mostly general construction grade tools, but it's a start. I look forward to watching you and your channel grow. Keep up the good work!
    P.S. If I could offer you one piece of advice...Please be more careful with that table saw. You should NEVER let your fingers get that close to the blade. ;)

      Thanks so much for watching. That is great advice and I will be more careful in the future. Hopefully your shed build goes well. That is a big project that I want to do in the future. Let me know how it goes and if you have some advice on the shed build. Thanks!

    Is it made of wood?

    Did you just use the face grain?

    • @jkwwoodworks
      @jkwwoodworks  Год назад

      I did use the face grain. I thought about using the edge grain but I wanted to use the more decorative side of the board. If you want more longevity, then the edge grain would be more suitable.

    Yo bro, next time let the mineral spirits evaporate before you add your "board butter". Next video, just edit out your screw ups instead of trying to play them off as intentional. However, if they were indeed intentional I would get a little more practice in before showing off to the world.

      Thank you very much for watching my video. Just so you are aware, according to Google, mineral Spírits drying time is about 20 minutes. I have other wood worker friends that have told me to wait at least an hour to let it dry. After I applied the mineral Spírits in this video, I actually waited almost 2 hours before applying the board butter. Sorry that the boards did not appear to be dry in the video. Thank you for your comment.
