The girls has impressive artistic skills, she's probably lucky to have had that as an outlet for her emotions. A shocking story, more power to her.
What a strong courageous woman she is. As for the West Yorkshire police, weren't they the ones who were proven to have tried to cover up their failures in handling the Hillsborough Disaster in 1989?

The police have a lot to answer for how long this went on. He was interview at least 9 times before he was arrested
The Yorkshire Ripper is someone I remember very clearly . I was in the 7th grade when Peter Sutcliffe was arrested . I am from India and had just started to read the newspaper when this happened so it left quite an impression upon me .

I'm sorry for the horrificic ordeal you went through but I'm so glad that you had your art to somewhat process this. I'd love to see the film of you destroying the image you described. I knoow it won't ever completely leave you but this is powerful medicine. Best wishes going forward. I have used poetry to deal with my CPTSD. It helped.

The police behaved worse than the Ripper in suppressing crimes, which helped him continue to kill.

I agree. Not blaming the victim, but if you've got a monster attacking women - and it was clear that by 1980 that the Ripper was murdering ANY woman he could find at night in Leeds - you had better take care not to be caught alone at night as a woman in the city he is attacking. You have to be smarter than that.
