It's interesting how his voice and accent has changed over the years. I know some of that is character specific, but he's gotten a slight edge to his voice that has aged well.
I was surprised to read somewhere that Bob doesn't smoke. Because, comparing his voice today to how he sounded during Mr. Show, I would have instantly concluded the rasp was due to years of smoking.
The acting in Better Call Saul is so phenomenal, I can not think of any characters in a series that reached that level of depth like Jimmy and Kim. What the writers and actors did so far is outstanding
I spent years not watching Better Call Saul because I thought it would be boring. Boy, how WRONG I was! It's such a fantastic show: beautiful performances, engaging story, great characters and writing. Just as good as Breaking Bad for sure.
Yes same here I kinda had a feeling that there was no point watching the show without Walt's drama. Only then I realised Saul was the progonist of both shows and Walt was just an annoying guy who destroyed everyone.

As basic as you might imagine the role of a sleezy lawyer, his character as Saul Goodman was incredibly likable and unique, he became one of my favorite roles in the Breaking Bad world, you truly see it in Better Call Saul.

Captain America before transformation
It's interesting how his voice and accent has changed over the years. I know some of that is character specific, but he's gotten a slight edge to his voice that has aged well.
Yeah, you couldn’t describe his voice as “horse” before, but now you can
I was surprised to read somewhere that Bob doesn't smoke. Because, comparing his voice today to how he sounded during Mr. Show, I would have instantly concluded the rasp was due to years of smoking.
Probably has dry mouth and needs to drink lots of water haha idk
The acting in Better Call Saul is so phenomenal, I can not think of any characters in a series that reached that level of depth like Jimmy and Kim. What the writers and actors did so far is outstanding
I spent years not watching Better Call Saul because I thought it would be boring. Boy, how WRONG I was! It's such a fantastic show: beautiful performances, engaging story, great characters and writing. Just as good as Breaking Bad for sure.
@@gk7908 Agree
Yes same here I kinda had a feeling that there was no point watching the show without Walt's drama. Only then I realised Saul was the progonist of both shows and Walt was just an annoying guy who destroyed everyone.
I've been a huge fan of Bob's since the "Ben Stiller Show" days, and it's been such a pleasure to watch his career grow and flourish over the years. So glad he's doing better health wise, can't wait to read his new book, I'm practically foaming at the mouth in anticipation of the final season of BCS, and I can't wait to see what he does next. He's the best.
As basic as you might imagine the role of a sleezy lawyer, his character as Saul Goodman was incredibly likable and unique, he became one of my favorite roles in the Breaking Bad world, you truly see it in Better Call Saul.
This guy looks like he knows a guy,who knows a guy,who knows another guy.
Need to see this guy in more roles. He was phenomenal as Saul/Jimmy and always will be but it’d be nice to see him recognized as something more than that
Breaking bad is one of the best tv shows of all time
it's not one of, it IS the best
@@farmerfrugal Better Call Saul is better
Breaking Bad, The Sopranos and The Wire are my top 3
DUH
Better Call Saul is a zillion times better imo
Shame he didn't talk about Fargo season one.
Agreed, that was a pretty good role.
Agreed. I was hoping for that.
Not iconic, he's only a minor character there
@@julzworld333 ok....explain why an episode of Seinfeld made it.
@@patb20civic Seinfeld is generally more popular and iconic than Fargo, that's why they included his character there.
Why TF didn’t he get any Emmy awards? Mystifying! He’s such a great actor!
I've never heard anyone that naturally has a commercial narrator voice except him
Will arnett, he’s got that animated voice I didn’t even notice in the Reese’s commercial...
his voice is in all of Cinco products' commercials
@@WeTheMajority I'm realising now they have a lot on common. Very similar careers, starting as classic sketch comedians and later being a cast in a fantastic show that slowly demands a much more dramatic side, and they did it successfully. Aaron Paul and David Cross are very important in both of their profesional lives. They also has appeared in a lot of the same projects (and I like them both a lot)
John Cena for some reason too
Patrick Fabian has one too!
Always makes me happy to see talented actors get the recognition they deserve. Better late than never
The casting and acting is as good as it gets. Both breaking bad and better call Saul are masterpieces. Always worth a rewatch
I could listen to that voice forever.
Extremely humble man. Amazing actor. 10/10

Bob Odenkirk is my favorite person in all of Hollywood history, just based on what he's helped create alone (Mr Show above all). Writing, Producing, and Acting in that order, and his acting is still perfect for this role.
Pull through Bob Odenkirk! We are all rooting for you.
Not going to lie “nobody” was one of my favorite movies I’ve ever seen. The action was great but also had a great comedy value that I loved. May be a predictable badass movie but it hit me different.
Dude, it's my favorite movie of all time as well. Everyone jerking off to John Wick as the pinacle of action is laughable
The director also made Hardcore Henry, a very unique experience but yet again incredible action.
I would love to see Bob Odenkirk guest star on It's Always Sunny before that ends. Bob's got the right chops for it.
"He nailed him better than I did" - Bob Odenkirk
What an absolute freaking legend! I cannot wait to watch Nobody JUST for him!
Seeing Bob's real personality here which seems is so opposite Jimmy really gives me even more respect for his use of acting skills on Saul
Girl: "Hey your not (famous actor)
Bob: "I was last night"
(My favorite scene)
It was Kevin Costner.
'...the door sticks' ;)
@@danielcardiff3861 it was Charlie Hustle.
mines the one where w white fires him after sauls delivering of ´´ on one hand, she did sneak off the reservation to get some dirty damp and deep, but on the other hand...´´ line, through walts rage and mike s intervention, bob s seriously a funny acting monster.
Such a good-natured and humble guy, didn't even mention how he had triples of the Barracuda, the Road Runner, AND the Nova.
I love how sincere and humble he is.
Bob odenkirk became one of my biggest celeb crushes after BCS.
Also mine
Samesies!
Outside of Mike, he’s my favorite character on BB and BCS
Badger: “so are you gonna get me off?”
Saul: “what, do I look like your high school girlfriend?”
you sneaky pete
I automatically read it as “Saul Goodman breaks down his iconic characters”
Happy Bob Odenkirk is okay after his heart attack last week! We love you Bob! Eff the award shows. You are the Best Actor to all of your fans!!
So crazy to think the first thing I saw him in was Tim & Eric. He's had such a varied career, great versatile comedic and dramatic actor.
Same & agreed
Loved Bob in Undone....that was a very moving, and dramatically underrated show with a unique animation style.
Highly recommend it to those who don't know about it.
Hutch Mansel sounds like a name of a Mr. Show character.
I have binge watched Better Call Saul this year, and has been one of the best decisions I've made, I put it off for so long, which I shouldn't have! I don't want it to end
he is great in Undone too!!!! playing her dead dad in a semi animated way. I swear, he is in every show I watch and I just love him everytime
Sweet, raspy voice. Loved it ever since hearing "Winston Deaver" in *Incredibles 2.* He sounds half his age. ❤❤
Dude's an awesome actor and I'm glad he's getting recognition
I have just finished watching Breaking Bad for the second time, yesterday.
Bob is an epic actor, love the man.
I just started binge watching Better Call Saul, great actor.
@@freeross371 Oh I enjoyed it a lot.
It's quality.
Saul Goodman is one of the best characters who ever exist
this man is a legend, anyone else notice his sideburns?
i don't know what is it about him, but Bob has a family vibe about him
Massive dad energy
He's great with old people
It's his midwestern accent
I was thinking the same, there's something about him that causes empathy , he reminds me of my dad and i don't even know why
