These photos were taken from the 17th Annual Mercedes-Benz Carousel of Hope Ball at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Oct. 28, 2006, in Beverly Hills, California.
Ironically, this is the same hotel where Whitney died 6 years after these photos... Rest In Peace, Always and forever: THE VOICE!

One of the things that make me admire Whitney at her prime, was the fact that she had such control of her voice and of the song, that she could be creative in every performance!
At her prime years (until 1996), she made so many different arrangements for Hits like Saving my love for you, etc. and everytime I see her performances I say WOW! this is not only high notes, this is pure CREATIVITY... She really created a standard and style of live performer that every new singer only try to achieve!

Man I wish there was video of her singing this live! I loved watching her get lost in a song, all while taking you on that journey with her. And it always looked so effortless. Who else could tear up a song like her, and still look so beautiful? She never made ugly faces while trying to hit those notes. And when her upper lip started sweating and that bottom jaw started trembling, it was over, haha! I can't believe Whitney was only 23 when this was recorded. AMAZING! JUST AMAZING!!

Every generation should have one.And Whitney Houston is mine.Jennifer belongs to the next generation and you have to love Jennifer for living up to singers that came and went like Whitney Houston.But she was at the top of her game here! GOD loved Whitney.

I am a music lover, of all genres. And I was and am still a huge Whitney fan. Man o' man, this is the absolute, hands down best vocal performance of any song by any singer I have EVER heard! She sounds like she is transcending to another level. This song has been ripped to shreds! I agree with a couple of the other posts that mention the "me" she sings at the very end. That note is definitely coming from another place, a higher plane. She is having an outer body experience by that point!
