I didn’t know curl mix went on shark tank, they’ve been extremely popular in the natural hair community for yearsss. I only never tried them bc it’s expensive and it’s scary to buy expensive products you can’t run to the store and return 😢

I forgot about that episode! The Sharks were so unnecessarily aggressive with them! However, i fee that bun situation, I'm over here healing from a hysterectomy and that bun has been getting me through 😅. Buuuuuuut in a couple weeks I'll be able to do my hair and I really want to try (and support) Curl Mix.
I love curl mix!! The watermelon line specifically. My curls were curling and that watermelon hemp seed oil....gurl... chef's kiss. AND, curl mix opened up investing opportunities to their customers!! I jumped on that so ish so fast

“I’ve had braids and a baby” 😂 me currently ! I’m getting induced on the 10th so I have simplified my routine recently to wash, condition, then leave in because I know that my hair is going to hit the back burner for a while 😅😂

I have always wanted you to do a review on Curlmix so thank you!! I was hoping you would do this review before I purchased the products but that's ok. I have been a Curlmix fan for years! I only use them on my hair. I even joined their club where you pay money & can use points to get their new products quarterly. I also joined their FB group. I usually use the vanilla line, but I might venture into the watermelon. Right now, I'm using the luscious lotus line. I also LOVE their hair wax because I can change my hair color without damaging my curls. Thanks again for your videos!! Keep shinning your light!
I tried CurlMix when I first went natural and I wanted to love it but I hated it. The smell was amazing as I got the watermelon scent but the Aloe shampoo had my hair feeling like wire. The conditioner is fine but the gel left me with so many flakes. I tried it for several weeks and the same results. I even contacted the company to report my results and leave feedback. I don’t think my hair likes flaxseed gels and the aloe shampoos was bad. I even tried the Dove Amplified textures aloe shampoo and the same thing. But aloe in my curl custard is fine.🤷🏽♂️

I LOVE the CurlMix flax gel - the lemon creme is divine. On my hair (3A, fine but high density) it's a perfect one and done.
2:35 it didn’t bother me when a white woman said she’s only interested in making curly hair straight… it just reminds me why the natural hair community started because personally as a black woman I don’t think black people/mixed race people/people of color deserve anything less than to embrace the unique hair that God blessed us with.
I felt the same way when I watched the episode. They have been in my list since they were on there.

Love the hairstyle! Their products are also in TJMaxx and Burlington sometimes for like $6.99 a bottle. I bought one once, and it was good, but some of their stuff have silicones which at the time I was 100% against it. Definitely need to try them again!
In what State TJ Max and Burlington? I never did see it but I’m in Connecticut so maybe not here.

I really enjoy using Curl Mix. Currently, I'm using the Lavender scent. I prefer to use the styling product in reverse order 4 & 3 which gives me a better wash-n-go than using them as a 3 & 4 combo. They do have sales so it's possible to get the kit for less if you sign up for their email. I don't know how to french braid or cornrow so I will make two braids and pin them around my head to get a crown braid look.

TBH I couldn’t figure out why someone would go through all that. And then when you said this for if can’t braid to the scalp, I remembered not everyone knows how to that. So this hairstyle is a hack for if you can Dutch braid. It’s funny how, for me at least, when you have know how to do something for so long it becomes second nature you can forget not everyone knows how to do that too. So thanks for making this people for the people who don’t know how to Dutch braid but love it when I do this hairstyle I can tell them to watch your video to get the same look.

how do you get that definition 😍 I have to go curl by curl with my daughter so that her curls are well defined, otherwise her curls look very frizzy
I used CurlMix for a while and liked it overall. My biggest issues were not the product itself but the packaging. I don't really like pump bottles in general because I feel Iike a lot of the product is either unaccessible or hard to get to when it's low, especially for thicker products like conditioner and gel. It felt a bit wasteful. I really wish they came in a jar or squeeze bottle.
I didn’t get the same results as Bianca with this product, but if it is Bianca Renee approved it , I am willing to try another one again.
Maybe try reversing the 3 & 4 combo and use it as a 4 & 3 combo. I get a better overall result using it that way, and of course, I use plenty of water during application.
I bought this product in watermelon scent. The shampoo and conditioner is great. The leave in and gel were not cutting it. Those gave me zero hold and my hair did not look good. So the shampoo and conditioner was a yes, the rest was a big no.
