There are a lot of these fake Airpods for sale around the internet so just be careful. Sometimes the box looks better than the ones I showed, and sometimes its more obvious. While they still work as headphones, it would be pretty unfortunate to get scammed by someone selling them saying they are real.
The safest thing you can do is buy directly from Apple or a real store. Amazon usually has them cheaper than Apple's full price.

Bruh the weirdest thing is i had a pair of “genuine airpods” i got from a dude on ebay and i used em for a whole year then one stopped charging so I decided to run the cereal number and they weren’t real but the crazy part is they were louder and more bass boosted then my current real ones but they never told me the right battery percentage for them so they suck anyway lmao

I’ve had mine for a year and only just now found out they are fake. But oh my god they are incredible copy’s. The only give away is the fact that mine don’t display correct battery life. I’ve been very happy with them but the right one is losing battery really quickly so I’ve just ordered some refurbished AirPod pros

Inside of the case there is a "serial number" given, can you check what happens on apples homepage when you go to "check coverage" and enter the serial number ?

When you bought them I guess the UK was still in the European Union. The CE symbol is a mandatory certification for all electronics sold in all European countries, so it is perfectly normal.
FC is the “American version of CE” for electronics.

This is my test for determining if AirPods are real
1. Look at the back and if there is text Designed by Apple Assembled and in China
(Some Fake AirPods already have this)
2. Look at the top inside the AirPods charging case and if there is writing it’s real
3. Put the AirPod black dot sensor on your camera and if you see a purple/pink glow it’s real
4. Audio delay, if there’s audio delay more then 0.1 seconds it’s fake, real AirPods have almost no delay and you can check this with a video

I have fake AirPods that didn’t even try to look too close to it but honestly I think it’s not bad actually…. Having real AirPods and fake ones are not as bad as some people may think it really is. I prefer the quality vs the price and how much money you really spend on something. Having expensive stuff doesn’t really change you as a person unless you start to be a very braggy and mean person because you want to show off your parents money. But about the video is for people who might have been scammed for buying them when they are not even real like promised from the seller.

It's just the Bluetooth settings on Mac OS. If you have Windows it's probably different
I got some AirPods online and everything in this video says they’re real but I noticed one difference, my low battery sound is different than normal AirPods. Other than that they’re pretty good.
It's very hard to tell now. I've seen fakes with all the barcodes on the box as well as serial codes on the actual case. You just never know. If you want real then buy only at apple. Otherwise .. I wouldn't pay more than 80 for any other pair.
I paid 30 for fakes that have the barcode and the serial number on the inside of the case. Its crazy

the fake markings are real on the second generation non wireless charging, the CE is in the left, also a am good way to check if your airpods are real is to check bluetooth model number, if it’s A2031 or A2032 it’s real (for the second generation)

the infomation on the top cover doesnt really mean its fake, sometimes real airpods have those markings on the top cover of the charging case

Hey guys, since there are so many questions about specific things here are a few more FAQs I can answer (please subscribe too!):
ERROR: The CE mark is not a sign it's fake. The CE mark is used in Europe. The fake pair is just a copy of a European model as opposed to a North American model.
Q: Where can I find info about Airpods Pro and not the original Airpods? A: ruclips.net/video/INsWBS9-L90/видео.html
Q: What if I don't have a light on the outside of my case? A: Nothing wrong with that, just means you don't have the wireless charging model
Q: Where did you buy it and how much did it cost? A: I found it on Reddit and it was $45~, but it took 6 weeks to ship and arrive
Q: Is it worth getting the fake ones? A: Not sure, you can find the real ones on sale at $110 once in a while (for the non-wireless charging pair). Hard to explain the sound difference over a video, but the sound is probably 15% worse on the fake ones.
Q: Your clone is bad. A: I got this clone in January 2020, it was supposively the best clone at the time. I'm sure there are better ones now
