Welcome back to Proguitarshop.com, today we're checking out the Vibe Machine from DryBell. This company out of Croatia has accomplished a huge task by producing an identical Uni-vibe circuit in a smaller enclosure with advanced new features.
In order to recreate the mesmerizing modulation heard from Hendrix, Trower and Gilmour, DryBell uses custom made photocells which are hand matched and run through their own testing equipment designed just for the production of the V-1. The Vibe Machine gives you standard controls for speed and depth plus external trimmers for output volume, overall depth range and symmetry which varies the waveshape of this pedal's throbbing heartbeat. Plus, the DryBell Vibe Machine V-1 can expand on the original tone via a FET input buffer (Bright mode) and an internal jumper to engage an additional output buffer which preserves the guitar's signal strength and the V-1's full frequency range.

I've had mine for around 18 months now, and they really are a great investment, though not cheap by any stretch of the imagination.

I have one of those, an incredible unit, it can go from extremely subtle to wild and it always sound amazing. The quality is superb, as their customer service. There is a (possibly long) waiting list, those unit are totally hand made! But they even give you a nice little present so is worth the wait for :)

I love Vibe pedals, and this one seems to rival the Black Cat... and a LOT smaller too - one thing very needed for a Vibe is an expression pedal input, and this lil' bugger has that too!

I have had a Roger Mayer VooDoo Vibe and a FoxRox Captain Coconut 2. Two of the better, if not the best Uni-Vibe clones.
This thing sounds pretty damn good.

Its got that spongy thing....Hendrix said his Univibe 'sounds like jelly bread'....this thing sounds as close to any Univibe I've ever heard or played through....

The fulltone MDV-3 is AMAZING as well, sounds as close to the original records as any. Really warm. the wah enclosure is nice as well for adjusting speed while playing.

I've seen some recent love for some of the less expensive attempts at Univibe like the MXR, and this is fine, except they lack the pulse, low end, and musical swirl of the original. In other words, they aren't Vibes any more than a solid state practice amp is a Fender Princeton; you CAN still make music with them, but you'll never acheive the potential of the real things. In a bind, you can use a plumbing wrench for a hammer, but it's not going to be pretty....

Is this better than the Viberator ? more loose and open? , more authentic? it does seem to sound wider than your Viberator demo but may be due to the mic..please gimme an honest answer not related to what you have in stock:) thanks

1981Tokai To me it sounds like a riff inspired by Hey Baby (New Rising Sun) by Jimi Hendrix.

If your going to buy a Vibe type pedal you may as well buy the Fulltone Mini Deja-Vibe 3 it's under $300. I've got the Fulltone MDJ-2 and if it's good enough for Robin Trower it good enough for me :-) I don't have to bend down and adjust anything after I set it up, I just use the pedal foot controller to adjust the speed. The Fulltone takes up a good amt. of pedalboard real estate, it's only downfall.

I feel like it's missing that extreme low-end throb you got from the original. However, could be more practical like that.
