I am old and lucky enough to have tried many full bottles of vintage Macallan including pre war and Old and Rare. I have also tried quite a few miniatures from a similar time and often encountered an off note not there in the 70/75cl. I do doubt the integrity of the small bottle packaging and cap which often has that coated cardboard disc in the top which I suspect taints the whisky after time.
I would love to try it, but for now I'm happy sipping my Bunahabhain 12 while watching this video! 🥃

This was my thought with smaller bottles. Although Macallan style did still come through, it was just odd to have such a powerful example.
